But back to our last topic: I think that if Ben is coming across as --slightly-- more butch in interviews lately, it's more to do with not wanting to distress the fanboy/nerd/incel audiences of Westworld and Punisher than it has to do with USA vs UK.

But if we get some deliciously flaming press for BBC's Golddigger, I won't complain.

Needs a bigger sampling group. That person obviously just doesn't like Netflix series. Iron Fist and Luke Cage were awful. S1 of Punisher was incredible and not just because of Billy the Beaut.

I was not expecting the level of hype surrounding Barnes in season 2. He's been promoted as much as Bernthal/Castle.

Season 1 was good, but it easily could have been wrapped up in 10 episodes.

Just finished this season of Punisher. I hated Ben's storyline and love affair with the therapist. The apartment scene with Madani was satisfying, but his scene in the last episode with Frank wasn't.

I can remember seeing videos/pictures on IG of him running/jogging with his costars like Amber Rose Revah and Evan Rachel Wood so maybe it's a distance thing? He seems to be fine doing it in shorter bursts but perhaps marathons, like his brother does, aren't his thing.

The second season of Punisher is a bit of a snooze. Could not care less about the girl or her situation and it boggles the mind that this preacher guy and his army are so all-powerful and influential. As far as Billy Russo goes, he has some gaping scars but otherwise his face is smooth. Based on his injuries, and his supposed need for a mask, his face should have looked a lot worse.

I think one of the challenges with Ben's appearance are his eyes.

He has really dark eyes -- they almost look demonic at times. They looked good in a role like Dorian Gray where he was playing a character that became progressively more deranged, but in a lot of other circumstances his eyes are a bit off-putting.

I sometimes wonder if Ben's eyes are a little off-putting to some people. They're very dark -- almost black. They can look almost evil sometimes. They fit well with "Dorian Gray" where his character became progressively darker, but I'm not sure they suit him as well in other roles.

— He talked about how fantasy is a huge part of his life and how, if he's on a train and it stops, he starts mapping out in his head who would be his love interest, the hero, etc. as if it was a story. — Talked about The Punisher but it was just him repeating the same bits he did during the press tour so I won't go into detail. — Briefly mentioned how he was able to have these major differences in character arcs in both Westworld and The Punisher but, again, he's spoken about this a bit in the past already. — There was something about how people tend to wear a mask or play up certain aspects of their personality with different friend groups but he didn't spend a lot of time on it. — Mentioned how, as a child, he'd get these terrible migraines and since one had happened on Christmas Eve, his parents let him open a gift early to make him feel better. Now it's a tradition that he doesn't particularly care for as he's more about delayed gratification vs. instant. He also compared it to watching tv and mentioned that he prefers to drag shows out rather than binge watching. — Did not mention Gold Digger, unfortunately.

Highly unlikely anything happened with Sophie Cookson. 1. She’s incredibly paranoid and wouldn’t have been photographed with him if there was. 2. She was papped with Claire Foy’s ex-husband a couple days after the tennis. They were having an affair since November 2017. She cheated on her live-in GF (Elliot Sumner). She’s since shut up shop on her SM because of being papped 3. Her latest TV show is with the BBC and other actors from her show were at that same event. I don’t know when the scenes in the beginning of that episode were filmed, but BB said he shot his final scene at the end of shoot (which would’ve been late July/early August) so if it was all done in order, it’s possible he stopped working out by then since he was mostly in layers or wearing that prosthetic chest piece.

As we've talked about in the past, Ben seems to often be a third wheel who attaches himself onto other couples/friends. He doesn't seem to ever have a significant other or a date with him when he's socializing.

What I want to know is:

1) If Ben is straight, why would he be so worried about people knowing who he;s with?

2) Why does Ben never seem to even bring his romantic partners/dates along to social events with his friends? Eg. in the photos above, and in previous photos with Julian, Landon, etc. he never seems to have anyone with him.

Maybe he thinks if his private life is too public, it will interfere with how people view him/his work. He's done a few interviews that have given me that vibe, although I could be totally wrong and he's just a bit of a nutcase.

I don't understand him not bringing someone along to events, though. It's possible none of them are serious enough for him to want to introduce them to his friends, or perhaps he isn't as close to the people around him to want them to meet his partner. Of the people I could see that followed/were followed by his private IG, there didn't seem to be much crossover with his public IG follows/followers (and he did reference not showing his "real" friends in a recent interview).
