r10, if you mean the original movie with Buster Crabbe, that was about right. Even though he was actually an Olympian he managed to look like a normal person.

If you mean the 80s parody Sam Jones was the weak link of the whole film. They changed Flash into the quarterback of the New York Jets so essentially you were supposed to see Joe Nameth on screen as the savior of the Earth. Hardly fits with the Everyman concept.

However I loved the film for the rest of the cast. Brian Blessed, Max von Sydow, Topol, and Fabiana's costume designer.
