"This man (Trump) is my Super Hero."
"If he don't look good, we don't look good." Kanye West talking about Trump
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 11, 2018 5:22 PM |
I'm just watching him rant and gesticulate with the sound off. He, at least, looks like a raving loon. He hasn't stopped talking in quite some time. I caught the CC when he said "I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder" No shit. Trump is sitting there stony faced, but apparently listening. I'll have to read a recap because I'm too embarrassed to turn the sound on. I wonder what Trump's base thinks of him. That he's talking some sense or that he fulfills black stereotypes.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 11, 2018 5:24 PM |
Thanks, OP. I have MSNBC on mute.
I'd rather read the re-cap by DLers than have to actually listen to both him and Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 11, 2018 5:24 PM |
OP's pic should be the national poster for mental illness. They both look (and are) insane.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 11, 2018 5:24 PM |
I am wondering how this will play with the racist deplorables, I know they think Trump can do no wrong but this might be a step to far for some of them. A black rapper married to a Kardashian, but I guess as long as he likes Trump they will be fine with it, just like they are with everything else the orange turd does.

Velshi cracked me up. He waves his arms around saying "Wooow. (pause) I'm doing this so everyone at home can turn their volume back up." Ruhle: "If you want and deep and thoughtful political analysis, you're not going to get it. That was an assault on our White House" Velshi "We can't even analyze some of the stuff that was said."

We all knew he was fucked when he got with the k-trash. Drumpf has been fucked from birth.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 11, 2018 5:47 PM |
r8 According to Kanye, he went off his meds. He gave some nonsense about his bipolar being a superpower. He is legit insane (but so is everything associated with the Trump administration).
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 11, 2018 5:52 PM |
Of course, a more cynical take on this is that Trump arranged the meeting knowing how wacky it would be in order to take the news focus off the Saudis.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 11, 2018 5:54 PM |
Trump on possibility of punishing Saudi Arabia for apparently murdering a dissident journalist: "I don't like stopping massive amounts of money that's being poured into our country... they are spending $110b on military equipment and on things that create jobs for this country."
Well, so much for Graham's "bipartisan tsunami" punishment for Saudi.

Excerpt:
KANYE WEST:
And really, the reason why they imprisoned him is because he started doing positive for the community. He started showing that he actually had power, that he wasn't just one of a monolithic voice, but he could wrap people around. So there's theories that there's infinite amounts of universe, and there's alternate universe, so it's very important for me to get Hoover out because in an alternate universe I am him, and I have to go and get him free. Because he was doing positive inside of Chicago just like I'm moving back to Chicago and it's not just about, you know, getting on stage and being an entertainer and having a monolithic voice that's forced to be a specific party. You know, people expect that if you're black, you have to be Democrat. I have a – I have conversations that basically said that welfare is the reason why a lot of black people end up being Democrat. They say, you know, first of all, it's a limit to amount of jobs. So the fathers lose the jobs, and they say, "We'll give you more money for having more kids in your home." And then we got rid of the mental health institutes in the '80s and the '90s, and the prison rates just shot up. And now you have Chi-raq, what people call Chi-raq – which is actually, our murder rate is going down by 20 per cent every year. I just talked to the superintendent, met with Michael Sacks, that's Rahm's right-hand man. So I think it's the bravery that helps you beat this game called life. You know, they tried to scare me to not wear this hat. My own friends. But this hat, it gives me – it gives me power in a way. You know, my dad and my mom separated, so I didn't have a lot of male energy in my home. And also, I'm married to a family that, uh, you know, not a lot of male energy going on. It's beautiful, though. But there's times where, you know, it's something about, you know – I love Hillary. I love everyone, right?

Excerpt continuation:
KANYE WEST:
But the campaign, "I'm with her," just didn't make me feel, as a guy that didn't get to see my dad all the time, like a guy that could play catch with his son. It was something about, when I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman. You made a Superman – that's my favorite super hero. And you made a Superman cape for me. Also as a guy that looks up to you, looks up to Ralph Lauren, looks up to American industry guys, non-political, no bulls**t – put the beep on it, however you want to do it, five seconds delay – and just goes in and gets it done. Right now, you gave me the heart to go to Adidas. Because at Adidas, when I went in in 2015, we're a $14 billion company losing $2 billion a year. Now we have a $38 billion market cap. It's called the "Yeezy Effect." And I went to Casper. We had a meeting in Chicago. And I said, "You have to bring manufacturing onshore." And not even shore. Into the core! It's not about the borders, the core of Adidas. And Chicago is the core of middle America, and we have to make middle America strong. So I had the balls, because I had enough the balls to put on this hat. I mean, this Adidas thing made me a billionaire, and I could have lost $200 million walking away from that deal. But even with that, I knew it was more important for me to take the chance of walking away from that deal than to have no fathers in Chicago, with no homes. And when we do have prison reformation, for no – because it's habilitation, not rehabilitation, because we didn't have the abilities in the first place. We never had anyone who taught us. They didn't teach us. And exactly: "We didn't have no one that taught us," right? So it's more important than any specific deal, anything, that we bring jobs into America. And that we provide a transition with mental health and the American education curriculum that Jim has worked on, Larry Hoover also has a curriculum that he's worked on. We have Montessori curriculums that we worked on. WeWorks has a beautiful curriculum. The Waldorf establishment has a curriculum. We have meditation. There's a lot of things affecting our mental health that makes us do crazy things, that puts us back into that trap door called the 13th Amendment. I did say "abolish," with the hat on. Because why would you keep something around that's a trap door? If you're building a floor, the Constitution is the base of our industry, right? Of our country, of our company. Would you build a trap door that if you mess up and you accidentally, something happens, you fall and you end up next to the Unabomber? You end up – you've got to remove all that trap door out of the relationship. The four gentleman that wrote the 13th Amendment? And I think the way the universe works, it's perfect. We don't have 13 floors, do we? You know, so the four gentlemen that wrote the 13th Amendment didn't look like the people they were amending. Also, at that point it was illegal for blacks to read, or African-Americans to read, and so that meant if you actually read the amendment, you'd get locked up!

"There was, of course, a time years ago when Trump’s attitude toward West more closely tracked with Obama’s.
In 2009, the day after West’s infamous stunt against Taylor Swift at the VMAs, TMZ caught up with the then reality-TV star and future president for his thoughts. Trump told TMZ that West’s conduct was “disgusting,” and actually advocated boycotting West “so this kind of thing doesn’t happen” anymore. “He couldn’t care less about Beyoncé,” Trump continued. “It was grandstanding to get attention.”
The following year, the award-winning rapper released a 2010 song titled, “So Appalled,” which includes the line, “Donald Trump takin’ dollars from y’all.”
The pair have come a long way in the span of eight years. Indeed, a source close to Trump told The Daily Beast this week that the president “lights up” nowadays when privately talking about West’s support and the A-list friendship and what it is supposedly doing for him and the black vote."

That quote's rich, R121. West isn't A-list anymore - people know he's a crazy nutjob and joke. And his friendship with Trump is doing NOTHING for him and the black vote. Black people aren't going to vote for Trump because crazy-ass Kanye supports him.

Kanye obviously has mental issues and that's why his political views steer him to Trump
by Anonymous | reply 123 | October 12, 2018 2:44 AM |
Same reason why Roseanne's views steer towards Trump too, R123.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | October 12, 2018 2:45 AM |
His verbal diarrhea is the tell-tale sign of mental problems.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | October 12, 2018 2:46 AM |
I have bipolar disorder and I am not out there ranting like a lunatic and endorsing a dangerous arsehole like Trump. Mental Illness is not an excuse. Kanye is an uneducated egomaniac and doesn't deserve any sympathy in this situation.

It’s called hyper-verbal

Since Kanye handled himself well, it’s a win win.

A black man has an opinion it doesn’t conform with your views MUST be mentally ill.
Think about that.
You have removed his agency, belittled him and shown your own ignorance.
Attitude like that is what is killing any chance of a House win in 26 days.

R129, Um, read what he said. It's stream-of-consciousness shit that makes no sense. He's off his med. Mentally normal people don't talk like that
by Anonymous | reply 131 | October 12, 2018 3:09 AM |
R126, there are many levels of control of bipolar disease. It could be that his meds are off or he stopped taking his meds.
Kanye needs healthcare, that's obvious

Knowing that their only news source is FOX/Faux News I made sure they knew about this. So I posted on a few of their sites I was disappointed in Trump and don't like that he supports interracial marriages and hangs out with black people and that he was entertaining them in the Oval Office no less. I know how much the deplorables hate both so I figured I would put it out there and stir the pot, knowing they disapprove of interracial marriages and hate black people. I ended the post with "I want my vote back." No replies as of yet. I expect to get slammed and banned. I don't care. I am not a member of their sites I just wanted to get them riled up and make sure they didn't get some half-assed twisted version of the truth from their only news source.

Kanye West = Howard Beale.
Paddy Chayefsky really had his pulse on the future with "Network".
The only difference is that in "Network" there was an executive who thought it was disgusting to use a mentally unhinged man as a ratings grabber.

Today, you could see the center of the vortex of Donald’s hairdo. The vortex is supposed to be hidden. Also, the center of the vortex was white; it should be orange!

I love how his refusal to buy into the victim narrative is called “mental illness”.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | October 12, 2018 4:29 AM |
They should archive that video as textbook behavior during a bipolar episode.

Trump has a golf course in Scotland. He knows what the backwards "V" sign means.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | October 12, 2018 5:47 AM |
R140, dear, Kanye didn't buy into a "victim mentality" when he was younger, more successful and less crazy. Now he is a bi-polar mess, off of his meds and having a full-blown manic episode in the Oval Office.
It's not a good look and it leads to suicide more often than it leads to great appearances on the campaign trail for Fat Fucks.

You gotta love the late Leonard Cohen. He wrote a poem titled "“Kanye West is Not Picasso.” It's in a new book that was released posthumously.
Cohen, telling it like it is...even from the grave.

The first thing I thought of when Kanye hugged him was that tRump wouldn't want his hair messed up, also wouldn't want his makeup smudged off.

I want to see pictures of Trump’s tanning bed. He definitely used it today - he had the telltale goggle circles around his eyes.
How sad is it that our 80 year old tub-o-lard President regularly tans himself.?
I can just picture him - a big sack of shit in a Speedo and goggles- listening to Fox and Friends - tuning up his “tan”. Tragic.

Here's how I see this: manic Kanye wants to one-up Kimye because she waddled into the center oval and got the orange clown circus master to 'free' some woman for the publicity. Men who compete with their women are letting you know the condition of the relationship. This bid failed, btw, and badly. He's looking more and more like a lost cause and a liability for a family only interested in the bottom line. And I mean bottom, har har.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | October 12, 2018 3:43 PM |
Shameful .... in the oval office dressed like that and using such gross language .. barely speaking english ... "if he DON'T look good" .... motherfucker and then called Trump "Bro" at one point ... fucking gross.

Sad, really.

SINCE WHEN DOES A WHORE EVER HAVE SUCH HUMAN EMOTIONS?... a mentally ill whore and thug, what a pair!.... and laughing at their "admirers and fans" for making them famous and rich and said fans and admirers "don't get it"????

If you are not embarrassed or ashamed of someone taking advantage of the lunatic you're married to, why talk about it?
by Anonymous | reply 168 | October 14, 2018 3:04 PM |
Because r168, the Kardashians have monetized what Oscar Wilde said:
" There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
It's just simple. And just that pathetic.
by Anonymous | reply 169 | October 14, 2018 3:13 PM |
Yep, that's just how the K's work, Della, and I was also pointing out the use of language as a 'tell'. Of all the millions of things she can talk about, she chooses this. That family is as adept at NOT talking as they are with the 'all publicity is good publicity' grifting mill of a life they live. We're living in strange times when this sort of thing is grist for our mills.
I feel sad for those kids and this man. He's having a nervous breakdown again and I hope he gets the help he needs instead of being continual fodder for the publicity machine around him.
by Anonymous | reply 170 | October 14, 2018 3:20 PM |
Agreed, r170
"We're living in strange times when this sort of thing is grist for our mills."
I have to laugh at myself. I get the contradiction of being offended by the whole Kanye & Kim thing, while, simultaneously, commenting on it.
And, it's worse: I don't know if I'm the grist, the mill, or both.
