Is Sandy Duncan dead or still alive?

On the "celebrities you wish were still alive" thread, the OP claims Sandy Duncan is dead; but others on the thread claim she is still alive.

We of course can settle these debates on DL in only one way: with a poll.

r1, where the fuck do you assume I got the same image as at your post?

by Anonymousreply 3June 7, 2019 4:24 AM

Sandy Dennis is dead. Someone probably confused the names.

by Anonymousreply 4June 7, 2019 4:25 AM

Save me, Datalounge!

by Anonymousreply 5June 7, 2019 4:28 AM

R3 Then read it. She’s alive.

by Anonymousreply 6June 7, 2019 4:30 AM

It's hard, dealing with the severely mentally retarded.

by Anonymousreply 7June 7, 2019 4:32 AM

Sandy Duncan is 73 and living in New York City.

by Anonymousreply 8June 7, 2019 4:33 AM

Please define "alive".

by Anonymousreply 9June 7, 2019 4:33 AM

Just a couple of minutes ago I was watching a YouTube clip of a 1970s Dean Martin roast of Sammy Davis Jr.

Foster Brooks referred to Sammy Davis Jr as Sandy Duncan Jr.

by Anonymousreply 10June 7, 2019 4:34 AM

Does Sandy get a lifetime supply of Wheat Thins? And can she sub Triscuits, with all their new flavors? Asking for Jason Bateman.

by Anonymousreply 11July 5, 2020 8:30 PM

Sandy became a grandmother for the first time last year. She has two sons, one straight and one gay, just the way the lord intended it to be.

by Anonymousreply 12July 5, 2020 8:34 PM

How does one tell?

by Anonymousreply 13July 5, 2020 8:35 PM

SANDY is alive. Her EYE is dead.

by Anonymousreply 14July 5, 2020 8:37 PM

It's just an urban legend that she choked to death on a Wheat Thin.

by Anonymousreply 15July 5, 2020 8:38 PM

I just wonder if she sees eye to eye with her gay son.

by Anonymousreply 16July 5, 2020 8:47 PM

She's alive. Her career is dead.

by Anonymousreply 17July 5, 2020 8:52 PM

Valerie Harper is DEAD!

I'm alive! Sandy the Cat is ALIVE!!!

by Anonymousreply 18July 5, 2020 9:10 PM

She's alive! But Val Harper is Dead!

Dead, dead, dead!

by Anonymousreply 19July 5, 2020 9:11 PM

One of my favorite Foster Brooks' lines is from a Dean Martin roast of Sammy Davis, and Brooks called him Sandy Duncan Jr.

by Anonymousreply 20July 5, 2020 9:15 PM

R18, I coughed up a long laughing. Omg, I'm still recovering.

by Anonymousreply 21July 5, 2020 9:24 PM

*a lung, after a long laugh!

by Anonymousreply 22July 5, 2020 9:25 PM

Wherever she is I hope she is still skinny dipping/

Cute interview that Sandy did with Dick Cavett, discussing her eye debacle. She definitely seemed to be flirting with Dicky...turns out she'd just gotten divorced around the time of this interview.

Where is this thread?

by Anonymousreply 25November 11, 2020 4:27 PM

She received rave reviews as a replacement Roxie in the Broadway revival of Chicago but four weeks into her run she broke her foot. NEXT!

by Anonymousreply 26November 11, 2020 4:29 PM

Her husband Don Correia was sex on a stick back in his Broadway heyday. I saw him as a replacement in the original Chorus Line, she and he replaced Twiggy and Tommy Tune in My One and Only, he starred in the Gene Kelly role in Twyla Thorpe's Broadway version of Singing in the Rain, etc. He was in the last two revivals of Follies! Always loved me some Don Correia.

She was a sensational Peter Pan. I saw that production three times and she always brought down the house. Trivia: she was the first Peter Pan to actually fly out over the audience. Minor personal trivia: Christopher Hewett replaced George Rose as Captain Hook in that production and Hewett was infinitely better.

The Olds.

Uninsurable.

by Anonymousreply 28November 11, 2020 4:49 PM

She’s alive, it’s Abe Vigoda, her doppelgänger who has sadly 😞 passed

by Anonymousreply 29November 11, 2020 4:52 PM

She was the best Peter Pan ever!

by Anonymousreply 30November 11, 2020 4:55 PM

I remember when Daphne was her stand-in (the Scooby Doo Movies had a wide variety of guest stars).

She was fired from her last Broadway show because she has dementia and couldn't remember her lines.

by Anonymousreply 34November 11, 2020 6:46 PM

Mary Martin Syndrome.

[quote]Mary Martin Syndrome. —Carol Channing

Yeah, Mary Martin.

by Anonymousreply 36November 11, 2020 6:51 PM

Yeah, Elaine Stritch

by Anonymousreply 37November 11, 2020 7:05 PM

[quote]Yeah, Elaine Stritch —Mary Tyler Moore exiting Neil Simon play

I did NOT exit due to memory loss. I exited because his bitchy wife was mean to me.

by Anonymousreply 38November 11, 2020 7:08 PM

She is alive because I just ate her out last week.

by Anonymousreply 39November 11, 2020 7:18 PM

Maybe God have her real wings or some crap like that!

by Anonymousreply 40November 11, 2020 7:33 PM

r38 Elaine Joyce was doing Simon's bidding when she told Mary to learn her lines -- or else.

by Anonymousreply 41November 11, 2020 7:46 PM

She’s fine. She sends her love.

I, on the other hand.....

by Anonymousreply 42November 11, 2020 7:49 PM

Don was Sandy's THIRD husband. She was starting to get into Elizabeth Taylor territory there.

by Anonymousreply 43November 11, 2020 7:50 PM

Is this original Sandy Duncan or replacement Sandy Duncan? I don't think we will ever really know the answer to this question.

by Anonymousreply 44November 11, 2020 7:53 PM

Don and Sandy have been married since 1980. Sounds like a lasting arrangement to me. And Don as an elder was still sex on a stick.
