If we really want to be honest, the Daytime Emmys never really meant anything. It was no more important than the SOAPYS or the Soap Opera Digest Awards or the Daytime TV Awards. It has always been a popularity contest.

There was a brief time they had some meaning, but overall, it fell to the same weaknesses that plagues the nighttime Emmys: that most people vote for the familiar vs on the work itself, and block voting always rears its ugly head.

I assume the Gina/Daniel comment was about Gina looking and being a bit younger than Staph Infection. It was a stretch that Graz was Staph's son but perhaps believable if we consider Phyllis as a young teen mom. But Gina and Graz are five years apart, and just look way too much like siblings to be believable as mom/son.

So Daniel has been off canvas.

I think if Graz doesn't want to come back they should recast him, and de-age him just a bit, as they have with Adam. If they could do that AND finally get a hot dude to play Scott Granger, they might finally have a few younger generation studs worth watching.
