To continue the TG discussion from the last thread, Geary was gone from the show so much during those last years it was like he was barely there anyway. The show felt no different to me when he left for good. I don’t miss him. Jane Elliott/Tracy on the other hand is sorely missed and the show hasn’t been the same to me since her departure. Tracy still drove story even though she was no longer a major character. And I loved her banter and surlyness.

That whole assault scene was ridiculous. Ryan has killed, decapitated and dragged bodies across town. Why would he stab her in the abdomen and then step back?

Well, the great Sam and Jason reunion lasted all of one night.

Aside from JL's great acting, this whole serial killer story has been a bust. Nobody cared about Mary Pat dying, nobody cared about documentary day player guy dying and everyone knew they weren't going to kill off Saint Laura's only remaining child on canvas. Seriously, why even bother with this whole idea just to let it fizzle out so uneventfully (I don't know if that's even a real word...). I think DLers could write better story arcs for this show and would probably even do it for free to breath some life into this dying show.

Personally, I think most actors when they are young and hungry want to play a wide range of roles and stretch themselves, but after a certain age (Streep and some others being the exception) it's about a paycheck and feeding your family and they stick with what they know or what they are hired to do.

And in soaps where rehearsal is almost non existent, directors don't have the time to separate actors from their crutches.

This plot point is Drool of Our Days stupid and I have no expectations for the writers to generate some good psychological aftermath repercussions either.

I was so hoping that Lulu was playing him, only saying it was Franco to ensure her safety and that as soon as Jordan was in the room she would do an about face and accuse Kevin/Ryan instead, taking him by surprise.

Is it possible this is all a set up to lull Ryan into a false sense of security until they gather more evidence on his other crimes and that Franco is working with the PD? Seems like a cruel thing to put his family through, but, you know, GH.

There was an episode a few weeks back, I think Ryan was visiting Kevin in the loony bin, and he casually mentioned he was no longer interested in Felicia.

The writers made it clear Felicia was no longer the object of Ryan's obsession when he ran into her and she was blathering on about being a grandmother and he had a disgusted look on his face, her grandma status saved her life. Besides KW is only barely reoccurring and I believe on another show (Hallmark?). Not that I'm excusing the lackluster serial killer Ryan has been, he had plenty of other blondes to choose from who are on contract and always around.

Maybe they deliberately kept Felicia out of Ryan's orbit because he would have been busted a lot sooner and they wanted to stretch out the story as long as possible. I think it's already strained credulity in terms of people not noticing things are out of whack, but it would have been even worse if Felicia was in constant contact and nothing registered on her radar.

TB looks good today, whatever they did with her hair and m/u they need to keep doing or maybe she just got some sleep or something, if that's the case then she needs to continue that.

I do think some seasoned, old school soap actors can sell crap writing ....MW (Denise DiMuccio), FH (masks), NLG, MS. MC just is not of that genre.

I haven't watched in almost 30 years, since I was in college. And even then I'd watch sporadically and didn't know half of what was going on (there was a freaking alien on at the time), so I haven't watched regularly since my days in junior high & early high school (1980-83 or 84). I used to like the hospital setting which sounds like is rarely used these days. In the 80s, Even when the main characters weren't working the hospital, they were still tied to it by family (Laura to Lesley, Rick, Amy; Luke to Bobbie, Ruby; etc.)

Oh please. People have been cancelling Days every year since 2006. Bottom lines all of these shows are going to remain on the air for as long as the networks can suqeeze one dime of revenue and some audience good will out of them.

But I will admit that GH is only on the air today, because NBC hasn't cancelled Days. The second NBC pulls that plug, ABC will cancel GH. So everyone one over at GH, better be thanking their lucky stars for Days.
