R9 Hold your horses. Let's see if Trump can survive 2019 first. It will be a hard year for Trump for sure. The stock market is about to dive off a cliff. Even the lazy ass journalists are starting to do their damn job and uncovering Trump's dirty shenanigans from before and after 2016 election. Next year, Dem House and Pelosi will rake him over the coals and enjoy every minute of it. Mueller will for sure go after Trump's inner circle with the evidence he gathered from Flynn, Manafort and Cohen. If Trump can survive all that, he still would be going into the election knowing the GOP lost a whole bunch of independent voters who regret ever voting for him. Putin would have to perform a miracle to get Trump re-elected.

Most of us are not meant to be monogamous. Society uses monogamy to make us miserable and make us feel guily about trying to escape monogamy through cheating since miserable people (who feel guilty about something) are easier to control and manipulate.

The latest Q craziness:
Michelle, Hillary and the rest of the Deep State received "Promise To Counter" letters at GHWB's funeral, something Q made up (they were programs for the service that everyone got).
Yes, arrest dates and takedown proclamations have come and gone many, many, many times, but THIS TIME it's for real: January 3, 2019, will mark the exposure of the Deep State with massive arrests like Hillary (even though Q said Hillary was arrested over a year ago).
The biggest revelation: The United States actually merged with Germany's Nazi Party at the end of World War II. Yes, we surrendered to the Nazis in actuality. This was all Hitler's plan. GHWB was one of the head American Nazis and his whole family is a nest of Nazis. Putin is working WITH the USNazis/Deep State; Trump is playing 64th dimensional chess with Putin as well, stringing him along.
Oh, and the dead dehydrated Mexican kid was a plant by the Deep State, of course.

hey you guys know about the bill Ryan is pushing? Leftover E-3 visas not used by Australians will be given to to Irish so they can work in the USA. In return Americans can work in Ireland. For example, 10k such visas set aside for Aussies but usually only 5k used. so 5K E3 visas will be given to Irish to work in USA and 5k US citizens can work in Ireland.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 16, 2018 2:16 PM |
the bill will likely pass but Trump still has to approve. whites can come but building wall so mexicans cannot come.

Ok, so when Dump gets frog-marched out of the Oval Office in handcuffs by the FBI, convicted, sentenced and kicked into a country club prison, are the lunatic Q followers still going to believe his pronouncements that the Clintons et al are already secretly under indictment? Do they decide ok well maybe he was wrong about that but he's still right about everything else? Do they just ignore that part and move on to a different narrative about how the Deep State won? How does that work psychologically? Are the Q believers even real people? Has anyone checked to see how many of them are Russian bots?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 16, 2018 2:28 PM |
R34 - we know the real reason why Ryan is pulling this stunt, don't we?
It's because the Irish are predominantly WHITE and CHRISTIAN.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 16, 2018 2:30 PM |
How fucked up is it that Ireland is now more progressive than the US?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 16, 2018 2:31 PM |
A shitload of Irish people came to Canada to work during the 'boom' a few years back. It was mostly skilled tradesmen to work in construction. As soon as the boom busted, they were left struggling on assistance or had to move back home. So, I can see this move working out well.

He really is unhinged. As always, you come for the lunacy but stay for the comments, which are delightful:
[quote] Remember, Michael Cohen only became a “Rat” after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started. They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE! Why didn’t they break into the DNC to get the Server, or Crooked’s office?

Yeah, I am getting the impression that Ireland is next thing to a Nazi state.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 16, 2018 3:44 PM |
The Qs already think that Hillary, Obama, Michelle and Dubya are fake lookalikes, utilized by the Deep State to cover for the true imprisoned people. They claim, "Why do you think the DEMS are so up in Hollywood's ass? Hollywood specializes in makeup and disguises and CGI to cover for Killary being sent to Gitmo!"
But why wouldn't Trump crow about having imprisoned Hillary over a year ago? The Qs are truly insane.

Slightly off-topic but... in the OP link, their daughter, Arabella, looks like the little 7-yr old girl, Jackelin Caal, the psychopathic border patrol agents allowed to suffer and die from dehydration last week. And she also resembles many of the other migrant girls too, including the caged little girls and some of those unaccounted for or missing.
Trump hates these migrants with a passion but doesn't see that his own granddaughter looks like them; cute, adorable and deserving of empathy, kindness and protection. Even if he did notice, that wouldn't stop the hatred and abuse toward them.
Back to the topic at hand. Just thought I raise that awareness.

The Qs won't let go of the "mysterious" envelopes which contained something that made all the members of the Deep State recoil in horror:
[Quote] Okay at your father's funeral, did you or will you be holding your hand over your heart, holding head high in praise as your father is carried by in the coffin for the last time, then you be shown the program and immediately drop your hand from your heart, look around as in shock, look at your brother in some sort of negative awe. While your wife's jaw hits the floor and stares at your brother while having a look of absolute disgust....
[Quote] Joe Biden must have been really looking forward to the Bush Granddaughter's performance. He looked like his life was about end after reading his note...and immediately showed it to the guy sitting to his right.t
[Quote] The reaction continues while their father/ father in law is carried by in a coffin. Doesn't add up to me. There is something there I believe. My mind does not work in absolutes, and I don't jump on to theories, we just really don't know the truth of course. But there isn't much you could do to me to pull my reaction or attention from my father being carried by in a coffin.t
Also, these Q Warriors just make up their own stuff. Without Q mentioning Pence, the Q-Tips now think that Pence is part of the Deep State based on his wife getting an envelope at the funeral:
[Quote] Pence is stinking up the place for me all of the sudden. Wife gets note. Nxivm connected. VERY uncomfortable at Trump/Pelosi/Schumer performance. Too uncomfortable, since technically he is on the winning side. When shutdown was made obvious he leaned away from DJT and squirmed. It seems clear he was there to step in. There is ZERO chance he is going to step in now. Watching Pence, as I think he's outlived his usefulness on both sides.
Also, General Kelly must be Deep State, too, because:
[Quote] Chief of Staff (almost former) General John Kelly exhibited similar behavior to Pence, over the past 6 months, or so. Actually worse. Many photos of him burying his head in his hand as President Trump gave speeches.t

Why the double standard? We're gay men and able to make the distinction between finding a man hot and finding him to be a good person.

I have full confidence in Mueller and trust that he's going to bring down Trump and any close associates. One of my greatest fears, however, is that Mueller will take too long bringing down Trump's house of cards. If Trump remains in office long enough, he may very well run for president in 2020. Craven Repub.s may not have the ca-hones to stand up to him and prevent his run. (A lot of if's I realize, but here's the scary part.) Our nation's election system is clearly flawed (miss counted ballots, hacking, voting machines owned by Russian oligarchs, crooked politicians rigging voting etc. . . ) and because Trump has loosened voting restrictions and reduced funds for monitoring election fraud, I see no reason why he and his cronies couldn't rig the 2020 election. If Trump wins the presidency in 2020, we are all fucked!

A record number of Republicans are departing Congress this session.
Some left because, as conservative as they are, they’re still not far enough to the extreme right to get reelected in Trump’s party (e.g. Sanford).
But many likely left because the Russians have Kompromat (money or hacked pictures). They’re under orders to defend Russian interests (and Trump) on pain of Russia exposire. They’ve responded in two ways:
1. Dead meat. Retire immediately - they are no longer in a position to vote so the Kompromat loses much of its value (e.g. Chaffetz).
2. Strategic retreat. Keep head down on Russia issues - or let others take the majority lead when you are forced to vote - so Kompromat’s not revealed, but announce you’re heading for the exits, hopefully before all hell breaks loose. Use time to look for a new gig. (e.g. Ryan, Issa).
That leaves the party filled with un (or only lightly) compromised extreme right wingers and a third group: Dumb and dumber.
3. They are seriously compromised, but stay in hopes of subverting the investigation. They can’t join group two, above, because in most cases their lack of smarts is so widely known that no one will hire them for a new lobbying, or other, gig. Further evidence of their stupidity is that they’re staying despite now being in mostly powerless minority. (e.g. McCarthy, Nunes).

Trump and his buddy Rudy telegraph a lot unintentionally. Now we know he is pissed off and would love t see horrible things happen to Michael Cohen, who he describes as a rat. But what I find worrying is that Rudy and Trump still see Flynn as being railroaded and as a victim of abuse by investigators. It makes me wonder if Flynn is really being honest and cooperating as much as he should have. And these accusations that Flynn was "set up" by the Feds and denied counsel all make him seem victimized and not at all like a cooperating witness. I don't like that Mueller is recommending no jail time, or that Flynn was busted trying to plan the kidnapping of the Turkish cleric. Something about the whole Flynn thread of this investigation smells bad to me.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | December 17, 2018 9:35 AM |

Flynn’s a criminal. Got it.
He’s also, according to Mueller, been enormously helpful in efforts to bring down a much bigger, and more corrosive, criminal.
To encourage others to do the same, Mueller wants to show there’s reward in ultimately doing the right thing.
I have the feeling some of those criticizing a potentially reduced Flynn sentence secretly don’t want Mueller to capture the Orange Turd.

Well, you'd be wrong, R160. Like a lot of other people I'm just pissed off that he has a reduced sentence. I don't give a fuck that he cooperated. He was a high ranking member of our military with an incredibly sensitive job. Flynn, like Manafort, who was an experienced political operator, knew better than most of those clowns that what he was doing was wrong. And yet his lawyers are now attacking the Feds and accusing them of setting him up? I mean did I misread something?
I don't care that you attack the credibility of my post, by suggesting I have ulterior motives, because I've noticed a lot of that going around. But you're wrong. A former business partner of Michael Flynn was charged this morning with acting as an agent of a foreign government and conspiracy for attempting to get Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen extradited from the United States.
According to the indictment, Bijan Kian conspired with Turkish businessman Ekim Alptekin to illegally lobby U.S. government officials and influence public opinion in the U.S. against Gulen.
Flynn, who served as President Trump’s national security adviser during his first weeks in office, is identified in the indictment as “Person A.”

Mueller requires witnesses. Sometimes you have to make deals with demons to nail the devil himself. Investigators don't just get to pick nuns for testimony.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | December 17, 2018 3:10 PM |
R170 I understand. But what I found curious is that after the deal is made, and the Special Prosecutor talks about how cooperative Flynn has been, why do Giuliani and Trump and the rest portray him as a victim saying the Feds lied to him and set him up, and then his lawyers attack the SP too. That doesn't seem like a cooperating witness to me. That was my main point.
But now, even as I type this I have a new theory. Maybe the Special Prosecutor wants to make Flynn pardon proof. By publicly recommending a very light to no sentence, and by only charging him with a bare minimum, and he has pleaded guilty to lying, Trump will look really bad if he pardons Flynn. It seems like Trump and Giuliani are mad at Mueller about Flynn, where with Cohen they are angry at Cohen. So the only conclusion I can finally draw is that Mueller outmaneuvered them...again. : )

[quote]Here's why Donald Trump is flailing: it has everything to do with the SDNY. Donald Trump has this long career of having to navigate civil legal matters where you pay people off, you pay settlements, you reach private agreements, but it's always monetary. The reason he's flailing is no amount of money can turn off the SDNY case, no amount of money can turn off Bob Mueller. Donald Trump, for the first time that we know of publicly, is facing significant criminal accusations. He's never been in this environment before and for a man who's always been able to write a check to get himself out of trouble, this is the end of the road. No amount of money can turn off these criminal investigations and... They got him. They got him. They got him.

I read that Trump lackey, Devin Nunes, said on Fox, that Flynn agreed to cooperate with Mueller because he ran out of cash. One may assume that's due to legal fees.
Nunes is being dismissive of the fact that Mueller has evidence on Flynn that could put him away for a lot of years. Same with Cohen on that point.

Jerry George, Former LA bureau chief for National Enquirer 28 years was on Ari Melber’s The Beat today.
Pecker’s Non-prosecution deal with AMI with Mueller is a huge problem for Trump and the Kushner’s.
The national enquirer was almost bankrupt and it would appear that Saudi money bailed them out.
Jared’s friendship with the Saudi’s was used to blackmail Trump. The Saudi’s paid AMI for positive media coverage in the National Enquirer.
AMI has blackmail material on Trump and Kushner’s, sibling rivalries, discord with Melania and some criminal activity according to Jerry George along with criminal information on the Kushner’s that involves the Saudi connections.
“There is another shoe to drop. The special counsel's focus is now moving towards the Saudi’s role in all of this and they (Kushner’s) may not be out of trouble yet.”
Trump replaced Cohen with Kushner as the National Enquirer connection/go-between - glad Jared has time for that along with saving the world and everything.
There was a special edition of the Nat. Enquirer last winter with the MBS Prince on the cover and Trump inside that came out of nowhere and AMI was no doubt paid handsomely by the Saudi’s for this coverage.
It would appear that both Kushner’s are being implicated by this deal between AMI and Mueller.
They will lose everything and both go to prison.

Holy Crap, the PLURAL of Kushner is Kushners - NO APOSTROPHE is used to make a name plural.
And "Spell-Check" did not do it for you against your will. You typed in ALL of those apostrophes.
The plural of Saudi is Saudis.
The plural of Trump is Trumps.
The apostrophe is used for possession, as correctly used in "special counsel's" above.
"Saudi's role" should be "Saudis' role" or "Saudis's role.

After watching Rachel talk about how Flynn was actually involved in active, and I'd say treasonous, schemes involving Turkey and the CIA, I wonder if Mueller is taking it somewhat easy on him involving these things because he's lifelong military. Comey is an ex FBI director. Intelligence people of that caliber know how to lie and spin stories to their advantage. I think he is just trying to wash off that stink he pulled with Hillary 10 days before the election. He may have ambitions running for office. He's sneaky, I don't trust him. If he can help bringing Trump people down, fine. Otherwise he should just shut up and go away. I actually wish somebody should throw a Hatch Act lawsuit at him.

But he should keep a low profile and not give the deplorables any new ammunition, and let Mueller do the job of taking down the Trump gang.
by Anonymous | reply 306 | December 18, 2018 8:21 AM |
isn't there a lawsuit against the NY FBI office for leaking to the Ghoul?
When Flynn started his "I was set up" bullshit, Mueller amended his sentencing redo to minimal time and removed the part about no time.
Also, the filing today regarding his partner was probably to remind the sentencing judge just how dirty Flynn is and how he conspired against the United States.
I will be very surprised if the traitor Flynn gets no jail time. I am thinking 3 - 5 years although, IMHO, he should be hanged for treason and his nutter brat thrown in Gitmo just for being a useless bag of shit and son of a traitor.

Comey's screed was amazing to watch in real time. He basically laughed at that idiot Fox reporter who was asking some arcane shit about some text of rules...etc. Shit that would be lost on her viewers. The duck quacking as she was asking her question had to be done on purpose.
by Anonymous | reply 310 | December 18, 2018 12:07 PM |
When I see how the Republicans are treating Comey I have to wonder if they are doing anything behind the scenes to Hillary. It pisses me off that they continue to scream about her e-mails and Trump still refers to her as "Crooked" but if they have escalated beyond the verbal attacks and they're harassing her, attempting to compel her to come in to testify, I swear I'd like to go down there and corner Nunes and the rest of them in some hallway and slap the crap out of them.
R297, I'm not being short sighted about the way Mueller is handling Flynn. I have absolute Confidence in Mueller. But I can still have an opinion of wanting to see him get prison time. R299 is right, he seems very unrepentant. I feel like they ought to be hard on him because of his military/intelligence background. I'm betting Trump, Rudy, et al are setting Flynn up for a pardon, and it seems like the only way to forestall that is for Mueller's people to make sure we all know why he was being charged and why he plead guilty.
For them to suggest he was set up and tricked is ridiculous. This isn't some low level lunatic, like a Sam Nunberg, this is a former Director of intelligence for the Department of Defense. (Obama fired him.) Flynn's illegal activities should be so well known, that if Trump does pardon him he would have to leave the country because there would be no where safe for him to live in the United States. And pardoned or not, he ought to be stripped of his military pension. I'd definitely support that.

Asha Rangappa then retweeted this story and posted: "This is yuge. If Trump or anyone in his campaign knew, encouraged, facilitated, or participated in the Kremlin's assistance to get Trump elected, you're looking at a quid pro quo, my friends. (aka COLLUSION)" @AshaRangappa_.
I strongly advise people defending trump to look for the next U-turn.

This article tells me that Dump has no intention of resigning... he’s going to hold on unless they drag him out. And the Republican Party just doubled down on him for 2020.
by Anonymous | reply 317 | December 18, 2018 1:36 PM |
That article, R317 just tells me that he plans to use the office to grift and steal every penny he can until the last possible second.
by Anonymous | reply 318 | December 18, 2018 1:41 PM |
Yes, but, R317. Nixon looked as if he wouldn't be leaving either. (And he won a much bigger victory in 1972 -- a nearly unanimous Electoral College vote, save for DC, MA, and SD -- that the Dotard did in 2016.) But Repukes in the Senate will strongly consider the weight of evidence against tRump as they make their calculations on how to proceed. And, if the polls look dreadfully awful for them, then they will make the same pitch to Cheatolini that was made to Nixon: resign, or we will be forced to remove you from office.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We all know that there aren't 20 Rethug votes in the Senate for removal. And, there aren't. Until there are. Those spineless weasels will abandon his bloated carcass as soon as it becomes politically expedient for them to do so. If the evidence of conspiracy and treason is overwhelming, as we expect it to be, he will not be able to hang on. He's already skating on very thin ice with the revelation of him having directed Cohen to commit felonies in an attempt to defraud the citizens of the United States. So far he's "survived." But, you add other crimes to this, and the whole thing will come tumbling down and very quickly.
And, the only reason that this criminal has been left in the Oval Office is because everyone expects the next set of revelations will be even worse than what we've already seen. The Dems aren't agitating to take him out just yet because they know there is much more to come that is far more damning. Why try and push this through now, when it will be easier in January or February. The Repukes are just cowering in the corner, with the occasional bleat from that ridiculous closet case, La Senatrice. Otherwise, they are happy to leave things as they are, foolishly hoping and pretending that if they ignore it the Orange Menace will just go away.

[quote] When I see how the Republicans are treating Comey I have to wonder if they are doing anything behind the scenes to Hillary.
That would be pointless to the Republican Party, because it's all theatre for the Deplorable demographic in the first place. If the Deplorables can't watch it happen, or unfold, there is no point in wasting time and energy on it. Sure, the Q Anon losers can go on and on about Benghazi and her emails, but that's why that group exists in the first place (to keep the Deplorables entertained and engaged).

What I want is justice for the betrayal of our elective process....this means tracking done those responsible who worked in concert with foreign agents to manipulate that process.
ALL Americans should be concerned and want protections in place. That this administration BLOCKED a bill in the Senate before the midterms tells me everything I need to know.

Agreed, R329. There are no deplorables, just the duped. These are not criminals, for the most part, but people who have allowed the worst within themselves to master them. There may be hope in that the willfully ignorant among them are vastly outnumbered by the legions of Americans tired of this shit and aligned with those who voted in the midterms to send a message that fuckface clearly did not receive.
I want to see Flynn ostracized and put on a ship that remains out to sea forever....a man without a country.

The DC poster was indeed very helpful. The asshole stating that he was not is someone trying to stir the pot.
Same as the posters saying, "just move on, the U.S. is fucked anyway, etc.).
Hold those accountable for treason. International sanctions for Putin and salt and burn the ground he and his murderous Saudi friends trod on.
When you say move on from a directly hacked election and instead concentrate on the wealth issues with the "1%", R329, I assume you include Bernie Sanders in that 1%, a millionaire with three lakehouses. I say you are using that as a wedge issue. I am active on Occupy, btw, and a literal socialist, but I can still see misogynist - because of course you blame "neoliberal" Hillary but not NRA-loving Sanders, even though she spearheaded universal healthcare in the United States -machinations from space, despite how clever you think you are. To be crystal clear: Racists ARE deplorable. White supremacists ARE deplorable. Evangelical dominionists who would gladly burn the Earth to hasten the "rapture" ARE deplorable. Abortion fetishists who refuse to provide education and birth control in order to reduce abortion ARE deplorable. Human beings who summoned Trump's darkness to hang on to political power for one more cycle ARE deplorable. US citizens who voted into power an administration that exacerbates chaos, inflicts psychological damage and kills children at the border ARE deplorable. People who turn a blind eye to criminal behavior because they get to keep power ARE deplorable. US citizens who provide cover and excuses for treasonous behavior ARE deplorable. People who would subjugate gay men and women and transexuals to being second-class citizens ARE deplorable.
GTFOH with your "duped" bullshit. People who engage in deplorable behavior and beliefs are in fact, DEPLORABLE.

As a real progressive, I too look forward to a united Democratic party, and not one where sexist RT/Assange/Young Turks fans throw chairs at statesmen like John Lewis. I was one of those 'antifa' types round up on the idiot's inaugural. I probably got more time in jail than this asshole will.
Thanks, R349, for the definition of deplorable. I'm well aware what the word means. I use much much stronger language for those people, btw.
And I've been here a long time and know tactics like your's. You don't scare me any more than the jerks who grabbed me that day and punched me up so a cop would arrest me. I wasn't wearing black or hiding behind a mask or a keyboard, either.
A deplorable can be self-declared or named, as Mrs. Clinton did (sadly). Calling out racists and fascists has been a thing with me for quite some time. I'm used to others trying to turn the tables. What I do know is divisive tactics, like the ones you use, are tired and tiring. People cannot sustain that type of anger for long without severe damage to their physical and mental health.
NOT ALL those who you label are what you believe them to be. There were many who had no clue about that administration and what it meant to the country going forward. They know now. I'm not willing to write them off. You can do and say as you please, and I don't think you're all wrong, but you don't need to insult, degrade, or divide. That's the game plan of TROLLS.

Media's main job was to sell the narrative that it made total sense that Hillary lost, because of "she wasn't popular enough!", the FBI investigation being re-opened, Jill Stein & Bernie Sanders getting words that could have gone to Hillary otherwise, Bill Clinton's past, her emails, her lesbian relationship with Huma Abedin, Pizzagate, pantsuits!
It was all noise to cover up the fact of Russia hacking the election and giving the win to Trump to create total chaos in the US and piss off the EU and other US allies (Canada, for example).
by Anonymous | reply 355 | December 18, 2018 4:00 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 356 | December 18, 2018 4:02 PM |
Stein in the General and Bernie in the primaries. Yes, yes, we know this already.
She lost the election because of Russian interference. She was a convenient target because they drummed up the negative in social media and switched votes in states where it was close and shouldn't have been.
No one has to prove anything to a troll, btw. There is no way to prove how you voted or even if you're in this country right now.
To rehash this over and over is to create division. This is the tactic of a TROLL.

by Anonymous | reply 374 | December 18, 2018 4:32 PM |
R353 you're trying awfully hard.
Anyone with half sense and one eye knew exactly who and what Donald Trump was in 2016; the world has decades of video and news reporting to paint that picture. Deplorables chose to be willfully ignorant about that in order to get deplorable "goodies."
No rational person believes that appealing to deplorables' better nature will succeed. But you go on and try, honey.
by Anonymous | reply 375 | December 18, 2018 4:34 PM |
A few months it was UNTHINKABLE for Trump to get dragged out of the White House in hand cuffs. In recent days it has become a rather likely possibility. Trump loses associate after associate and they get lighter sentences for ratting Trump out. The GOP has to do something shortly, because they either will sink with Trump or stop the domino effect by turning on Trump (and force him - and Pence ? - to resign) and keep their devious part in all of it hidden. I think they will rather accept Pelosi as interim POTUS than have their own dirty laundry aired.

He delayed sentencing pending Mr. Flynn's further cooperation. He did not say a slap on the wrist was a option for treason. This judge was angry to say that in open court and point to the flag. No. Way too lenient. Establish a concentration camp modeled along Dachau. Throw Trump, his dump ass kids, Manafort, Flynn, Ryan, Turtle, Eric Prince, Roger Stone, Jerry Falwell, Jr., Pat Robertson and every other Trump supporter in there. Make them work from dawn to dusk, beat their asses severely if they don't move fast enough, give them starvation rations, then when they're half dead, string 'em up.
Now that's deterrence.

The GOP is NOT turning on Trump. They are doubling down and strangling anyone who tries to primary him. Let's see what all the fauxrageaholics who said the DNC cheated Bernie have to say about this.
"President Donald Trump is planning to roll out an unprecedented structure for his 2020 reelection, a streamlined organization that incorporates the Republican National Committee and the president’s campaign into a single entity.
It’s a stark expression of Trump’s stranglehold over the Republican Party: Traditionally, a presidential reelection committee has worked in tandem with the national party committee, not subsumed it.
Under the plan, which has been in the works for several weeks, the Trump reelection campaign and the RNC will merge their field and fundraising programs into a joint outfit dubbed Trump Victory. The two teams will also share office space rather than operate out of separate buildings, as has been custom.
The goal is to create a single, seamless organization that moves quickly, saves resources, and — perhaps most crucially — minimizes staff overlap and the kind of infighting that marked the 2016 relationship between the Trump campaign and the party. While a splintered field of Democrats fight for the nomination, Republicans expect to gain an organizational advantage."

So some of the poor misguided working class people who didn't realize how terrible he was voted for him in 2016, and now realize their "mistake" and want to come home? And we , for course will welcome them in because...a vote is a vote... I forget. Were they out in the wilderness when the whole access Hollywood, "grab 'em by the pussy..." tape came out? Did they overlook his courtship of the Alt Right and the violence he encouraged at his rallies? Calling the press the "enemy of the people" and goading his followers to "kick his ass" when they were "escorting " hecklers out? Please. By October people knew who Trump was. He wasn't going to "pivot" and he wasn't going to change and get serious. We knew by then he scammed people with Trump University. We knew about his bankruptcies, we knew he loved Putin, and we knew he didn't pay his contractors. As a wise woman said during one of those debates: "When someone shows you who they are...believe them." I will concede that there we re some people who regret their vote for Trump. But when I look at the violent, willfully ignorant, racist nasty vulgarians out here who are the bedrock of his support, then yes, they are "a basket of Deplorables."

There is zero hope for anyone who still, at this point, supports Trump, and they must be as corrupt and evil as Trump.
Slightly off-topic: I occasionally lurk around Deplorable sites to gauge their latest attitude towards Trump and to see what’s going on with Cult 45 and their warped Deplorable reality. Today, the Trump Administration moved to ban Bump Stocks, which will enrage a good portion of his base. At least the half that make up, all combined; hillbillies and their ilk, mountain men and their dumb women folk, preppers, and rural Republican gun-toting assholes and their asshole friends --- the real diehards are going to be angry as hell over this new policy. That may not amount to even half his base, but the more Cult 45 members opposing this ban the more collective anger towards Trump. It’s actually a meaningless gesture on Trumps part but nevertheless they DO NOT want this device banned and will be bitching to high hell about their constitutional rights over this latest decision.
I’ve posted 1-2 sentences on their sites (“It starts with a ban on Bump Stocks and then its something else, and then its gun confiscation.”) to further incite them about how we can no longer trust Trump and that he has broken another promise with this latest decision. Most ‘without conscious’ people are extremely suspicious and mistrusting of others. BTW, I don’t give a shit about Bump Stocks and have never even seen one. But like minds think alike.
*I get that Trump is almost history, on his way out,* but his supporters are screeching about a revolt and civil war if their Dear Leader is ousted. His supporters are nut cases, some are walking time bombs, none of whom can be trusted, and we don’t need any more violence. Ironically, the most untrustworthy people are the most suspicious and mistrusting of others. I would rather most of these morons without morals be okay with the end of his presidency, than not okay with it. The more who pull away from Trump or abandon him altogether, the more will follow suit. Again, the like minded think alike.
These ‘without conscious’, Trump and his followers, tend to have a profound influence on each other and they also tend to band together, like gangs. And cults. This ban won’t turn the majority of Deplorables against him, but even just a few points down in his approval rating, where it declines and starts with a 3, instead of a 4, helps. Every little bit helps.
Remember, moron Bush got re-elected with a low approval rating, which was somewhere in the 30s, depending upon which poll you want to believe. But the point is that it wasn’t even at 40% and he still got reelected. Plus we never thought Trump would get elected in the first place, and then he did. Crazier things have happened. Use this latest ban to rile up his base.

The mystery case that shut down an entire floor the the court house Friday wasn't for a person, it was for a state owned corporation.
Best guess at this time = Rosneft. The DC Circuit upholds subpoena and this corporation will have to pay daily fines until they comply with the subpoena. More perspective: from the beginning of his presidency, Trumps' approval rating has hovered to where George Bush's fell to after it was no longer deniable that the Iraq war was a disaster. After the 2008 collapse, his approval plummeted further into the 20%-30% range for his last year of presidency.
Of course, that has completely turned around for Bush and he is now quite popular. Thanks to Trump.

Some clues:
'we find that the government satisfied its burden of establishing a reasonable probability that this “action is based upon . . . an act outside the territory of the United States in connection with a commercial activity of the foreign state elsewhere” and that the “act cause[d] a direct effect in the United States.”'
'we consider the Corporation’s alternative argument that the subpoena is unreasonable and oppressive because it would require the Corporation to violate Country A’s law. As the party invoking foreign law, the Corporation “assumes the burden of showing that such law prevents compliance with the court’s order.” ... The Corporation has fallen well short of carrying that burden. The text of the foreign law provision the Corporation relies on does not support its position. Moreover, the submissions from the Corporation’s own counsel and—later—a regulator from Country A seeking to explain the Corporation’s atextual interpretation lack critical indicia of reliability."
So, the company isn't necessarily in the US (although it could be), but is doing business that affects the US, and the company tried to claim complying with the subpoena would violate the laws of its country, but failed to actually demonstrate that.

Delete your facebook stat! a new New York Times expose has revealed that Facebook gave 150 companies access to hundreds of millions of users' data without their knowledge or consent.
Facebook gave Netflix, Spotify, and the Royal Bank of Canada the ability to read, write, and delete Facebook users' private messages and to see all participants on a thread, according to the internal records.
Amazon was allowed to obtain users' names and contact information through their friends, and Yahoo could view streams of friends' posts. It also allowed Microsoft's search engine, known as Bing, to see the name of all Facebook users' friends without their consent.
Facebook made deals with over 60 makers of smartphones, including Apple.
Records show that Apple devices could access users' contact numbers and calendar entries, even if those same users had disabled all sharing.
Apple was also given the ability to hide the fact that its devices were asking for data from Facebook's users.
Yandex, a Russian social media company accused of having ties to the Kremlin, could access Facebook users' unique IDs as recently as 2017 - despite the fact that Facebook had stopped sharing them with other applications for years due to security concerns.

So Trump wishes Flynn good luck in the morning just before his sentencing hearings, Giuliani, and Sarah Sanders and other Trump surrogates all talk about him being set up by the FBI and how they lied to him, and his lawyers are alleging the same thing in apparently coordinated public statements ? And the Judge responds by kicking his ass and asks about Treason, and tells Flynn how much he disgusts him? I'd say whatever the Trump strategy was on Flynn, it's not working. I love it that it was a Judge originally appointed by Reagan who did that.

This article should suggest that the GOP is going down with Trump. Republicans have let themselves be absorbed into Trump's now investigated, discredited, and soon to be liquidated scam machine. What will be left of the Republican party? Will it just go up a sudden puff of smoke, as the NRA appears to be doing (knock on wood)?

R509 we can take the whole structure down in one swoop! All we have to do is show up.

The chairman of the Republican Party in South Carolina said the GOP could cancel its 2020 primary election to protect President Donald Trump, according to an interview with the Washington Examiner published early Wednesday.
In an interview with the newspaper Tuesday, McKissick said, “Considering the fact that the entire party supports the president, we’ll end up doing what’s in the president’s best interest.”

Wow, R515 that is about as close as you can get to a Neo Nazi authoritarian dictator. We are indeed becoming a banana republic. Now if they can rig the election through trickery and suppression, they can really shut us down. This is some dangerous shit and I don't think enough people realize it.
by Anonymous | reply 516 | December 19, 2018 3:59 PM |

r509, it was not that the Republican Party was absorbed into the Trump machine, but more like two criminal organizations that merged in a cooperation/MOU agreement to rape the Treasury and resources of our country. It was like the Capone deal that carved up the country for organized crime. The government corruption started with Reagan. Trump corruption started with his grandfather. Sooner or later they had to merge.

You are being set up. The hoops they are making Flynn and Manafort jump through are a mere precedent for the charges that will take down Hillary and the Podestas. All the time you have been cheering on the prosecution of Trump's men, you have been manipulated to agree in advance that the case against Hillary and her cronies is valid. It was Hillary colluding with Russia and the UK to sway the election and it is the Podestas and the Clinton Foundation who have been acting unregistered foreign agents for years.

I've seen speculation that it's meant to take heat off Saudi Arabia's Mohammed bin Salman. The U.S. departure essentially cedes control of northern Syria to Turkey -- and Trump hopes that doing so will stop the Turkish leader from harping on MBS' murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

What sort of people did the Trump foundation attempt to help? Did they claim to give aid to bleach blonde bimbos who suffer chronic pain after their YUUUGGEE breast implants? Did they aid and comfort the suffering 1% ,who are so very misunderstood? Had they given funds for surgeries to correct hammer toes and plantar fasciitis caused by years of wearing stripper heels? Did they function as a 'Make a Wish' type organization for wealthy businessemen, giving them vacations on private island for some underage pushy grabbing (because...hey . .they're mortal and they will, indeed, die one day)?

You know, Trump and the Republican Party becoming one entity and foreclosing any primary challenges should be the death of the GOP. They're a minority party anyway, because their base has shrunk to lunatics and extremists. So they are ripe for a third party challenge. More moderate Republicans could totally abandon Trump's party, and start something new. They will definitely lose in 2020, but this will lay the groundwork for them to totally kill this extremist influence and maybe rebuild a legitimate political party. I don't give a fuck if they never win office again if they continue to embrace the same policies they stand for right now.

What's going on with the Gulen extradition, in light of all the recent developments in Flynn's case and the arrest of his colleagues. I just read that Trump is still waving that red flag, re extradition. Would he still be brazen enough to try to do this (dumb question, I know) and can he actually achieve it?
Can Gulen ask for asylum in Canada, can he ask the Canadians in advance via back channels or does he just show up at the border?
