The reports come from Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholls, who cites sources that say Meghan wants an experience different to other royal wives who have come before her.

The exclusive maternity wing at St. Mary's hospital is where both Princess Diana and Kate Middleton gave birth to their children.

Both women stood on the steps of the hospital with their husbands as they introduced Princes William, Harry, George and Louis, as well as Princess Charlotte, to the public for the first time.

Nicholls suggests that due to their move to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may consider a hospital closer to home. Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, may also have a lot of influence on what happens.

"Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home," a source told Vanity Fair.

If the pair decide to go against tradition they might even consider a home birth, which surprisingly wouldn't be completely out of the realm of imagination for a royal.

There's info that is for the public domain, and there's info that in a battle, is never put out there because in the end it's going to do more damage to the person who released it, or who made the claim. People may be all excited about whatever Meghan says, and then she'll be judged for saying it, her body language will be analyzed, she'll be deemed a liar, more people will come out and say she's a fantasist.

I don't think she's ever been allowed near anything that is not Harry because people don't trust her and her phone. I'm a native Californian; in fact, I was living and working in downtown L.A. in late 2017, when news of Meghan Markle first broke via that letter to the press. My very first reactions were 1) pride that an American girlfriend seemed so cherished by Harry, and 2) a sort of impressed surprise that the British royal family was ready to support an interracial relationship. As others have posted here before, I initially admired Meghan. I also really admired Kate, and I assumed that Meghan, since Harry had chosen her, possessed similar qualities of tact, kindness, good taste, etc.

My first inkling that all was not right was her magazine cover and accompanying interview. This was pre-engagement, and I remember thinking that the British royal family would never have allowed Kate to do such a thing while she was dating William. I wondered how this had been approved, in light of the family's distaste for modern celebrity culture.

But it was the engagement interview that really changed my opinion of her. She came across as affected, slick, and manipulative. The way she bristled at the interviewer's innocuous comment about their "whirlwind" romance, and then pretended to be unsure of how long she and Harry had been dating, was illuminating.
