Brad legally adopted Angelina's adopted kids. All the kids have the last name Jolie-Pitt. When you legally adopt a child you are that child's parent just as much as you would be to a bio child in the eyes of the law. People who adopt a stepchild are recognized by law to be as much a parent to the child as a bio parent would be. People bond and become attached to and love their adopted kids just like any other parent. Maddox was adopted by AJ before Brad came on the scene. Brad was with Angelina when Zahara and Pax were adopted. He is their legal parent just as much as Angelina is and has the same legal obligations to the adopted kids as the bio kids.

If Angie is willing to keep full custody of the brats and Brad only sees them sometimes, I could see where Jen might take him back if the spark is still there. He's finally gotten the baby thing out of his system--with extreme prejudice. Also, it looks like the two Asian boys hate him and want nothing to do with him, so that's really only his 3 bio kids and Zahara to deal with. Within 7 years all of the kids will be legal age and Angie can't come begging for money on their behalf anymore, either.
