The above four never give me a wide range of emotions & I could care less if they all fell down an elevator shaft as a group. No big loss at all.

Tripp started appearing in March/April 2017, if they cut him now, he would air till Jun/July 2019. That's a bit more than 2 years, which is a good run for a young actor these days. When Chambo started they got 4 years contract, but they don't give hose any more since the show barely gets renewed from year to year.

Since we have names like Moobs/FCF, GrindrJoey, Hopeless/Esperanza, etc., let's continue this and use R8's name for Sarah Horton: Screech!

Eric can leave with Nicole if her return is temporary.

I agree -- I didn't like Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire) at the beginning, but I think she's really progressed and could easily be the next Sami, the young lying, duplicitous schemer the show needs. But the show has never been interested in writing for her -- or Lucas Adams' Tripp, and I think that actor is the most talented of the younger set. I've seen rumors that they're going to SORAS Sami's kids to replace them, but I don't know why they just didn't write for this group.

However, the initials "J.D." were on a door at Kristen & Dr. Rolf's compound in Nashville, along with A.V., V.A., and A.D. Since Kristen and Rolf had revived EJ and held him there, speculation is that those initials people were also held there after their "deaths" and revived.

Jack Deveraux, Ava Vitale, Vivian Alamain, and Andre DiMera are those presumed revived dead people.

So, most likely, Kristen had Jack as well, which is how Xander knew and therefore made the deal with Eve.

Jack's probably been unconscious like EJ until recently but maybe not.

Oh, and Vivian was shown to be revived after being murdered by Kate, so we know she is alive and conscious.

ED gave a recent interview where she rebuffed any rumor that she left due to issues with Mal or CBS/Sony.

It's clear you have to agree to work for less to stay on Days. Stephen Nichols thought he had clout but but the show saved more money by cutting him and moving the character off screen. CS probably didn't even bother to negotiate, just left once he found some other gig to pay the bills.

I don't think you have to agree to work for less, I think you have to wrap your head around the economics of the business. Nichols seems to think it's 1988 and he's working 5 days a week and pulling in high six figures. That's just not the business anymore. As Alfonso tried to explain to Reckell, you are making a decent salary for working 30 weeks a year. It's always the vets who were big shit back in the day, who have the biggest problems stepping off to the side. These people have to realize that Days is producing 8 shows a week for the exact same licensing fee that produced 4 episodes 30 years ago. And don't get me wrong, the show is still making money, it would have been cancelled if it wasn't. Is it paying for the entire NBC Pilot Season like it did in the 90s, no. But they are making a few pennies off of it and they are not going to give those few pennies to 70 year old Stephen Nichols.

Maybe if Stephen was willing to put out he might possibly still be there. You have point R180 there have been voluntary and non voluntary pay cuts more so in recent years especially for actors who aren't a pet to the HW(s), EP or another executive.

Why in the world would SN think either he or the character have clout? He didn't drive story the last time he was on and quite frankly, was a bit of a bore. Meanwhile, they continue to decimate the younger crowd and expect the over 50 characters to be front burner romantic interests? The horror!

What we've had for years is a boring Will & it seems like his portrayer is now too bored to bring any realness to his character. Jussie S. on Empire doesn't have any problems playing his gay character year after year.

It looks like Cin is in lead with the Valentine's day poll although some are claiming that there was voter tampering and "robo votes" added to increase Cin and Jarlena's numbers.

They might do the pan the camera away a little bit after WilSon start making love then return to them in the afterglow. Unless something has changed again I don't think there will be scenes done in the manner like that of Paul and Will in the hotel room or like on GH of I believe Brad climbing on top of Lucas anymore. Although I could be wrong. I do remember there were complaints that those scenes "went a little too far over the line" especially for daytime.

Just remembering that the scene with Will and Paul in the hotel room was listed by Buzzfeed among its Top 25 Hottest TV Sex Scenes on any American television program (network, cable, etc.) for 2015. It came in at No. 11. .. The only other gay male sex scene on the list was one featuring Kevin and Patrick from HBO's "Looking" at No. 5. (There were a couple of MMF scenes on the list.) Also, PaulSon was the only scene from a daytime soap opera to make the list.

I don't think PaulSon has ever had a "visible" sex scene although I could be wrong about that.

Corday filed a $20M lawsuit against Sonny

In a breach of contract and fraud complaint filed this morning, Corday Productions accuse Sony as well as its Columbia Pictures and Screen Gems divisions of deliberating hanging the 1965 premiering DOOL out to dry distribution-wise in international markets to the advantage of their 100% owned The Young and the Restless.

The filing slathers it up more by claiming that Sony is tightening its hold of late by “imposing solely on Corday the burden of absorbing the multi-million dollar annual operating deficits due to an inadequate NBC license fee and mandating an inefficient, costly production schedule.”

Interesting that the production schedule is apparently a Sony thing. I personally always thought part of it was Ken not wanting to be taken hostage by a writers’ strike or studio rental issues, given they need to push new shows for all 52 weeks.

If I am remembering right I believe that Days is currently being sued by a former employee who alleged that the show was negligent in safety and that they were almost nearly paralyzed and or could have been possibly killed because of falling equipment on top of them.

Then they had Will cheat off-camera, a real 180 in characterization after his rage towards Sami for being an adulterer, and they didn't even develop it. Will was just suddenly unfaithful and defensive towards Sonny. And then writing a story about his family and exposing them to public ridicule. And then sleeping with Paul for no real reason.

It was a hatchet job. Probably to punish Chandler and appease bigot viewers and advertisers.

But Guy played his scenes well.

I love the show now that Ron has taken over. I loved it when Eileen was on. It's a hell of a lot better than the entire 2000s crapfest (sans the Marlena serial killer storyline). The very early 2010s were a bit boring until Eileen came back in 2012. Then it hit a snag when Dena tried to destroy things. I'd say the 2010s Days has been pretty great. Ron has found the right balance playing with the Jim Riley years while also integrating some timely subjects like illegal immigration and racial profiling without hitting people over the head with it. It's a friggin soap.

Chrishell Stause is a doing a terrific job. I thought her character was so boring originally. Having her now as a nut case is soooo much more interesting. Kudos for making Laura Kai Chen as Melinda Trask a full-time villain. I love her character. It's good that Days has a more diverse cast without it seeming to be forced like Dena was doing with the boring Hernandez clan. Days was one of the whitest shows on television for years. Victoria Konefal is a good Ciara recast as well. My god, how many recasts did they have to do to finally get that one right??!
