You're not so mentally ill you need a conservatorship and are unable to even hire a lawyer to represent yourself, though, are you?

Everyday people take pills that are essentially uppers in the morning, downers in the evening. But they're not taking a strong amphetamine in the morning and then a strong antipsychotic in the evening.

Seroquel with an amphetamine is usually prescribed in low doses to combat ADHD with co-morbid aggression and agitation. The amphetamines also help with side effects of Seroquel.

That said, recent research has shown that, because these meds both work on the D2 receptor, they can often cancel each other out. (They work on other receptors, too, but the D2 is what we're concerned with here.) Thus, antipsychotics and amphetamines aren't prescribed together as much as they used to be a couple of decades ago.

If she's being given a cocktail of antipsychotics and amphetamines, that really only points to ADHD with side effects that need managing and/or ADHD with agitation or aggression, very common comorbidities for ADHD. Nothing to get institutionalized or be forced into a conservatorship for.

From what I’ve heard, Britney was doing lots and lots of meth, when she had her breakdown in 2008. This was the rumor in Hollywood, & I find this to be a reasonable explanation for her erratic behavior at that time.

Basically, she’d do a line, or smoke some, and would immediately go into these paranoid, manic episodes, and hallucinate that the police were coming in order to permanently separate her from her boys. She even thought people were trying to kill her.

This might all be bullshit, but this is what I heard from someone who was informed regarding the situation at that time.

If true, then she should have the conservatorship terminated. However, if she is using drugs again, it won’t be easy.

Or, it could be that Britney is experiencing a genuine mental health crisis due to relapse, or mismanagement of meds, because of the stress she is experiencing from her father being sick.

Usually the judge also wants the person to continue to live within the jurisdiction where the conservatorship is set up, so he can keep an eye on it. That might be the real reason why she can’t move to Atlanta.
