R15 I’m not the one who made the suggestion, but I think rather than meaning every fan selfie or anything, they mean the ones like the Boston pic, because it’s the only picture we have (had) of B in Boston. Sure, we knew he was there, thanks to his ig and the guy that saw them out to dinner, but a picture is different. Like, nobody needs to screenshot every selfie R takes with fans at an event- we know very well he’s there. Or even people not dismissing the relationship, like the way there was arguments from some people for months that maybe Brandon wasn’t in Scotland for anything to do with Richard over New Years until someone found that tweet definitely saying he was in Skye and blasting him for not taking a pic there very recently.

Someone mentioned in the previous tread that it was Kevin who moved out of their home in LA, but that's not correct, or? I thought it was the other way around, that it was Brandon who moved out to live with Richard. If you look at Kevin's IG, he seems to live at same place as before.

I know I should say they were in one since Miles denies it but looking at those photos from Brandon's family it's really hard to see anything other than a cute couple. I actually haven't watched 13RW myself (yet. I will since everyone keeps saying how good Brandon is in it), but it did make waves, it is a Netflix show when, at the time of s2 airing, Netflix was also going to be in charge of Bodyguard in the US market, so who knows. 13 RW can be a bit of a tough sell, but the acting is actually quite decent given all the ink that has been written about the show. In April CBS wrote an article pretty much tying suicide to the premiere of 13 Reasons Why.

To me there is not relation to be honest. If someone is fragile enough that they can be persuaded (by a show no less) to commit suicide, chances are other triggers were at play when the person committed /attempted suicide.

I wonder if Bflynn watched Bodyguard before they met...I honestly could see him doing so since it was making headlines for the crazy viewership on BBC and was acquired by Netflix. He’s very up to date with a lot of shows and movies so I wouldn’t be surprised if he had seen it prior to meeting Richard.

I think the topics that they cover in the show are just uncomfortable for loads of parents in the US because no one wants to believe their kids could be going through what Hannah Baker does. I hated the show myself actually and wanted it off Netflix because I thought it was doing more harm than good. I’m sorry, but this “hiding his likes” thing is just ridiculous. He clearly hasn’t because we HAVE seen when he’s on. Also why is everyone ignoring the fact that Richard has also not been on much?? Thats the thing though - people are too dumb to just “figure it out” unless they’re making out on the street. To some people it was obvious they are dating after seeing pictures of Richard with his hand on B’s neck while other people think it’s just a close friendship because it was assumed Richard was straight. It’s the figuring out that increases the attention on them. If they just say “yes he’s my bf” I don’t think there would be half the attention or articles written about them if they just confirm their relationship. People are just naturally nosey and want to know.

R592 - I fully agree with what you wrote. I think that if they admited it, the public interest in their relationship would decrease. Now public (who cares for whatever reason) is stuck arguing because some people are just dumb and feel the need to defend R's supposed straightness which is food for gossip sites and tabloids who are out to get them and write articles about every little thing that appears. It's their life though.
