I have just seen the 'Ben is Back' trailer. It seems to me that it is a proper film, unlike Beautiful Boy where very little happens. Yes, Tim is cute and that but at this point, I am wondering who is he fucking, because there is no way that on his own just like that he get the 'fanfare' that goes on around him.

R4 Beautiful Boy has its problems, yes, but so does Ben Is Back. It starts off alright but then it just kind of falls apart. The tone is all over the place. Kind of underwhelming, but the performances are pretty good.

As for your second point, what do you mean by fanfare? Isn't it mostly online still, and only in certain spaces? I think we're in a little bit of a bubble where we see that stuff because we kind of seek it out and hang out in spaces where other people do as well (whether that's social media, gossip sites or film sites etc.) I definitely agree that sometimes it seems like way too much, like a couple of months ago when every little thing he did made some kind of headline. That was ridiculous. He's still unknown to most people though, and I hope it doesn't get worse if/when he becomes more known.

You can frequently have someone come hang out with you while you are away for work and they dont have to work for you. The frequent travel can get boring alone, and having friends to eat and hang with on your downtime is nice. I think he was talking about Armie for sure. Given how much they talk and that he wouldn’t say the person’s name. This was an instance where he couldn’t come right out and say Armie without it seeming weird. Especially in a national magazine interview that would be widely read. Does anyone else love how well-spoken Timmy is? Especially for his age. I've been watching tons of interviews from the CMBYN promo tour and his answers were always so thoughtful and intelligent. He seems like someone who feels and thinks so deeply.

I was watching the One & Two SXSW videos earlier today, and I have never before heard an actor speak with such a comprehensive grasp of the role he was playing and how it interconnected with the concept of movie as a whole. He even expounded on the parental characters as a metaphor for what they go through in a divorce. If you watch the interviews for the first time, you get the impression from his uninterested, chewing-gum persona, that he's somewhat douch-ey, but you would have to admit, when he speaks his mind in-depth on the subject of the movie's plot and characters, his intelligence glows. Armie was right, he is a young man with the gift of the wisdom of an old sage.

This person is a fan of Armie's and asked his friend about Armie, what he's like, etc. So his friend told him what it was like working with him. He also said, quote: "Armie must be pretty close with Timothee Chalamet. He talked about Timothee often. Always smiled and seemed happy when he brought him up in the conversation."

And up until that point he was regularly commenting and liking their pics. Don’t think that’s a coincidence. I’m personally of the opinion that he was not a fan of the plan they had all cooked up to hire Lily as a beard as a cover for Tim’s personal life. He didn’t go to the Bahamas either when most of Tim’s other friends did and only followed Lily for like a week. I think he wanted Timmy to not get involved in all this mess and yeah, I think he’s definitely not a fan of Armie at this point because he probably blames him for a lot of what has happened. One of Lily’s friends unfollowed her own boyfriend, on the outside we’ll never know why these things happen. But everyone will come up with reasons that fit whatever narrative they want to believe.
