Lee Radziwell Dead at 85
|by Anonymous||reply 531||Last Monday at 8:32 AM|
She truly was America's princess!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||02/16/2019|
I wonder if Carol will inherit? Perfect time for her to return to RHNYC.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||02/16/2019|
Good Riddance to the original A Low Vera.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||02/16/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 4||02/16/2019|
But what about Lee Radziwill?
Am I still safe?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||02/16/2019|
Wow - once again the DL is ahead of the curve. Lots of discussion about her recently. Can we do the same for Trump?
|by Anonymous||reply 6||02/16/2019|
She's that classy lady that no one really's sure where she's the princess of.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||02/16/2019|
She was on the last pallet of yellow government cheese inherited from Jackie.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||02/16/2019|
Did she leave Carole anything in her will?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||02/16/2019|
So sad! She died without ever reclaiming her rightful throne of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. RIP, our sweet princess.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||02/16/2019|
I believe she has a daughter. Carole was on the outs with her. Well known fact.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||02/16/2019|
What a complicated life.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||02/16/2019|
Perhaps that young chap Steve grande in a jockstrap could rustle up a swan song for her.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||02/16/2019|
She will be missed.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||02/16/2019|
The poor woman is dead and you can't be bothered to spell her name right? Show some respect, bitch!
|by Anonymous||reply 15||02/16/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 16||02/16/2019|
Her first husband was Michael Canfield, the illegitimate son of the gay Duke of Kent...
|by Anonymous||reply 17||02/16/2019|
I always found her to to be more interesting and attractive than Jackie.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||02/16/2019|
Link for r17
|by Anonymous||reply 19||02/16/2019|
How many of you ladies actually know how to pronounce her last name correctly?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||02/16/2019|
Do you think Carole will go to the funeral?
|by Anonymous||reply 21||02/16/2019|
She was just mentioned on the "are there any real socialites thread". Aww, Poor Princess; RIP.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||02/16/2019|
She has a daughter Anna that I know nothing about.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||02/16/2019|
Fun that WWD broke the news...
|by Anonymous||reply 24||02/16/2019|
Word on the street is that Lee and the entire Kennedy clan wanted nothing to do with Carole anymore.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||02/16/2019|
LOL There is no Kennedy family anymore! Wish there was a gay Kennedy though!!
|by Anonymous||reply 26||02/16/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 27||02/16/2019|
Herbie hated her
|by Anonymous||reply 28||02/16/2019|
She was a confidante of Capote!
|by Anonymous||reply 29||02/16/2019|
This came out a few days ago:
EXCLUSIVE: Unique, forgotten footage of Lee Radziwill and Jackie Kennedy Onassis' summer on Andy Warhol's Montauk estate is unearthed
|by Anonymous||reply 30||02/16/2019|
Her tv debut in "Laura".....I tuned in! Is it available? Wasn't Robert Stack in it?
And what about "The Philadelphia Story"?
That was the end of that.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||02/16/2019|
She dated Peter Beard. She knew and socialized with Nureyev, among many, many other fascinating people. That woman lived my dream life.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||02/16/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 33||02/16/2019|
We used to call her 'Turkey Jerky' behind her back.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||02/16/2019|
carole was her daughter in law, not her daughter.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||02/16/2019|
Her son Anthony died young of cancer, I wonder if he and Lee were close or estranged?
|by Anonymous||reply 36||02/16/2019|
She adored dark, uncut sizemeat and HATED RUBBERS!
|by Anonymous||reply 37||02/16/2019|
Ann Slaters gone, now Lee. The era DL love so much is ending with everyone of these socialites who pass on.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||02/16/2019|
R22 can you post that thread please? Thanks.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||02/16/2019|
"They're just a couple of fags"
|by Anonymous||reply 40||02/16/2019|
R39 here you go.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||02/16/2019|
R26 Of course some of the Kennedy’s are gay, just closeted. There are too many of them not for some to be gay. Joe Jr, the one who’s plain went down in WWII was gay, I’m certain of it.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||02/16/2019|
Anthony Radziwill and I both attended and graduated from Boston University's College of Communications. We graduated in in May 1982. BU had a main graduation for the entire school; however, each college within the university had its own separate, smaller graduation--and that's the one that Anthony and I attended. He was an undergrad, and I was a graduate student, but both groups of students graduated together at the smaller, college graduations. Lee, Jackie, Tina, Caroline and John-John sat right in the front row just a few feet away from the graduating students waiting in line before going on stage. There was no security surrounding them. I couldn't take my eyes off the whole family of course focusing on Jackie. They were just like a normal family cheering on Anthony when his name was called. The Radziwill and Kennedy clan had an extraordinary way of just focusing on each other and tuning out everyone surrounding them who were obviously staring at all of them. Anyway, it was all very exciting and added a nice touch of celebrity to my graduation. I am also from Boston, and at the time, Joe Kennedy III and his wife and kids also lived up the street from me. Yes, there were Kennedys all over Boston at the time.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||02/16/2019|
Tina, the daughter?
|by Anonymous||reply 44||02/16/2019|
Ghastly old cow.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||02/16/2019|
R45 = Jackie
|by Anonymous||reply 46||02/16/2019|
I was always the pretty one.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||02/16/2019|
But I had more class.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||02/16/2019|
R44: Yes, Princess Anna Christina (Tina) Radziwill is Lee's daughter and Anthony's sister (and Caroline and John's cousin.) Carole Ann Radziwill was Anthony's wife and currently is on the piece of shit Real Housewives show. (Prince) Anthony died of cancer in 1999 at 40, less than a month after JFK Jr died.
Anna Christina, like her mother, Lee, is also royal: Princess Anna Christina "Tina" Radziwill(18 August 1960) she married Octavio Arancio in September 1999 and they were divorced in 2005.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||02/16/2019|
Thanks for sharing R43. I think my eyes would have been glued to them the whole time too.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||02/16/2019|
Goodnight, Sweet Princess...may you and your beautiful sister enjoy unlimited SNAP benefits for all of eternity.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||02/16/2019|
She was just some rich, over-privileged socialite. Who gives a shit in 2019?
|by Anonymous||reply 52||02/16/2019|
And she treated ME like shit!!!
Rot in HELL, bitch!!!!
That was MY SEAT!!! And MY FILM.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||02/16/2019|
That’s not true, r42. Joe was going to marry ME!
|by Anonymous||reply 54||02/16/2019|
As someone who is not rich, or a socialite of any kind. I am actually interested. Who are the people of interest in 2019? There aren't any. The politicians? AOC? Warren? Trump? No thanks. You don't get it.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||02/16/2019|
Meant that for R2^
|by Anonymous||reply 56||02/16/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 57||02/16/2019|
Funny that you hear almost nothing about her daughter, Tina Radziwill.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||02/16/2019|
She really had no grandchildren?
|by Anonymous||reply 59||02/16/2019|
She had Alzheimer's, her mother did too.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||02/16/2019|
goes to heaven, even god calls her Jackie's sister
|by Anonymous||reply 61||02/16/2019|
Always wondered what that funny looking Lee thought of this American Blue Blood
|by Anonymous||reply 62||02/16/2019|
At least she never had to go On Assistance.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||02/16/2019|
Lee wasn't married to Michael Canfield for but a few years, but in those days, women had babies right away. I'm surprised Lee didn't try to get knocked up so she'd have a kid or two with British royal blood. And Canfield died in 1969 at 43 but it seems kept a pretty low profile. The whole thing seems somewhat mysterious.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||02/16/2019|
Born in 1980, I randomly became obsessed with the Donghia furniture company 15 years ago or so - around the time that I bought my second home and actually had the money to furnish it with some decent pieces. Granted, I can only afford "sample sale" prices on these relatively pricey casement pieces, chairs, sofas, Murano lamps, etc. Researching the famous designer who started his namesake company (and sadly passed due to AIDS-related illness) led me to Lee many times. She was actually considered one of the top tier decorators during the late 1970's and early 1980's. Her work wasn't half bad; she was certainly no Angelo Donghia or Michael Taylor - but she had a contemporary look for the time (and one that still holds up today). I honestly didn't know much else about her. I am sure that her publicity (being published in AD and other industry magazines) was partially due to her fame as a socialite, but she deserved recognition nonetheless.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||02/16/2019|
Been waiting all day to see what you cunts would say about her!
|by Anonymous||reply 66||02/16/2019|
She was staunch!
S T A U N C H!
|by Anonymous||reply 67||02/16/2019|
Lee was never considered a top tier decorator. She was hired because she was Jackie's sister. Lee could never be involved in all the tiny details and got bored. Just like her failed acting career, decorating career and whatever else she tried. She was barely adequate at her Armani job, which was basically wearing clothes. Plus she was a cunt. Good riddance Princess.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||02/16/2019|
So you bought your "second home" in your mid-20s? In your dreams, r65. But thanks for playing.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||02/16/2019|
So will the daughter or daughter in law attend the funeral to make usre she's dead. I wonder which one will dance on her grave afterward.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||02/16/2019|
Did her pussy stink?
|by Anonymous||reply 71||02/16/2019|
If Carole has left RHONY, how does she support herself? She can't have inherited much and her "journalism" career was bush league. And the royalities from her attempts at writing have to be long gone.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||02/16/2019|
Joe Kennedy Jr was not gay. He was well-known as a womanizer and borderline rapist who prudent young women steered clear of.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||02/16/2019|
Does Lee have any friends alive?
|by Anonymous||reply 74||02/16/2019|
Lots of "friends" but no friends.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||02/16/2019|
R69, I bought my "second home" after selling my first one you idiot; I did not own two homes. Pretty standard fare for many. Not to mention that my younger sister's friends were buying multiple homes back in the "declared income" era of the early 2000's and they made less than half what I did. It was not hard to do....not at all.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||02/16/2019|
^Methinks you doth protest too much. But nice try.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||02/16/2019|
Please let us know if Susan Dey posts her condolences.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||02/16/2019|
Almost certainly r71.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||02/16/2019|
So... is there any money left behind? And who gets it?
|by Anonymous||reply 80||02/16/2019|
The NYT Obit is mean spirited. Like Lee?
|by Anonymous||reply 81||02/16/2019|
Good. She was a useless cunt.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||02/16/2019|
What about Susan Dey???
|by Anonymous||reply 83||02/16/2019|
We're all hookers, really, aren't we?
|by Anonymous||reply 84||02/16/2019|
Bad hair decade.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||02/16/2019|
The NYT OBIT is nasssssty!
|by Anonymous||reply 86||02/16/2019|
The R-rated version of the "Steel Magnolias" premiere story.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||02/16/2019|
😲😢 Awe that's sad r25 why is that?
|by Anonymous||reply 88||02/16/2019|
Joe Jr, the one who’s plain went down in WWII was gay, I’m certain of it.
Oh Dear! only the plain die young, the plane soar forever
|by Anonymous||reply 89||02/16/2019|
Lee is basically what most DLers want to be. A woman, glamorous, world famous, wealthy, a socialite, and your pick of any man you want.
Oh yeah, and attractive/beautiful etc etc.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||02/16/2019|
R76 I knew what you meant.
|by Anonymous||reply 91||02/16/2019|
i liked Lee
|by Anonymous||reply 92||02/16/2019|
All's Radziwill that ends Radziwill.
|by Anonymous||reply 93||02/16/2019|
I liked Lee, too.
|by Anonymous||reply 94||02/16/2019|
[quote]Lee Radziwill, the free-spirited former princess who shared the qualities of wealth, social status and ambition with her older sister, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, but who struggled as an actor, decorator and writer to share her sister’s aura of success, died on Friday at her home in Manhattan.
|by Anonymous||reply 95||02/16/2019|
The NY Times obit:
|by Anonymous||reply 96||02/16/2019|
[quote]In a brief telephone interview for this obituary, Mrs. Radziwill scoffed at the notion that she had had an affair with Mr. Onassis, and insisted that she had “no regrets, none at all,” about her relationship with her sister, which was widely reported to have been strained after Mrs. Kennedy married Mr. Onassis.
Wait, what? I didn't realize that the New York Times has a habit of calling people to interview them for their obituaries.
|by Anonymous||reply 97||02/16/2019|
Yes, meow. R95. "Struggled...as a writer"? Perhaps. But I'd wager a guess that she authored three more books than the Page Six, er, NY Times obit writer.
|by Anonymous||reply 98||02/16/2019|
97 now you know.
|by Anonymous||reply 99||02/16/2019|
We never hear about Lee's daughter, (Princess) Anna Christina, "Tina" the way we occasionally heard about her brother (Prince) Anthony. We only hear about Lee's daughter-in-law, fame whore Real Housewife, Carole. Wikipedia has an Anthony Radziwill page but not a Tina page.
The cousins grew up together, Tina, Anthony, Caroline and John Kennedy. Anthony and John were best friends, and Anthony was John's best man at this wedding. I wonder if Tina and Caroline remained close as well especially now that they are the only two left?
|by Anonymous||reply 100||02/16/2019|
Lee liked to drink her own pee.
|by Anonymous||reply 101||02/16/2019|
Lee hated rhymes.
|by Anonymous||reply 102||02/17/2019|
Cecil Beaton on the Bouvier women: "[Jackie] is still the most photogenic person in the world, infinitely more so than her infinitely more beautiful sister."
|by Anonymous||reply 103||02/17/2019|
I wonder if Lee is burning in Hell?
|by Anonymous||reply 104||02/17/2019|
May I have her unused cartons of Benson & Hedges cigarettes?
|by Anonymous||reply 105||02/17/2019|
"Jackqueline" rhymes with "Queen"
"Lee" rhymes with "Twee"
|by Anonymous||reply 106||02/17/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 107||02/17/2019|
Most homosexuals also pork fish, Mary r73.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||02/17/2019|
I once spilled a small amount of Pepsi on her. I was mortified because I usually only drink Coca - Cola.
|by Anonymous||reply 109||02/17/2019|
I saw a short but appropriate description of her on a FB feed of ex-Armani people: "a very bitter woman with great taste"
|by Anonymous||reply 110||02/17/2019|
Someone get that woman a sandwich!
|by Anonymous||reply 111||02/17/2019|
Was lee really as much of a character as DL makes her out to be? Or is this just DL having fun? I'm curious.
Because if so, she sounds like she was a a real character to be around.
|by Anonymous||reply 112||02/17/2019|
She and Jackie had the worst teeth.
|by Anonymous||reply 113||02/17/2019|
So young . . .
|by Anonymous||reply 114||02/17/2019|
What iirks me is she declared herself a decorator and got lots of press for interiors she did - NONE of which looked anything above conventionally "classy".
|by Anonymous||reply 115||02/17/2019|
Always very kind to HRT.
|by Anonymous||reply 116||02/17/2019|
More of Lee's GROUNDBREAKING vision:
|by Anonymous||reply 117||02/17/2019|
The faces say it all -
|by Anonymous||reply 118||02/17/2019|
Who is going to pay her funeral costs?
|by Anonymous||reply 119||02/17/2019|
There might not get a funeral. Cremation and an ashtray for an urn.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||02/17/2019|
She brought an end to the Radziwell royal line: a dead son and a barren daughter.
|by Anonymous||reply 121||02/17/2019|
Lee Radziwill was always fascinating. Maybe other things too, but always fascinating.
|by Anonymous||reply 122||02/17/2019|
R121, hardly. The Prince had a son from his second marriage, with kids and grandkids now. Money-grubbing Lee didn't end any line. In fact, she was at the back of the line and thought she was at the front.
|by Anonymous||reply 123||02/17/2019|
The Real Lee Radziwill
|by Anonymous||reply 124||02/17/2019|
Talking About Lee
Sofia Coppola, Giambattista Valli and Peter Beard share their favorite moments with Lee Bouvier Radziwill.
|by Anonymous||reply 125||02/17/2019|
I wonder how million$ her NYC apartment will sell for? I also wonder if that's the apartment jackie brought for her. You know the one she did that interview in for Sophia coppala.
|by Anonymous||reply 126||02/17/2019|
Lee's apartment will sell for what it's worth. No one remembers the old hag and if they do they most likely aren't in a position to pay any premium. It's not like when Jackie died and people fought over her place.
|by Anonymous||reply 127||02/17/2019|
[quote]r122 Lee Radziwill was always fascinating
She was no Delilah-Judith
|by Anonymous||reply 128||02/17/2019|
Lee married after the prince. Then divorced. Again. She always kept the Prince's fancy name. This was deplorable pretentious cuntitude.
|by Anonymous||reply 129||02/17/2019|
Yes, I know she married again.
|by Anonymous||reply 130||02/17/2019|
What was the fall-out with Carole Radziwill about? I don't watch reality TV shows, so I know nothing about Carole R. But her Wiki page says that she took really good care of her husband, Lee's son, while he battled cancer. She can't be that bad.
|by Anonymous||reply 131||02/17/2019|
R131 Carole isn't bad at all, these old ass queens just don't like her because she did reality tv.
Plain and simple.
|by Anonymous||reply 132||02/17/2019|
Thanks, R132. That made me laugh.
|by Anonymous||reply 133||02/17/2019|
Lee had aspirations. Toward what, no one could ever really define.
She tried acting, decorating ... then fucking jet set Aristotle Onasis. Until her cunting sister swooped in and took her place.
|by Anonymous||reply 134||02/17/2019|
Wee just wanted t'be WUVVED! Wike us all....
|by Anonymous||reply 135||02/17/2019|
So who was more of the jet setter, Lee or Jackie? They both seem to be the jetset type. But it seems maybe Lee got around a bit more.
|by Anonymous||reply 136||02/17/2019|
Her only claim to fame was her sister.
Which of course she milked for all it was worth - -
|by Anonymous||reply 137||02/17/2019|
If by "jet setting," you mean "who spread her legs on more continents for more wealthy men," yes, that would be Lee, R136.
|by Anonymous||reply 138||02/17/2019|
“I never disliked Jackie, but I hate Lee. I hate her.”
|by Anonymous||reply 139||02/17/2019|
Every now and then I still search for a video of her TV movie version of Laura. It's the Holy Grail of shit acting.
|by Anonymous||reply 140||02/17/2019|
I'm sorry, but I don't even know who this old woman was.
Sounds like she was before my time.
|by Anonymous||reply 141||02/17/2019|
[quote]r140 Every now and then I still search for a video of her TV movie version of Laura. It's the Holy Grail of shit acting.
|by Anonymous||reply 142||02/17/2019|
Useless cunt. Anyone who mourns her loss should be waterboarded.
|by Anonymous||reply 143||02/17/2019|
You say that like it's a bad thing, R138.
|by Anonymous||reply 144||02/17/2019|
R143 And yet here you are. We'll make sure your the first in line.
|by Anonymous||reply 145||02/17/2019|
Ha ha, R145.
|by Anonymous||reply 146||02/17/2019|
America's Last Princess, Princess Carole DiFalco Radziwill (living with Lee's dumpster-rescued sofa) -
|by Anonymous||reply 147||02/17/2019|
^^ is that a man?
|by Anonymous||reply 148||02/17/2019|
She used up all her Le Bouvier money to buy the rights and all existing copies of Laura. She spent her last days trolling YouTube to make sure it was never posted.
|by Anonymous||reply 149||02/17/2019|
I still love Carole. She and Bethany should really make up..TV got in their way.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||02/17/2019|
[quote]r149 She used up all her Le Bouvier money to buy the rights and all existing copies of Laura. She spent her last days trolling YouTube to make sure it was never posted.
What a self absorbed twat.
(Radziwill, not r149)
|by Anonymous||reply 151||02/17/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 152||02/17/2019|
Yes I would love to see a copy of Laura! I heard the Paley Center in LA has a copy...
|by Anonymous||reply 153||02/17/2019|
I wanna kick this human bodybag right in the cuntbone.
Looks like her decorating tips were, "Scatter fresh flowers in profusion, along with little framed magazine covers of yourself."
|by Anonymous||reply 154||02/17/2019|
It's OK to write about women without calling them cunts and twats, R154.
|by Anonymous||reply 155||02/17/2019|
I remember the Princess decorated a condo across from my parents in Century City. As a gayling, I made my parents take me to the opening. Everyone was laughing at the impracticality. She had orange trees in the living room.
|by Anonymous||reply 156||02/17/2019|
I look really beautiful, there, R147.
Still so young, but I'm growing into my innate sophistication.
|by Anonymous||reply 157||02/17/2019|
[quote] Mrs. Radziwill in her dining room in March 1976, the same year she started her own interior design firm.
Here's another view of her dining room. Even accounting for the times (1976), I don't think it holds up well at all.
|by Anonymous||reply 158||02/17/2019|
Forgot to say that the photo and quote are from the NYT obituary.
|by Anonymous||reply 159||02/17/2019|
[quote] After Mrs. Onassis died in 1994, her will made no material provision for her sister, “for whom I have great affection,” Mrs. Onassis wrote, “because I have already done so in my lifetime.” It left bequests to each of her sister’s children. The disinheritance of Mrs. Radziwill was widely interpreted as another sign of strain between the sisters, whose relationship had captivated the press and public throughout their lives.
That's from the NYT obit.

R158 That room is a frau's vision of heaven come to life.
|by Anonymous||reply 161||02/17/2019|
"For reasons that are well known to her...."
|by Anonymous||reply 162||02/17/2019|
I think that's the apartment she bought after running into financial trouble moving and selling off some great pieces of furniture. This was an attempt to create a garden in the city if I remember, she even added flower boxes to the windows.

I’m 90% sure that’s not actually her dining room R158. I agree that it’s tacky and doesn’t hold up well. I saw that caption in the NYT and I think they got it wrong. I think that is one of the rooms she decorated for that chain of hotels she designed for.
I’ve shared the link earlier, but here’s a really good blog post that shows the interiors of some of her different homes.

It's inexcusible that Jackie left her sister nothing in her will, when she was worth soooooooooo much.
Would it really have hurt so much to be even nominally gracious?
I guess being a total cunt was important to her.

I wonder if lee and patricia altschul knew each other. They both basically play the same game. Marrying well and divorcing well.
When you look at patricia, and that grand mansion she lives in on southern charm. I can't help but think, she must've walked away with a shit tone of $$$ when her third husband died. And than he was a billionaire.

I thought Mrs. Radziwill was a very talented interior designer. I loved many of the projects I’ve seen of hers.
That is her dining room in her NYC apartment. I love it and think it stands up quite well. It’s not for everybody but it is for Lee and Jackie’s type of circle.

Another room by Lee Radziwill:
There's nothing WRONG with it, but there's also nothing truly original or even very memorable about it, either.
Rather like the woman herself. Pretty ... and NEXT!

That hotel chain must have been one of her few decorating clients. Even when Architectural Digest listed her as one of their top 20 decorators ("Decorating for Celebrities", 1980), half of the pics were of her hotel rooms. She was part of an elite group which included Micheal Taylor, Angelo Donghia, Sister Parish, Sally Sirkin Lewis and Mario Buatta. I am not sure that I agree, but many of her rooms were just fine in my book; I have seen far worse. The dining room that R158 shared is particularly bad, but not really indicative of her usual "style". She seemed to prefer simple rugs, parson-style furniture and large, graphic art (a few of these things were somewhat contemporary for the day I think). As for her own homes, that same set of botanical prints seemed to follow her everywhere!

I like those society dames. Lee Radziwill had a good life, but also some tragedy such as the untimely young death of her son. She called JFK "Jack." They were close. She had a fine relationship with her sister even if there were some challenges along the way as there are with most sisters. They vacationed together with their kids in the 70s. Lee married Polish nobility. While the title may not have meant much, her husband was not going to give up his title because in his European circles, those titles mean something. So by default, Lee became a princess. We can put it down, but if her husband has a title, she gets one too through marriage. She went back to using the name Radziwill, but not her title, because that was kids last name. Many women keep the name that their children have. Lee Radziwill be was elegant, classy and chic. She was also surprisingly down to earth. They don't make them her anymore. Now we have no-name celebrities and useless reality television personalities. I happen to like people like Lee Radziwill, Babe Paley, CZ Guest, etc. They add a bit of glamour, class and pizzazz that is missing nowadays. They're interesting and led interesting and fascinating lives.

My other Kennedy "connection" is that I worked with JFK Jr. when he interned at the Justice Department one summer. Of course, I noticed what he ate at the cafeteria--pineapple chunks, that's it. He had very big feet and the smallest waist I've ever noticed in a man.

I imagine it was because as First Lady, JK wanted someone as a companion overseas who was of her class, and wouldn't blab.
It's not like Jackie craved time alone with her sister, it's that the arrangement was convenient ... and put her sister both in her place, and in her debt.
|by Anonymous||reply 216||02/18/2019|
I imagine it must have been hard as hell for someone with a personality like Lee had to play second fiddle to Jackie. She played the first sister role while Jack was in office anyway. So there was that. At least Lee's French was much better than Jackie's though. She'll always have that.

r217 shows JK in the suit she was later wearing when the assassination happened.
It's often credited as Chanel, but it was technically by a company that was licensed to reproduce Chanel garments in the U.S.
[quote]According to Justine Picardie's authorized biography of Coco Chanel, Chanel, Her Life, Jackie Kennedy was a Chanel client starting in the 1950s. But after she was slammed in the press for a reported $30,000 Paris spending spree during her husband's Presidential campaign, Mrs. Kennedy couldn't afford to buy Chanel from Chanel and risk more bad press, especially not as First Lady. Too foreign, too spendy. (After the story broke, first in WWD and then picked up by the AP, that the future first lady went on a wild spending spree, Pat Nixon told the Times, "I buy my clothes off the rack and I look for bargains like all other American women.") So, to avoid another gaffe, Picardie says that Mrs. Kennedy "was able to acquire Chanel outfits sewn for her in New York by a dressmaking establishment called Chez Ninon. The garments were not fake or pirated, but made to order using materials supplied by Chanel in Paris."
[quote]"Thus it was," Picardie concludes, "that she came to be wearing a vivid pink Chanel suit (complete with fabric, trim and buttons from 31 Rue Cambon, but fitted at Chez Ninon) on 22nd November 1963, accompanying her husband to Dallas."

Her first interior, within her Fifth Avenue penthouse in 1964, was her best. But using black, white and red is a pretty fail-safe recipe.

I met her a few times- and I got to know Mrs O a bit. My Mom knew Mrs O and liked her a lot. My impression of Lee was that she was not as bright as Mrs O (who was smart and very very nice- funny actually.) I think Lee had some prescription drug problems at different times in her life and she was most definitely not a pal of the Nan/Pat/Annette crowd in NYC high profile socialite world. I really got the impression they did not like her- She was not very nice. She was one of the few "famous" types absolutely forbidden by staff at Andre Oliver (who did tell me Lee had some substance abuse issues) to open a house account. Mrs O had one- paid on time every month. Lee was like the Kennedy sisters- kind of entitled and never paid a bill. I also have never forgotten her "just a couple of fags" comment about Capote and Vidal. Very very few women of her background would ever say anything like that.

I’m assuming there will be no official cause of death, which strongly causes me to believe she died in an “unsavory” manner, I.e. falling off a toilet and striking her head, as someone upthread or in the other thread theorized.
This also explains why there wasn’t any official news about her death until the next day. They probably had to come up with a game plan, get the body presentable, and clean up any mess caused by the accident.

From the photos that I have seen - she seemed to be a pretty woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 295||02/18/2019|
All things considered, Lee did Radziwill.
|by Anonymous||reply 296||02/18/2019|
R296, I see what you did there.

Lee and Me: Carole Radziwill pens loving essay about her friendship with mother-in-law Lee Radziwill and shares intimate family photos as she mourns Jackie Kennedy's sister's death at 85
|by Anonymous||reply 298||02/19/2019|
Jackie O could have 'set sister Lee Radziwill up for life' but instead 'cut her out of her will after years of fighting over men and their mother's affections'
|by Anonymous||reply 299||02/19/2019|
Carole Radziwill's article is dull and inelegant.
By the way Lee was never a princess because Radziwill was not a prince when they married. I always considered her pretense to essentially define her.
|by Anonymous||reply 300||02/19/2019|
Carole has a vintage sofa in her apartment that once belonged to Lee.
|by Anonymous||reply 301||02/19/2019|
I don't understand why Jackie was supposed to leave Lee money.
Their mother who was the widow of a Standard Oil heir died only a few years before Jackie.
At that point Jackie and Lee should have inherited a sizable amount of money.
|by Anonymous||reply 302||02/19/2019|
Wasn't the Prince rumored to like the dick?
|by Anonymous||reply 303||02/19/2019|
R302, Lee always lived beyond her means. She would sell paintings, furniture and even clothing when she was in financial need. The prince died in serious debt, leaving nothing behind for his two children with Lee.
|by Anonymous||reply 304||02/19/2019|
He was a commoner, former prince. He didn't even style himself a prince. She re-branded him with a title he gave up. Technicality but not an unimportant one.
|by Anonymous||reply 305||02/19/2019|
But it was an impressive title. Among the gotha. Major history and MAJOR digs across Central Europe. The fact this guy died without money and apparently had comparably little wealth and valuable possessions when he was young and they married, is sad story.
|by Anonymous||reply 306||02/19/2019|
What a fascinating life Lee lived. Jackie too. And their mother Janet as well.
I'd love to see a really well done documentary on the three women. Kinda like what CNN did with the Kennedy's.
|by Anonymous||reply 307||02/19/2019|
I think only the over 50 or over 60 crowd has any reference at all to be fascinated by Early to Mid-Century American social climbing. Jackie Bouvier was born in 1929.
|by Anonymous||reply 308||02/19/2019|
1929 also produced Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Barbara Walters and Anne Frank.
|by Anonymous||reply 309||02/19/2019|
There is a good documentary on Netflix.
We can thank Lee for one thing, the Beales. She flaked out as usual, but thankfully the film makers continued with the project.
|by Anonymous||reply 310||02/19/2019|
Well, R310? The title?

When is Lee's funeral?
|by Anonymous||reply 318||02/20/2019|
Funeral on Monday
|by Anonymous||reply 319||02/20/2019|
I'll bet the daughter goes the Jackie route and has an auction of Lee's stuff. Between Eurotrash and the Kardashians, they will be fighting over her crap.
|by Anonymous||reply 320||02/20/2019|
R319, Will half-brother Jamie Auchincloss be there or is he still doing prison time for child porn?

|by Anonymous||reply 323||02/20/2019|
I always thought she would have been upset by Carole Radziwill (daughter-in-law) taking part in the "Real Housewives." I checked Carole's Twitter and was surprised to see her posting stuff about what she has for sale on Poshmark (shoes, etc.).
|by Anonymous||reply 324||02/20/2019|
Well Carole learned from the best. Lee (and Jackie) sold clothes most of their lives.
|by Anonymous||reply 325||02/20/2019|
R313 lumpen frau! Using it 🐻
|by Anonymous||reply 326||02/20/2019|
R323 well, Karen Something Something Something Walker to you!
|by Anonymous||reply 327||02/20/2019|
R323. It's...Caroline Lee Bouvier Canfield Radziwill Ross Radziwill.
She went back to using Radziwill as her last name, the same last name as her children. She also couldn't stand being married to Herbert Ross.
|by Anonymous||reply 328||02/20/2019|
Astonished to see some of the items on Poshmark, sold, that I had flipped in a bundle last Spring. The DL just brings it! I clean up and add to these finds. Repair a beaded bag making it better. Add fur trim to cuffs, boots & shoes. Have my own lines as well.
Sitting here procrastinating. Filling orders to be shipped in about 6 hours. Seeing my work hasn't motivated me. Damp. Cold. Alone. Ugh.
|by Anonymous||reply 329||02/20/2019|
Jackie flipped off the rack vêtements and costume bijoux to consignment shops. She would have been a Posher. No doubt.

|by Anonymous||reply 334||02/21/2019|
R334, I never did understand that unusual marriage.
|by Anonymous||reply 335||02/21/2019|
R334, she never used the Schlossberg surname.
|by Anonymous||reply 336||02/21/2019|
Carolines family is famous and iconic. Of course she's sticking with "Kennedy."
It's just like the "Kardashians" they've turned it into a bankable celebrity brand name in pop culture.
You always stick with the $$$ if you have any scence.
|by Anonymous||reply 337||02/21/2019|
R328, she liked Herb Ross enough to marry him. Once she had sold everything he had and milked him for every cent, it was time for her to move on.
|by Anonymous||reply 338||02/21/2019|
R334, Bullshit. She used Schlossberg for years, even on her personal stationery. She only stopped using it fairly recently.
|by Anonymous||reply 339||02/21/2019|
Well since Caroline Kennedy was brought up......Her brief sort of campaign for senate was hysterical. She went on a listening tour upstate. There was footage of her actually running away from people because she was so nervous. She was wearing one of the frau bed quilt coats as it was the middle of winter. It wasn't long after that "listening" tour that she withdrew. It was too bad in the long run. She would have been better than the shrew who got the job.
|by Anonymous||reply 340||02/21/2019|
R339, bull crap, she may have used it personally but she’s been Caroline Kennedy publicly. And what does that button prove btw? It’s not an official button, just something someone made that they though would make a buck. If you go to the site, you’ll see a “Caroline Kennedy for Senate” t-shirt for sale (no Schlossberg).
|by Anonymous||reply 341||02/21/2019|
It's for me. Do you mind darling?
|by Anonymous||reply 342||02/21/2019|
Lee seemed to have tried many things in her life. Did she ever try her hand at politics?
|by Anonymous||reply 343||02/21/2019|
No. Too lazy.

|by Anonymous||reply 347||02/21/2019|
No, Rose, it will be on Pay Per View.
|by Anonymous||reply 348||02/21/2019|
Why would they televise her funeral? She never accomplished a thing.
|by Anonymous||reply 349||02/21/2019|

You. Are. Wrong. Wrong Wrong Wrong.
|by Anonymous||reply 350||02/21/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 351||02/21/2019|
For anyone fortunate enough to attend Lee's funeral Mass on Monday, this would be proper mourning attire.
|by Anonymous||reply 352||02/21/2019|
R350, YOU are wrong. She has always referred to herself as Caroline Kennedy. Many media outlets chose to call her Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg but she always referred to herself as Caroline Kennedy.
|by Anonymous||reply 353||02/21/2019|
Never on here R333! You've gotta be aware of our obsessive systemic trolls who stalk posters here who intimidate and anger them. Chasing posters around from thread to thread, site to site across the internet. They rarely leave their homes or tend to life norms. What do you think they're doing morning, noon and night? They (sub) exist.

Is this the worst thing worn by a woman? Ever? Anywhere?
|by Anonymous||reply 355||02/21/2019|
lol, r355. And that's just what I did when I saw that. No knock on the designer Rei ( her last name escapes me), but still, wearable art shouldn't be worn.
|by Anonymous||reply 356||02/21/2019|
It's real? I thought it was a funny photoshop?
|by Anonymous||reply 357||02/21/2019|
Rei Kawakubo? That must have been the 80s.
|by Anonymous||reply 358||02/21/2019|
That's the name, r358.
r357. "E" Channel had a Met Gala Red Carpet show. She actually wore that. I was flabbergasted. CK was Ambassador to Japan, so, I guess she got away with it.
|by Anonymous||reply 359||02/21/2019|
A certain woman could wear that dress R355 . But it’s not her. Someone with natural elegance - and better posture in it.
|by Anonymous||reply 360||02/21/2019|
R360 agree. She brings attention to her lack of assets. Donning such a frock is entering into a competition with said garment. Dress wins here.
|by Anonymous||reply 361||02/21/2019|

1) Capote was right when he said Jackie and Lee were modern day geishas.
2) Many rich/famous women sell their old clothes. Or, "consign" to use a prettier word.
3) Lee was a Grade A cunt but I'm giving her complete slack for what she wore to her son's funeral...it was August and she was coping with the loss of her son (who had been dying for quite some time) as well as the sudden tragic death of her nephew a few weeks earlier. If you're grieving who gives a fuck what other people think about what you're wearing. Also, that "black housecoat" probably was a $2k black housecoat.

Why is Lee's daughter, Tina, rarely mentioned?
|by Anonymous||reply 380||02/26/2019|
R380, because she doesn’t lead a life like the Kardashians? Or her sister-in-law Carole? She was at the funeral, there are videos of her walking in the church.
|by Anonymous||reply 381||02/26/2019|
If wicker is good enough for the Duchess of Devonshire and Princess Radziwill, it’s good enough for me.
|by Anonymous||reply 382||02/26/2019|
How were she and Jackie able to pull the wool over peoples eyes to make everyone think that they were beautiful and desirable when they weren’t? The odd bone structure and short faces...man sized heads, hands and feet...nasty bodies...what whyhow?
|by Anonymous||reply 383||02/26/2019|
And those teeth...although, Lee had nicer teeth than Jackie did.
|by Anonymous||reply 384||02/26/2019|

She did a little bit of a reprieve with the wicker.

Some women like Jackie just have "it", even if they aren't classic beauties.
|by Anonymous||reply 386||02/26/2019|
When I saw a news report about the funeral, I thought it said wicker basket and thought, "Well, that would be a nice place to store your ashes instead of some ugly urn."
|by Anonymous||reply 387||02/26/2019|
If you met LR and JO (pun intended) you would right away see the difference. One practically glowed with charm and kindness, the other very much the opposite although I suppose she could turn it on if she wanted to. One was kiss up, kick down, the other treated everyone well and looked them right in the eye when she spoke to them. I leave it to you to decide which was which. Mrs O was a lovely woman, funny, smart, witty, kind, and without pretense if you can believe it. Her sister had none of this on a casual meeting- perhaps as I said, she could 'bring it" when necessary (kiss up). I think the apt comparison is Queen E and her sister Margaret. One had life thrust on her and accepted it with grace (and was no dummy) and the other used the associated fame somewhat selfishly, often complaining and taking advantage of the fame and position.

-- Lee Radziwill leaves her $50 million estate to her daughter - but niece Caroline Kennedy and her widowed RHONY daughter-in-law Carole Radziwill were left out of her will entirely
-Lee Bouvier Radziwill's Last Will and Testament shows that her lone surviving child, Anna Christina 'Tina' Radziwill, will inherit her estimated $50million estate
- The 16-page will, exclusively obtained by DailyMailTV, shows the socialite her widowed daughter-in-law Carole Radziwill won't receive a dime
- Neither will Lee's niece Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, the daughter of her older sister First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
- When Jackie passed in 1994, her will generously instructed that each of Lee's children were left $500,000
- Lee was known to be strapped for cash due to her extravagant lifestyle, but the will shows that a trust was set up for her decades ago by her mother

|by Anonymous||reply 408||03/28/2019|
Thanks, R407, been waiting for that to surface.
|by Anonymous||reply 409||03/28/2019|
$50 million? Right. But she never had money.
|by Anonymous||reply 410||03/28/2019|
Tina's living the dream!
|by Anonymous||reply 411||03/28/2019|
Did Lee have total access to the trust established by Janet or were there restrictions?
|by Anonymous||reply 412||03/28/2019|
There must have been restrictions, because Lee spent money like water. Even Janet died relatively poor.
|by Anonymous||reply 413||03/28/2019|
Not even a lousy million to her spinster daughter-in-law Carole?
|by Anonymous||reply 414||03/28/2019|
So does this mean there will be a huge auction of her stuff?
|by Anonymous||reply 415||03/28/2019|
Yes, to even make $5 million. That daughter is ugly AF.
|by Anonymous||reply 416||03/28/2019|
Will her diaries be sold and published?
The "Princess" Diaries???
|by Anonymous||reply 417||03/28/2019|
Lee had no where near $50,000,000. The trust set up by her Mother was originally to benefit both of her daughters and Jackie signed over her share to Lee. The Paris apartment was leased and put up for sale by the owner. Her apartment at 160 East 72nd St was originally the ground floor of a triplex which was recently sold and most likely will be bought by the upstairs neighbor and rejoined.
|by Anonymous||reply 418||03/28/2019|
Exactly. Janet was living in the former servant's quarters at the time of her death.
Jackie was the only one with money.
|by Anonymous||reply 419||03/28/2019|

|by Anonymous||reply 421||03/28/2019|
I find it humorous that The Daily Mail and the queens of Data Lounge think they know what Lee Radziwill was or wasn't worth! You've no way of knowing what an individual is worth no matter how famous they are or how many books you've read about them. If you remember correctly, Jackie's true worth was a lot less than her assumed worth, and on the other hand, I was surprised to learn how much Joan Rivers was actually worth. Why should Lee leave money to Carole or Caroline Kennedy? Kennedy hardly needs more money and Carole divulges family secrets to all and sundry on cheap television. Poor Tina, the ugly daughter of a celebrated beauty. Ugly girls of beautiful mothers suffer a lot, but she could have at least had her roots done for the funeral. I imagine mother and daughters' relationship was strained. I can see Lee picking at Tina for being overweight and frumpy. Does anyone else find the law regarding making wills public a gross intrusion of privacy? So Jackie signed her part of their mothers trust over to Lee, now we know what Jackie meant in her own will when she said she had already helped Lee. Why all the pallbearers? A wicket casket with Lee Radziwill in it would have weighed nothing.
|by Anonymous||reply 422||03/28/2019|
Please let this thread die a natural death.
Lee Radziwill was not an interesting person. She deserves no more attention.
|by Anonymous||reply 423||03/28/2019|

|by Anonymous||reply 424||03/28/2019|

|by Anonymous||reply 425||03/28/2019|
R422, when someone continually downsizes and sells off valuable possessions at less than market value odds are probably good they need money.
|by Anonymous||reply 426||03/28/2019|
What is the New York estate tax rate?
The top New York estate tax rate is16%. The top rate only applies when the New York taxable estate is over $10,100,000 million. Dollars below that amount are subject to tax at graduated rates, starting at 3.06% for the first $500,000.
|by Anonymous||reply 427||03/28/2019|
r426 proof? Were you there? Did you buy her possessions from her? Have you seen the bill of sale? Or did you read it in a book?
|by Anonymous||reply 428||03/28/2019|
R428, unless you're in her will, why do you care?
|by Anonymous||reply 429||03/28/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 430||03/29/2019|
Well, this gives the lie to Carole Radziwill's stories of Lee's devotion to her. I'm sure Carole had expectations. And I'm sure Caroline didn't; she has plenty.
I'm sure Janet's trust wasn't remotely enough for Lee to live on--no amount would have been--and that's why she kept selling off possessions. The corpus of the trust is no doubt added to Lee's other realized assets and accounts for the $50 million figure.
|by Anonymous||reply 431||03/29/2019|
Would Lee have approved of a wicker casket?
|by Anonymous||reply 432||03/29/2019|
Sure. She was cremated. Even Lee wouldn't want $8 grand burning up in a crematorium.
|by Anonymous||reply 433||03/29/2019|
The daughter had to go cheap.
|by Anonymous||reply 434||03/29/2019|

|by Anonymous||reply 435||03/29/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 436||03/29/2019|
That article just takes the $50 million figure from Celebrity New Worth. I've never seen a will that specifies funeral arrangements be paid as soon as possible. Maybe Princess was afraid the daughter would blow through $50 million before paying?
|by Anonymous||reply 437||03/29/2019|
I'm still sad that Lee is gone.

|by Anonymous||reply 440||03/29/2019|
I don't recall. But I read it recently, possibly in one of the reports on her will, and I remember thinking that in that case the wicker casket made sense.
|by Anonymous||reply 441||03/29/2019|
Lee's son Anthony was cremated and the ashes were given to his widow Carole.
|by Anonymous||reply 442||03/29/2019|
That casket looks like it was bought at Pier One.
|by Anonymous||reply 443||03/29/2019|
reply 432 you can safely bet a perfectionist like Lee chose the wicker casket.
|by Anonymous||reply 444||03/30/2019|
always intrigues me what famous clothes horses like Lee wear in their caskets. I suppose only a few know the answer and it's vulgar to ask
|by Anonymous||reply 445||03/30/2019|
If Lee had been careful, she would have ended up rich. She sold a Francis Bacon for like $200,000 just before it's value soared into the millions. She also sold her duplex at 969 Fifth Ave for a few hundred thousand which is now worth at least $20,000,000 and she sold an ocean front house in Southampton to Norman Lear's ex wife Francis for under a million which is now worth at least $30,000,000. But she needed the money to piss away on her lifestyle.
|by Anonymous||reply 446||03/30/2019|
She looks like Rachel Dratch's less attractive sister
|by Anonymous||reply 447||03/30/2019|
She may be many things, but poor is not one of them.
|by Anonymous||reply 448||03/30/2019|
Lee was so fashionably thin when she died
They just burned her with a pack of her Benson and Hedges in the bathtub
|by Anonymous||reply 449||03/30/2019|
R445, She would have been stripped of all jewelry and metal before the oven.
|by Anonymous||reply 450||03/30/2019|
Tina will probably be fine with whatever she ends up with from The Princess. She clearly has no interest in clothes, personal grooming or living well.
|by Anonymous||reply 451||03/30/2019|
carole from housewives of ny married the son? does she ever mention it?
|by Anonymous||reply 452||03/30/2019|
I imagine Tina was the type of person Lee would have never given the time of day to had she not been her daughter.
|by Anonymous||reply 453||03/31/2019|
lee lasted a long time, how come her sis got cancer, and she dint?
|by Anonymous||reply 454||03/31/2019|
When Tina was born, there were serious health problems that forced her to remain hospitalized for over a month in a NYC hospital. Lee was not well after the birth and also became anxious and depressed about Tina. Her husband decided to take Lee home to London to get well, leaving Tina in the NYC hospital. Eventually, Tina became well enough to be flown home to be reunited with her mother.

OMG, that's the funniest thing I've read in ages!
Carole not only dines out on it - she lives on it

Clearly, when Lee left her baby in NYC and flew to London, this was the time when someone substituted Rachel Dratch's ugly sister for the Radziwill baby
|by Anonymous||reply 457||03/31/2019|
Carole Radziwill had only a few topics of conversation: she was married to Anthony Radziwill; She was BFFs with JFK Jr. and Carolyn; they all died and she and Lee comforted each other, formed a strong bond, and remained close. I'm not sure what she'll be talking about now that the strong bond has been revealed to be.....not so strong.
|by Anonymous||reply 458||03/31/2019|
You never know what someone’s net worth is. I bet Lee didn’t have a pot to piss in.
When my MIL died suddenly, she was in heavy debt. She lived quite lavishly and everyone assumed she was a very wealthy woman - including her own children. The only thing she had was a double-mortgaged property which will only ever increase in value, so we are bailing it out and keeping it.
When my “poor” mother died, she left a paid-off house, car and a few bank accounts full of cash. Not to mention the enormous stash of cash stashed around the house. She lived extremely frugally and we inherited her considerable legacy.
You never know.
|by Anonymous||reply 459||03/31/2019|
Lee did have a few pits to piss in. She didn't sell everything.
|by Anonymous||reply 460||03/31/2019|
Caroline's daughter, Tatiana Schlossberg, is quite tall. But unfortunately, she inherited none of the Bouvier prettiness from Jackie or Lee, just the horsiness of her mother (and other Kennedy women).
Those beady eyes must be from the Schlossberg side.
Poor thing looks a little bit.... trans.
|by Anonymous||reply 461||03/31/2019|
I think she's quite attractive.
|by Anonymous||reply 462||03/31/2019|
[quote]r382 If wicker is good enough for the Duchess of Devonshire and Princess Radziwill, it’s good enough for me.
I used to have a client who owned some business called Wicker World, or something.
I and a coworker used to call her the Wicker Woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 463||03/31/2019|
In a few months Jackie, Lee, and JFK can play Jeopardy with Alex Trebek.
|by Anonymous||reply 464||03/31/2019|
R461, Daughter Rose Schlossberg is the class act who flipped the bird to the cameras during Teddy's funeral procession.
|by Anonymous||reply 465||03/31/2019|
I had hopes for Rose. When she wasn't much more than a kid she looked like she would be a class act. Now she looks like she doesn't even bother to wash her pussy. Maybe she'll grow out of it.
|by Anonymous||reply 466||03/31/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 467||03/31/2019|
I really don't give AF what woman does or doesn't wash her pussy. She has 250 million reasons either way.
|by Anonymous||reply 468||03/31/2019|
Lee was, indeed, cremated.
|by Anonymous||reply 469||04/01/2019|
Lee always put on a brave front - but she had outlived so many of her friends and family.
In the words of the immortal Tiffany Haddish, "She ready."
|by Anonymous||reply 470||04/01/2019|
Is there any reason to be so nasty about Tina's appearance? She seems to have led a pretty private life and I can't imagine being Lee's daughter was any fucking picnic.
|by Anonymous||reply 471||04/01/2019|
Tina had it easy.
|by Anonymous||reply 472||04/01/2019|
When she was a teenager, Jackie would constantly berate Caroline about her weight. At one point, she forbid Caroline from drinking soda.
|by Anonymous||reply 473||04/01/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 474||04/01/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 475||04/01/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 476||04/01/2019|
Fun Fact: One of Jackie's legs was 1/4" shorter than the other, so she would have one heel enhanced on each new pair of shoes to compensate.
|by Anonymous||reply 477||04/01/2019|
So Lee is what Princess Ann would have been, if Lilibet had fcut off that serpent form the royal purse strings.
|by Anonymous||reply 478||04/01/2019|
Pass. She was only ever "British hot"
|by Anonymous||reply 479||04/01/2019|
Tatiana Schlossberg.... ah well, she's her mother's daughter, after all.
|by Anonymous||reply 480||04/02/2019|
Here's her (somewhat better) engagement photo. As I said earlier, she's ALL Kennedy female and has none of the Bouvier charm.
It's a pity I never had a daughter. Oh, wait...
|by Anonymous||reply 481||04/02/2019|
[Lee was so fashionably thin when she died]
|by Anonymous||reply 482||04/02/2019|
Tatiana looks like a supermodel compared to the Princess' daughter, who could be her father in drag.
|by Anonymous||reply 483||04/02/2019|
[quote] Fun Fact: One of Jackie's legs was 1/4" shorter than the other, so she would have one heel enhanced on each new pair of shoes to compensate.
Was that from speading her legs so much?

reply 457...I wonder who the real Radziwill baby is?
|by Anonymous||reply 486||04/03/2019|
Tatiana looks exactly like her mother in that engagement photo. There are worse things. Rose is a real beauty.
|by Anonymous||reply 487||04/03/2019|
It’s so heartbreaking that Jacqueline Kennedy did not have the same lifespan as her sister.
|by Anonymous||reply 488||04/03/2019|
r488 jackie would have needed to have had a little work done.
|by Anonymous||reply 489||04/03/2019|
500 posts in, and it finally dawns on me that OP misspelled Radziwill.
|by Anonymous||reply 490||04/03/2019|
Jackie had work done.
|by Anonymous||reply 491||04/03/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 492||04/03/2019|
Yes, she had a good and subtle facelift.
|by Anonymous||reply 493||04/03/2019|
r491 is an insider. Right, r491?
|by Anonymous||reply 494||04/03/2019|
R494, this is not breaking news.
|by Anonymous||reply 495||04/03/2019|
Not in New York, no. But in her early 50s, she had the bare minimum done. Freshened up, as they say.
|by Anonymous||reply 496||04/03/2019|
Jackie had a face lift in 1989, the year she turned 60.
|by Anonymous||reply 497||04/03/2019|
It isn't any kind of news, r495. It's rank speculation.
|by Anonymous||reply 498||04/03/2019|
Nope, about 10 years earlier. It's not speculation.
|by Anonymous||reply 499||04/03/2019|
r470 was Lee a Dame of Malta?
|by Anonymous||reply 500||04/03/2019|
JFK, Jr. always denied that his mother had undergone a face lift and it highly irritated him that people thought she had.
|by Anonymous||reply 501||04/03/2019|
[quote] JFK, Jr. always denied that his mother had undergone a face lift and it highly irritated him that people thought she had.
Bitch let's be real here. Caroline is around the same age as her mother was when she died. Caroline to my knowledge does not smoke five packs of cigarettes a day. Compare their faces and tell me that Jackie didn't get a face lift. Jr. can blow me.
|by Anonymous||reply 502||04/03/2019|
Both sisters were fug. How were they able to fool people into thinking that they were world class beauties?
|by Anonymous||reply 503||04/03/2019|
Rose Kennedy Schlossberg is quite pretty but petite. Tatiana looks like her father.
|by Anonymous||reply 504||04/03/2019|
Rose is the best looking of Caroline Kennedy's children.
|by Anonymous||reply 505||04/03/2019|
That is true r505.
|by Anonymous||reply 506||04/03/2019|
Clearly a big dick on her son Jack
|by Anonymous||reply 507||04/03/2019|
Is there a dick pic?

[quote][Lee was so fashionably thin when she died]
You think Lee was thin before...you should see her now - she is so thin, she is heroin chic
|by Anonymous||reply 509||04/03/2019|
Lee was cremated? They found some fire that wasn't afraid of her?
|by Anonymous||reply 510||04/03/2019|
I bet Tina got a discount. How much could it cost to burn 80 pounds?
|by Anonymous||reply 511||04/03/2019|
Jackie was jowly late 1970's early 1980's. Apparently she had two facelifts, the latter around her 60th birthday and you can clearly see her top eyelids had been done. Lee obviously had her face lifted and eyes done too, at least. I'm sure Jackie would have dabbled in a bit of filler and botox, had she lived, but not to the extreme. I don't think Jackie was adverse to people seeing her with wrinkles, but she would still probably want to look good, unlike Caroline who doesn't care because she;s too academic to care of such fickle things.
|by Anonymous||reply 512||04/04/2019|
Caroline is too ugly to bother. She's known from an early age it would just be a waste of her time. I find her claims of intelligence to be a bit overrated. Every time I've heard her speak she's sound pretty thick.
|by Anonymous||reply 513||04/04/2019|
I love the way you speak of Caroline as if she's actually told you what she knew from an early age.
|by Anonymous||reply 514||04/04/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 515||04/04/2019|
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the sad old queen who operates the Lee Radziwill twitter account, I imagine he is a dlounger. There were a lot of naïve people, some famous and celebrated, who believed it was actually Lee using twitter (as if). The surprise these silly fools must have gotten when Lee died and they realised it wasn't her! In any case, the catty remarks attributed to Lee are still posted daily from heaven. Sad.
|by Anonymous||reply 516||04/04/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 517||04/04/2019|
Caroline will eventually morph into Aunt Eunice.
|by Anonymous||reply 518||04/04/2019|
Aunt Eunice was a remarkable woman...
|by Anonymous||reply 519||04/04/2019|
|by Anonymous||reply 520||04/05/2019|
Some of the Tweets at R520 are actually pretty funny. But "she" spends too much time discussing the Real Housewives and other really pedestrian crap.
|by Anonymous||reply 521||04/06/2019|
Whatever you say, you can't say the dame didn't have style.
|by Anonymous||reply 522||04/06/2019|
Lee's still dead.
Let's keep talking.
|by Anonymous||reply 523||04/14/2019|
Her, Jack, JFK jr, and Jackie are now playing hearts in heaven.
|by Anonymous||reply 524||04/14/2019|
Doris Duke ended up with about 250 million when her mother croaked in 1962. She had already inherited 100 million as a child. Barbara Hutton took control of her 100 million at 21 in 1933 - almost 2 billion in today's dollars.

Hugh D. Auchincloss was a successful broker in his own right and a Standard Oil heir. I wonder how much Auchincloss loot Janet managed to get. I wonder how much Lee spent down, because Lee never made any money and didn't marry money. Maybe Herb Ross had some money but not big old money. The other two - good names but broke. Lee was lucky Jackie learned well from Janet and married HUGE money - both times!
|by Anonymous||reply 526||Last Monday at 5:19 AM|
R526, Hugh did not leave Janet very much at all. She was forced to sell off Hammersmith Farm, piece by piece, ultimately living in what was once the servants' quarters.
|by Anonymous||reply 527||Last Monday at 6:54 AM|
Hugh D lost most of his fortune before his death, didn't he r527?
As I remember it, he lost a lot of money for his clients and, being an old school guy, he decided to pay them back from his own money or something like that.
|by Anonymous||reply 528||Last Monday at 6:57 AM|
Janet remarried some old sailor or something, someone considered way inappropriate, in her later years, and then left him a widower. The family made sure he got basically nothing from her.
|by Anonymous||reply 529||Last Monday at 7:06 AM|
R529, I don't think he was an old sailor, I thought he was an old childhood friend of hers.
|by Anonymous||reply 530||Last Monday at 8:14 AM|
Could be, r530, I just remembering reading about it in one of the bios some years ago. I was surprised to see she had remarried. And that she had died not that long before Jackie.
