Candy corn cupcakes! Yum!
Simply Sara 🎃

I 💗 her cooking segments!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||10/30/2018|
Cute pumpkin in your thread title, OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||10/30/2018|
Sarah is a sweetheart, some of her recipes look delicious!
|by Anonymous||reply 3||10/30/2018|
... the jowls....
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/30/2018|
I can smell the stench of her obese fat-rolls from 1,000 miles away.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/30/2018|
She seems like a sweet person, but was surprised to see she was only 39. Thought she was well into her 40s.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/30/2018|
I'm sorry, but she'll be lucky if she gets far into her 40s
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/30/2018|
We HEART Sarah!
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/30/2018|
And we have yet another celebratory thread of someone who was reported to have voted for Trump/far right wingers.
I'll never understand the self hated in this community.
If a bigot is nice enough then they can get away with pretty much anything?
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/30/2018|
where is she located ., anyone know?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/30/2018|
R7 Sadly, probably true unless she makes a major changes in her way of eating and starting exercising.
She's apparently already had some major heath issues where she was hospitalized for months.
R9 Where was it reported she voted for Trump? She lives in an area that is largely pro-Trump, but she doesn't seem as mean-spirited as most of his supporters are.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/30/2018|
Why, she’s a walking toothpick!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/30/2018|
Did you see her counters? I was expecting her to toss the empty egg carton in their general vacinity.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/30/2018|
She’s a sweetie. Shame on r5.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/30/2018|
I can't watch her because she has such labored breathing.
I subscribe to this woman's cooking channel. A lot of her recipes are from my childhood & a lot are homemade versions of restaurant or take out dishes. She is delightful & her food is delicious but only in moderation. It's not healthy fare. In The Kitchen With Gina Young
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/30/2018|
I won't fat shame her but Jesus Christ, clean up your kitchen before you film ya filthy hog.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/30/2018|
"She's apparently already had some major heath issues"
Apparently? You can see her 'health issues' from Cleveland!
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/30/2018|
OMG....maybe she's Mobility Mary and just uses a diff voice in those vids???!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 18||10/30/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 19||10/30/2018|
How do we know she voted for Trump??
|by Anonymous||reply 20||10/30/2018|
** derp alert @ R24!! **
|by Anonymous||reply 21||10/30/2018|
oops, R20 not R24. DERP!
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/30/2018|
DERP yourself then!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||10/30/2018|
I'm going to get this out of the way since it'll be linked to by R21.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/30/2018|
There's already a BIG FAT thread for all the BIG FAT FRAU fans of this HUGELY OBESE FRAU TRASH.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||10/30/2018|
I was going to ask if she'd lost a bit of weight, but then I saw that the video is five years old, so pre- her pneumonia crisis and probably various other stages of decline.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||10/30/2018|
I was going to ask if she'd lost a bit of weight, but then I saw that the video is five years old, so pre- her pneumonia crisis and probably various other stages of decline.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||10/30/2018|
On her channel, Sarah thanks & gives credit to Avoir Chaud, a black man who appears to be gay.
That doesn't sound like a Trumptard/republican...
|by Anonymous||reply 28||10/30/2018|
Sara, not Sarah.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||10/30/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 30||10/30/2018|
An obese low-brow wanna-be celeb liking a closeted Black man? Totally fits a Trumperino profile
|by Anonymous||reply 31||10/30/2018|
Did you know Jenny Jones does a cooking show in her home on Youtube?
|by Anonymous||reply 32||10/30/2018|
What the fuck is your problem, R21? There is no proof she voted for Trump. Plenty of people in red states vote blue. Don”t be so stupid to assume. Go DERP* your mom ya fucking idiot.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||10/30/2018|
Fuck right off R33 and fucking learn to fucking read, you fucking cunt. Derp yourself right up your nasty derpy unclean ass.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||10/30/2018|
She seems like such a sweet lady. I just don't get why some of you queens feel the need to pick on her because of her size. How does that make you feel, really? Why can't you be nice to a nice person?
|by Anonymous||reply 35||10/30/2018|
R34 is triggered.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||10/30/2018|
I want to see Sara and Mobility Mary battle to the death on the mobility carts!
|by Anonymous||reply 37||10/30/2018|
I learned about Sara on here. I like her and have tried several of her savoury recipes.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||10/30/2018|
R36 is slow and doesn't understand DL.. OBVS! Keep trying to get up to speed R36. We know you can do it.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||10/30/2018|
R35 is new here. Probably a fat frau too.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||10/30/2018|
R34/39/R40 et al, are you OK?
Do you want to lie down for a minute? Turn the lights out? Would a cold compress help?
|by Anonymous||reply 41||10/30/2018|
Troll @R41 be gone!
|by Anonymous||reply 42||10/30/2018|
Kentucky I believe r10.
|by Anonymous||reply 43||10/30/2018|
Is R42 having a legit mental break?
|by Anonymous||reply 44||10/30/2018|
Sounds like R44 is....
|by Anonymous||reply 45||10/30/2018|
R10 / R43 West Virginia is the place most mentioned for her residence (unless she has since moved).
R28 Trump just "entertained" K. West in front of the media recently.
K.West is a known closeted gay black man in the NYC/South Florida circles Trump hangs out in but does that mean Trump is nice to us policy wise?
I don't think so.
Many right wing bigots say they have "gay friends" while voting to deny us equal rights. The Bush family comes to mind as the most well known example. Most of them stood by & said nothing when W advocated a Constitutional amendment against same sex marriages. Later on, daddy Bush went to a "lesbian friend's wedding" & Laura said she was fine with it AFTER her hubby couldn't run for the Oval Office again. Sara could be just like them in her views/actions about us.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||10/30/2018|
Sounds like R45 is
|by Anonymous||reply 47||10/30/2018|
Sounds like R47 is
|by Anonymous||reply 48||10/30/2018|
Why is R46 so invested in painting this docile Youtuber as a homophobic Trump supporter?
This whole thread is weird. Y’all are PRESSED.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||10/30/2018|
I only watched part of the linked video and that was enough, but she is brave putting herself out there. She must know people are going to be mean, so good for her, for doing her thing anyway.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||10/30/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 51||10/30/2018|
Cooking is Sara's forte. I like that she obviously buys good quality cookware. Sara is far more accomplished in cookery that most people. She knows her ingredients, and how to use them properly, and what to do if she doesn't have a particular ingredient. The girl knows her stuff and obviously has a very large bank for recipes she's experienced with.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||10/30/2018|
Everyone's having a breakdown because of the artificial dyes and sugar in Sara's candy corn cupcakes.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||10/30/2018|
Poor R49. In his mind, if someone is docile it prevents them from being anti-gay or a Trump supporter. It's like some kind of force field. With literally billions of votes cast in human history, no docile person around the world has ever voted to or advocated to suppress LGBT people. What a magical combination!
What a naive view of humanity to put out there.
Sorry I just can't buy it.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||10/30/2018|
Sara won't even use real garlic, one of the first things I noticed is she uses that shit from a jar.
She is a only a good cook for people who don't cook. A Sandra Lee type figure.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||10/30/2018|
Or Sara Lee.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||10/30/2018|
"good for her, for doing her thing anyway."
Yes, for exemplifying everything unhealthy and wrong with food and cooking, and being a GIANT poster child for morbid obesity.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||10/30/2018|
R47 definitely is
|by Anonymous||reply 58||10/30/2018|
Prove she voted for trump.
Prove she’s racist and anti gay.
If you can
|by Anonymous||reply 59||10/30/2018|
Or shut your yapping little dog mouth.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||10/30/2018|
110 in Palm Springs feels like 85 in Biloxi, Miss. They don't know what real heat is.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||10/30/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 62||10/30/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 63||10/30/2018|
Love ❤️ Sara
|by Anonymous||reply 64||10/30/2018|
I find myself mesmerized and fascinated by her much like that Kathy Mitchell on those kitchenware shows. its weird.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||10/30/2018|
The mailing address on her Youtube channel is a post-office box in Louisa, KY. That's a 5-minute drive from Wayne County, WV which she mentioned as her home in an older video. Due to my work, I often see medical statistics from that area and it is just dire.
Both states are already in a mess with diabetes and heart disease, but the two counties in question re: Sara rank at the bottom of their states — obesity rates much higher than the state average, lower rates of physical activity, higher rates of tooth loss, etc. The only things they do better in are binge drinking and smoking.
If anyone remembers the American version of Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, that's Sara's nearest "big city."
|by Anonymous||reply 66||10/30/2018|
Edward Norton drinking a Candy Corn Mojito on SNL.
|by Anonymous||reply 67||10/30/2018|
Why did the icing have that flour and milk mixture?
|by Anonymous||reply 68||10/30/2018|
I wouldn't any problem watching a cooking video of a morbidly obese person . Like if someone Gabourey Sidebe's size did one.
I can't watch Sara's videos because she is so breathless with labored breathing. I't makes me uncomfortable that she's going to fall out of something.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||10/30/2018|
Poor woman. She clearly experienced trauma and turned to food.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||10/30/2018|
Yawn. Call me when her face is plastered on supermarket shelves everywhere, OP.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||10/30/2018|
Sara’s YouTube channel is great fun for anybody who likes cooking or watching cooking shows. You don’t have to like or revere the stuff she cooks, but she’s well-meaning and pretty good at narrating a recipe. Her videos are completely apolitical. Stop injecting trump shit where it doesn’t belong.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||10/30/2018|
Sara, don’t let your cat get up there where you are making cupcakes.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||10/30/2018|
The “she’s a Trump supporter because I said so” troll is blocked. So is the weirdo having a meltdown over every other post.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||10/31/2018|
Being a fan of candy corn, I respect this. If I were POTUS, I would invite Sara to the White House to help prepare a White House picnic.
|by Anonymous||reply 75||10/31/2018|
She's very sweet and some of her recipes look good, but man someone should enroll her to weight watchers or something.
|by Anonymous||reply 76||10/31/2018|
r68 The cooked part of the frosting helps to keep it from separating/running if the temperature is too warm. One of the names for this unusual concoction is "ermine frosting," another is "high humidity buttercream."
|by Anonymous||reply 77||10/31/2018|
|by Anonymous||reply 78||10/31/2018|
I’m amazed that she’s married. What’s he look like?
I think Mobility Mary needs to met Simply Sara and learn some simple human kindness.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||10/31/2018|
I adore buttercream frosting. But I have never heard of cooking any part of it. I guess by participating in DL regularly, I will continue to learn valuable new things!
|by Anonymous||reply 80||10/31/2018|
Oh here we go again....someone (looking at R74)) got triggered and felt a compulsive need to announce exactly who upthread has been BLOCKED!. Perhaps she does not understand DL very well.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||10/31/2018|
R79, he's in the avatar for her YouTube channel.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||10/31/2018|
I have nothing against Sara, but her cooking looks like shit and her house looks dirty
|by Anonymous||reply 83||10/31/2018|
Her house does not look "dirty". Cluttered maybe, but not dirty.
|by Anonymous||reply 84||10/31/2018|
Sorry R84 but letting your cat jump up on the kitchen counters after it might have just come from a litter box
is in most people's eyes a big dirty no no.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||10/31/2018|
[quote]Did anyone else hear that fart lmfao
DL'er on YT
|by Anonymous||reply 86||10/31/2018|
I certainly wouldn't want this poor woman being attacked or bullied, but taking it to the other extreme is insane, too. She is morbidly obese and her health issues become our problem, too, due to the medical costs. Pretending people like her are just "happy" and we should leave them alone is a simpleton's answer. She is grotesquely obese and someone needs to help her. This is not normal. Her labored breathing and physical appearance is painful to witness.
|by Anonymous||reply 87||10/31/2018|
Sweet photo at r82
|by Anonymous||reply 88||10/31/2018|
I bet her shit is enormous
|by Anonymous||reply 89||10/31/2018|
I was going to respond as R77 did. This frosting has been around forever. It was the original frosting for red velvet cake. It's very good and a bit frugal, as it uses less butter and sugar than buttercream.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||10/31/2018|
Her kitchen is clean. What exactly is the difference between the cat being on a counter with no food. I don't see the problem.
|by Anonymous||reply 91||10/31/2018|
Cat hairs in the food is the problem.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||10/31/2018|
There’s more than enough for everyone!
|by Anonymous||reply 93||11/01/2018|
Sara is actually stick thin. She just wears a fat suit to make it appear she enjoys her cooking a little too much.
|by Anonymous||reply 94||11/01/2018|
I think Simply Sara is fun to watch, I personally probably wouldn't never make any of her receipts but at least she is putting her self out there and doing something.
I know that people were so rude in the comments on Youtube that she had to disable them at one point and also they were so nasty about her appearance that she had the camera stop showing her and instead it was always pointed at what she was doing with just her hands in the shot.
It's sad that people would be that cruel.
|by Anonymous||reply 95||11/01/2018|
Her vids get plenty of views - she has her fans. They must be monetized for the ads which play at the beginning of each vid, so she's banking a little coin as well. I'm impressed with all her kitchen gadgetry - she has a lot of stuff. I like the fact that she's doing her thing and doesn't care who might have a problem with her or her thing. On one video, she got into an argument with a person for the obvious reasons, and held her own. I would never make her recipes or eat them. Responsible cooking involves making things which taste good but are also healthy or at least not dangerous - she eats like this day after day. Not good. I watched her mac n cheese video and thought "so, she likes a little bit of pasta with her cheese." Again, WAY, WAY, WAY too much animal fat and sugar being consumed as a matter of course.
|by Anonymous||reply 96||11/01/2018|
She does have some really nice bowls and measuring spoons and such, but she needs to put it away when she's done! I thought there was going to be an avalanche of dishes behind her whenever they cut to a side angle and you could see the countertop behind her.
|by Anonymous||reply 97||11/01/2018|
Here's her husband in action, baking biscotti. Also seems quite the nice person.
|by Anonymous||reply 98||11/01/2018|
One of the things I like about Simply Sara is that there isn't anything about news or politics in her videos at all, at least not that I've seen. You can't say that about a lot of these cooking or housewife or organizing or decluttering videos. One I tried was called She's in Her Apron, and it pretended to be neutral and apolitical, but in the background you were seeing a lot of all right DVDs and books and videos, and it started to feel like a fundie instructional series for women.
|by Anonymous||reply 99||11/01/2018|
R35 People are fat people because they want to be fat. Sara should visit Dr. Now in Houston to get rid of the blubber.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||11/01/2018|
These are all reward dishes - food you eat when you splurge and eat whatever you like, maybe over one weekend. I'm fascinated by their food choices on a daily basis. I'm further fascinated by what must be their astronomical monthly grocery bill - they're spending some serious money on food. Anyone know their ages? They seem to be young.
|by Anonymous||reply 101||11/01/2018|
The cat was on the counter, not in the food or even on a surface where food touched. The cat didn't eat any of the food. Some people simply aren't so persnickety over their pets and realize that if a cat hair ends up in their food they're not going to die. Would I let a cat jump on my kitchen counters when I was cooking? No. But people with cats who wouldn't allow them on the counters when they were cooking have no idea what's going on at night when they're asleep and none of them wake up every morning and go wash off all the counter surfaces in their kitchens. Most people are only concerned with what they see. If they don't see it happening they're perfectly content to assume nothing bad happened. Outta sight, outta mind.
Sara and her hubby obviously are more rational than most about the cat being on the counter.
|by Anonymous||reply 102||11/01/2018|
What Sara needs most is is a huge pantry for all her culinary supplies. But I guess if she cooks like that every day, or even every week it's easier to just leave all the things she uses out for easy access.
|by Anonymous||reply 103||11/01/2018|
I hate cats, especially when they are in kitchens walking on top of the counters, grosses me out
|by Anonymous||reply 104||11/01/2018|
The messy kitchen looks nasty and is too distracting she needs a kitchen intervention. I kept looking at the way the curtain was draped around the window instead of watching her cook.
|by Anonymous||reply 105||11/01/2018|
She's a QVC whore. Much of her kitchen utensils/appliances are from QVC
|by Anonymous||reply 106||11/01/2018|
Sara is very sweet and we feel that we would be good friends if we met!
|by Anonymous||reply 107||11/01/2018|
R87 loves to help the obese by gossiping about them on datalounge.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||11/01/2018|
Does she have an amazon wishlist?
|by Anonymous||reply 109||11/01/2018|
That macaroni salad she made with the sweetened evaporated milk! All kinds of no.
|by Anonymous||reply 110||11/01/2018|
When I still had cats that could get up on the counters, I learned the hard way that they won't stop getting up there no matter what you do. My solution was to put a basket on the far corner of the counter, so my cats could sit there and watch or nap while staying out of the way. It worked really well and we rarely had an issue with cat hair in the food.
That said, I would put my cat in another room while taping a cooking segment, even if it was just for YouTube.
|by Anonymous||reply 111||11/01/2018|
People have mentioned that it looks like Sara lives in a "manufactured home" so there probably isn't a lot of storage space for all of her kitchen supplies and equipment. She still seems like a nice lady.
|by Anonymous||reply 112||11/01/2018|
I love how she says oil “ole”.
|by Anonymous||reply 113||11/01/2018|
She seems very sweet and you have to be a complete bastard not to like her but c’mon all these are cup cakes with food coloring and a few candy corns on top. Also I get confused some cooks say butter when they mean margarine. It looked like a stick of margarine to me.
|by Anonymous||reply 114||11/01/2018|
Could be one of those healthy butter/margarine choices, R114.
|by Anonymous||reply 115||11/01/2018|
She's big boned, that one.
|by Anonymous||reply 116||11/01/2018|
So thin, bitch.
|by Anonymous||reply 117||11/01/2018|
I too am fascinated by Kathy Mitchell of copperware fame. I think she is insane. Sara seems sweet. I like her.
|by Anonymous||reply 118||11/01/2018|
You can see more of the house in this one. They're already using every available space for storage.
There was a short period when she veered off into things that were popular with mug-cradlers — golden milk with homemade turmeric paste; cauliflower pizza crust; coconut flour waffles; egg roll in a bowl; cookies made with oat flour and bananas instead of wheat flour and sugar — but they got very few comments.
|by Anonymous||reply 119||11/01/2018|
They must make their living now doing youtube. You could make a lot of money doing that. Good for them.
|by Anonymous||reply 120||11/01/2018|
[quote]people with cats who wouldn't allow them on the counters when they were cooking have no idea what's going on at night when they're asleep.
My little niece and I watched The Secret Life of Pets 'twice', so believe me, we know.
|by Anonymous||reply 121||11/01/2018|
It is actually very hard to make a lot of money on YouTube r120, some people have managed but it isn't that easy. Sara's channel isn't going to net her a lot of money. She has no endorsement deals and her view count on her vids isn't *that* high.
That is why she has a patreon account to actually make some money.
|by Anonymous||reply 122||11/01/2018|
she could get a fucking job, too.
Oh, wait. Who the fuck would hire a blimp?
|by Anonymous||reply 123||11/01/2018|
Ohh, R122. I didn’t know.
|by Anonymous||reply 124||11/01/2018|
We're just amazed anyone would hire you R123. Considering how shitty customer service has become in this country I'm guessing you work in that field. You seem to have just the personality for it.
|by Anonymous||reply 125||11/01/2018|
One of her vids has over 1.2 M views. The others aren't as high in number, but she has the ads at the beginning of each vid which means she's getting paid.
|by Anonymous||reply 126||11/01/2018|
[quote]It is actually very hard to make a lot of money on YouTube [R120], some people have managed but it isn't that easy. Sara's channel isn't going to net her a lot of money. She has no endorsement deals and her view count on her vids isn't *that* high.
Apparently people used to make a pantload of money off of the youtube metrics, but then the company radically cut back on the earnings, throwing some people into a bit of a mini-crisis. For instance Maria of "gentlewhispering" used to support herself comfortably with the income, because her videos attract millions of hits, but now she can't, so she does brand advertising during the ASMR clips she makes to help make the difference.
On the one hand, I would not base my income on something as ephemeral as what Google tells me it will pay me -- I mean REALLY -- but on the other hand I do feel badly for the people who had an expectation that the earnings would, if anything, get even better, only to have Google completely stab them in the back like that, after some of these content providers helped YouTube become the cultural phenomenon it is.

Does Chrissy Metz need a stand-in or a body double?
|by Anonymous||reply 128||11/01/2018|
If that goober Roman Atwood can become a multi-millionaire mainly through his YouTube channel, anybody should be able to get rich. How that rube got 14 million subscribers is beyond me.
|by Anonymous||reply 129||11/02/2018|
I’ve never even heard of him. I stumbled onto Simply through Hungry Fat Chick (another one I love).
|by Anonymous||reply 130||11/02/2018|
Sara cooks Pad Thai. I love her but when she used that metal utensil scraping her nonstick pan out I almost cringed. Honey bun, you know better.
|by Anonymous||reply 131||11/02/2018|
R125, get off your high horse. I have complete respect for retail and restaurant workers (having been one for years before I got higher-paying less difficult jobs), and never use 'working class' as an insult, except for deluded Trump voters.
What this blimp is doing is asking for attention, and sharing horrible recipes. She's got it, BIGLY.
|by Anonymous||reply 132||11/02/2018|
And you're still a piece of shit R132. You've got it, BIGLY!
|by Anonymous||reply 133||11/02/2018|
Is that bigly tub or margarine in the back of R131?
|by Anonymous||reply 134||11/02/2018|
Yes, R133, your frau-fan outrage is duly noted. Keep adoring Sara and her starchy crap food recipes while you can. Her life expectancy is short.
|by Anonymous||reply 135||11/02/2018|
A bigly tub OF margarine.
|by Anonymous||reply 136||11/02/2018|
Your life expectancy is probably going to be short too R135. With your uppity shitty attitude someone is sure to beat you to death before you get old.
|by Anonymous||reply 137||11/02/2018|
That's right, R137; wish a violent death on a complete stranger for daring to criticize a morbidly obese YouTube celeb for sharing fattening non-nutritional recipes that contribute to illness nationwide.
You're an upstanding example of violent frau-types (no matter your gender) who will soon be caught on a cell phone while screaming at some minority for daring to cut you off in line at a WalMart.
Do you also bleach your hair, too? You'll join the group at this link soon enough.

She really needs to enunciate better also maybe look into some creative healthier options.
I'm really starting to think the sugar can really do a lot of damage to your body.
Bless her heart though....hun, if you are seeing this, don't let all the negative posts get to you. There are a bunch of vicious people who prey on others.
|by Anonymous||reply 143||11/02/2018|
She said “ole” quite a few times at R139. Or, “ohl”.
|by Anonymous||reply 144||11/02/2018|
She does use Splenda whenever it's possible. Some things simply won't work with Spenda, but at least she reduces her sugar intake when at all possible.
Her speech seems to be affected by her other health issues. Frankly, her weight problem does not appear to be all from overeating. She's come near death at least once. There are some drug therapies that cause a person to balloon up.
Frankly, she looks very much like Jerry Lewis when he got huge from the drug treatments he was receiving. It took a while but eventually his bloat decreased dramatically.
|by Anonymous||reply 145||11/02/2018|
[Quote] Frankly, her weight problem does not appear to be all from overeating.
Fucking christ, this is why we have an obesity epidemic. Yes her weight problem is from overeating dear, if you don't overrate you aren't going to be a fatfuck. It is very simple.
|by Anonymous||reply 146||11/02/2018|
I beg to differ. I knew a woman intimately years ago who would be considered morbidly obese. Her whole family was obese. I spent quite a bit of time with her, and from what I saw, she didn't eat any more than any other person. Obesity can be genetic, too.
|by Anonymous||reply 147||11/02/2018|
Now, THIS looks good!
|by Anonymous||reply 148||11/02/2018|
[quote] Yes her weight problem is from overeating dear,

|by Anonymous||reply 149||11/02/2018|
According to Miss Sarcasm Runner-Up, overeating (and literally showing the fatty foods she cooks and eats!) is a "puked up BS theory."
Miss Sarcasm Runner-Up $149 also believes the earth is flat and Jeebus is coming for The rapture thanks to Trump, who is of course, the Antichrist.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||11/02/2018|
And Miss Asshole Winner thinks whatever she says is fact. Face it Toots, no one cares what you think, so go piss up a rope.
|by Anonymous||reply 151||11/02/2018|
Yes the science isn't real society thinks being fat has nothing to do with much you eat. Why because r147 didn't see their friend pig out in front of them it means they ate like always ate like a bird.
How many calories you take in versus how many your burn, but whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night.
|by Anonymous||reply 152||11/02/2018|
Thanks for the effort, R152.
Next time get some help with your typing; a human, perhaps?
|by Anonymous||reply 153||11/02/2018|
Okay. To be fair, we must assume that Sara is in fact eating her own cooking - and plenty of it. That's okay. Even if she didn't eat much of what she cooks, she would still suffer weight gain because everything she cooks is not just fattening, but EXTREMELY fattening. Upthread is a posted video of her husband cooking biscotti, and he too is overweight. She's consuming a hell of a lot of calories on a daily basis. I saw in the comments section of one of her videos that she had a bit of back and forth with a person who commented about her weight. She made it clear that she felt sorry for skinny people for being skinny. To coin her own phrase "There you have it!"
|by Anonymous||reply 154||11/02/2018|
And if she's morbidly obese because of overeating she has every right to eat like a pig if she wants to. Maybe she's a food addict? Who knows. But if she is maybe she's made the decision that she doesn't want to go through life hungry all the time and having to eat food she doesn't like. It's her life. Let her live it the way she wants to. If you don't like her then don't watch her videos. But don't act like you're better than her because you're not fat. Because you're not.
|by Anonymous||reply 155||11/02/2018|
We're better than you, R155.
|by Anonymous||reply 156||11/02/2018|
"But don't act like you're better than her "
But we are, Blanche. We are better than her.
|by Anonymous||reply 157||11/02/2018|
Never trust a skinny cook.
|by Anonymous||reply 158||11/02/2018|
There's a whole scale of gradations between "being hungry all the time" and being so morbidly, wheezingly obese that your fingers look inflated.
|by Anonymous||reply 159||11/02/2018|
I do give her credit that she doesn't let her looks stop her from putting herself out there, and she does seem very sweet. There is something very soothing and addictive about watching her.

|by Anonymous||reply 163||11/02/2018|
We assume they eat like this every day when in fact it's entirely possible the only time all this food comes out is when she films an episode for her YouTube channel. She has over 100k subscribers so she may be making some money with that channel. If that's the situation then all that food, all those spices, all the nice cookware, is all a business expense. Frankly, I think if they ate like this every day they'd both already be dead from clogged arteries. And I don't even want to think about the horrendous constipation problem.
|by Anonymous||reply 164||11/03/2018|
They probably dodge that income since they're no doubt on welfare, too.
|by Anonymous||reply 165||11/03/2018|
I think she's adorable.
|by Anonymous||reply 166||11/03/2018|
I don't believe they have any children. You have to have children to be on welfare R165. And you can't dodge YouTube income. I'm sure YouTube sends a 1099 to the channel owner and to the IRS that reports all payments made. If they tried to dodge it the IRS would have come for them long ago.
|by Anonymous||reply 167||11/03/2018|
The obsession some of you have with her weight is more than a bit odd.
|by Anonymous||reply 168||11/03/2018|
I agree that her weight doesn't seem entirely from overeating -- her face and neck are not proportionate to her body.
One of the main problems with obesity is that, if there is another health condition in the mix, it can prevent someone from losing weight even if they try. If she has reduced lung capacity or chronic upper respiratory issues, she'd need significant care from a specialist to lose weight, and she probably doesn't have the insurance to cover it all.
I'm a great big fat person who lost 70 lbs, but then gained it all back in a hot second after being injured in two accidents a couple years ago. It took surgery and months of physical therapy, much of which I did after watching YouTube videos because I couldn't afford to keep going to actual sessions, before I could start losing that weight again. After a year, I've only lost 30 lbs of that 70 I regained. I can't even imagine how impossible that would have been if I'd had something more serious like Sara apparently did.
|by Anonymous||reply 169||11/03/2018|
[quote]There is something very soothing and addictive about watching her.
She comes across as a mother figure, what do moms do they feed you and nurture you. I think her videos have that vibe.
|by Anonymous||reply 170||11/03/2018|
Her vegetable pasta fagioli looks pretty good. I've been looking for a way to use up some extra vegetable broth I bought, maybe I'll make this.
|by Anonymous||reply 171||11/03/2018|
I've posted several comments about her weight upthread, but I meant no harm or disrespect to her with those comments. In the final analysis, I deduce that a) Sara has always been overweight genetically b) Her diet is extremely fattening/calorie laden and c)She does, in fact, eat like this every day. It's her business. I only commented in relation to her health, and I certainly wouldn't ridicule her for being obese. At the ending of one of her videos, she sweetly tells her viewing audience "I'll probably be in the kitchen!" She lives in that kitchen because she's doing what she loves to do. She's a Domestic Goddess - a lesser Martha Stewart if you will. Some people work on cars and others are into crafting or working with wood. Sara's thing is cooking and other home related activity. Let's all just appreciate her seemingly sweet good nature, as well as her entertainment value - I agree that her videos are somewhat "addictive." Good day to all.
|by Anonymous||reply 172||11/03/2018|
People need to take a live and let live approach to everyone else. It's her life to live as she sees fit. She seems quite happy so who are we do decide she needs to change. Her weight issues do not cause anyone else any problems.

|by Anonymous||reply 177||11/05/2018|
Her cooking may not be healthy, but I like how she experiments with different cuisines and flavors in addition to the Paula Deen–style stuff.
The one recipe that I *wouldn't* try is the macaroni salad with the Eagle Brand milk and heaping cups of sugar, which is a WTF for me.

Do you think she has any gay friends? I’m sure she would, since she seems so sweet, and probably has an understanding of how it feels to be different and ridiculed for it. I could see her going out of her way to stay close to a gay relative that the extended family rejected, or befriending the neighbor couple that the rest of the town taunts or shuns.
|by Anonymous||reply 189||11/07/2018|
Both her and her husband seem that way, R189
|by Anonymous||reply 190||11/07/2018|
Believe it or not, but every small southern town has their gays who live happy lives there and aren't mistreated by others. I have no doubt that Sara would be a very good friend to a gay guy.
|by Anonymous||reply 191||11/07/2018|
In another thread a poster said that she was close to a black gay cook (if memory serves me well) who also has a youtube channel. Don't remember the specifics though.

I find her videos soothing, and she does have some good stuff occasionally. She's sweet. I feel about her as I did Anna Nicole--I'd love to swoop in and help set her life on a healthier course.
If she's happy, I'm happy, but I hate watching obese people struggle with little things--like breathing, mobility, etc.

I went to school with a kid back in the 60's who got a kidney transplant. After she came back to school she started to balloon like mad. Her face looked very similar to Sara's, like it was about to pop. One of my teachers finally told me one day that she was one some sort of drug that cause that to happen and that it was temporary. It took a long time (more than a year or so) but the swelling in her body eventually went away. I have to wonder if Sara isn't on some sort of similar drug. Her weight issues do not look food related. She may like to eat, but her neck wouldn't swell like that. I'm betting she has some sort of kidney problems.
If that's the case she really should share it with her viewers who are concerned for her and think she's just a glutton.

|by Anonymous||reply 201||11/08/2018|
I remember a year or so back she was off line for months at one point apparently suffering from some sort of very serious health problem. More and more it's looking like her problems are far more than food related.

Flour Buttercream Recipe
This buttercream is light, fluffy, and delicious. It is made by first cooking a simple pudding made with milk, sugar and flour. Once this pudding base has cooled to room temperature, you add it to beaten butter by the spoonful. The result? A smooth, light buttercream with a pale ivory color.
Although this buttercream is hardly any more difficult to make than Classic American Buttercream, it's less sweet and more subtle in flavor.
Why this recipe works:
By whisking the flour into the sugar before adding the milk, you minimize the risk of getting flour lumps in the pudding base. By dissolving the sugar into the milk, the buttercream is guaranteed to be creamy and smooth! No sugar crystals crunching between your teeth. By first beating the softened butter until it's light and fluffy and then adding the pudding base one spoonful at a time, the buttercream comes together very easily.
Note: You can make this buttercream allergy-friendly by using gluten-free flour instead of the all-purpose, and also lactose-free milk. No lactose, no eggs, no gluten!
4 1/2 tablespoons (1.4 ounces) all-purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup whole milk 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cubed and softened at room temperature 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt
Whisk together flour and sugar in a medium saucepan. Whisk in milk. Place saucepan over low heat and bring to a boil, whisking continuously, then cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Pour the pudding onto a clean heatproof plate or shallow container. Immediately cover it with plastic wrap, pressing the plastic wrap directly against the pudding's surface.
In a stand mixer fitted with the whisk or paddle, or in a mixing bowl if using a handheld mixer, beat the butter until smooth and fluffy and lightened in color, about 2 minutes. Add the cooled pudding one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla and salt and beat until buttercream looks thick, smooth, and creamy, about 3 minutes
Use immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container or a zipper-lock bag for up to one week. To use buttercream that has been refrigerated, first allow to come to room temperature then beat until smooth and spreadable again. Cakes or cupcakes decorated with buttercream generally keep up to 3 days, stored in an airtight container in the fridge. Serve buttercream at room temperature.

If I had to guess, I’d say that Sarah has PCOS and insulin resistance. She’s probably on prednisone, because that stuffed-looking “moon face” is a side effect.

Her chin is expanding. But she seems less out of breath from simply talking like before.

How can people let themselves go like this?! I weigh 155 pounds and I'm on a strict diet right now but I already feel very Karen Carpenter-ish looking at this creature.

She's gross I can't watch her I'm 5 lbs. overweight and I feel like a beast I can't imagine how she feels.

She's a nice lady tho so that's all that matters.

You would think that with such a chin Simply Sara would try to avoid low angle shots like the plague so that the downward looking face does not push up the spare tyre around her neck and make her look like a frill-neck lizard, but nope, she can't help it!

I just find her so soothing. I wish she wasn't morbidly obese.
I would love to listen to her talk about life happenings.

That's part of the appeal, if she was a normal size no one would have cared.

Sara's motto: "you can always add more if you like."

That thread is hilarious.

Um, how come we haven't addressed the elephant in the room?
|by Anonymous||reply 274||04/08/2019|
Damn. Tea tree oil is no joke. You can't ingest that shit!
|by Anonymous||reply 275||04/08/2019|
Can she come visit us? We would make her our queen!
|by Anonymous||reply 276||04/08/2019|
R275 I am sure poor dear Sara is a MLMer and many of them ingest the essential oils they hawk.

^ Yep, she does Facebook Live streams where she shills Paparazzi jewelry.

I find her soothing too, and very pleasant. I don't mind her size. I don't judge her or anyone by that. I just hope she's healthy and able to stay that way. Some very overweight people are healthier than some very thin ones of the same age.

I came across an interesting 'chef' this morning on You Tube. A young man preparing food in the field, using ingredients grown or raised nearby in his village. I don't know where this village is located. He uses many of my favorite ingredients -
No pretentiousness, just good food. I'm reminded of the absurdity of some people paying $500 for a meal at these pompous restaurants like Alinea in Chicago, and watching him prepare hearty tasteful food with good simple ingredients is what 'dining' is all about.

She's vegetarian now after another near-death experience last summer and someone in the comments posted that she has lost 80 lbs. Her face does look a little different, but it's hard to tell.
Unfortunately, she hasn't really changed the way she cooks; she's relying on junk like canned fake tuna and frozen Morningstar crumbles.

Yeah, R282, it's like people who eat vegan cookies or gluten free cake.
She gets very little nutrition but she lives in a food desert. I've watched a video where she answers questions. The next town over has a grocery store and a Dollar General.
About 2 hours away are more supermarkets. I think Walmart is 1 hr from her.

That's wonderful, R282—you can actually see a chin emerging there.
Maybe we can send her suggestions for healthier vegetarian recipes with fewer processed ingredients?

At 5:20 her husband says she has lost over seventy pounds and he’s lost over sixty. It was posted on March 20th, so eighty sounds about right. Good for them.
She’s starting to get a neck now; the sides are sucking in.

Wow that's great

I think there is a cute and adorable girl in there.
