FEAR OF FLYING !
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 27, 2018 10:35 PM |
Now they are arguing about THE LETTER.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 27, 2018 10:35 PM |
R1... She looks like she smelled a stinky fart.. probably by Kav, with his unhinged nerves.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 27, 2018 10:35 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 27, 2018 10:35 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
Harris now...
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
Here comes Harris
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
wtf has this to do with anything?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
This is like edging my cock for nine hours...only the release is a letdown.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
This is killing me. THIS is why women don’t come forward.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
HARRIS FOR THE KILL!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
The grimacing, the tightly drawn lips, the interruptions, the making faces, the passing notes, the fake doodling with the sharpie, and the inability to sit still, and the CONSTANT WATER DRINKING (what's he had now, about 6 liters?)
All indicative of a lying, evasive, substance abusing DICK.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
I am here for Harris
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
BRING IT HOME, KAMALA!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 27, 2018 10:36 PM |
His blinking tic went into overdrive when he agreed to a polygraph test. He's so douchy.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 27, 2018 10:37 PM |
And I thought that the Kav part of this hearing would be shorter than the Ford part.
Wrong once again.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 27, 2018 10:37 PM |
Ask him to say YES OR NO!!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 27, 2018 10:37 PM |
Kamala: "So I'm gonna ask you one more time. And you better have the right answer muthafucka!"
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 27, 2018 10:37 PM |
I hate both of my senators with the heat of a million suns.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 27, 2018 10:38 PM |
Damn, she can be a real bitch.
Glad she's on our side.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 27, 2018 10:38 PM |
She just did
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 27, 2018 10:38 PM |
YES OR NO !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 27, 2018 10:38 PM |
I'll take that as a no! And he didn't argue her conclusion.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
The Committee will approve him on party lines, that’s obvious. Probably tomorrow. What’s still up is what the full Senate does, and that’s down to Collins and Murkowski, and maybe Flake and Corker, and how they respond to this hearing, and the other 2 accusers.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
[quote]I hate both of my senators with the heat of a million suns.—Texan

he looks so fucking uncomfortable. if he were clean he wouldnt be.
what's with the sniffing too.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
They need to say to Kavanaugh, unless you are willing to answer in the affirmative, they we have to consider your answer a no.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
She can be a bitch but she is all business and tough
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
Now you know damned well that if it was someone else in HIS court purposely evading questions as he is doing today, he'd throw the whole fucking law library at them
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
What does "ranking" mean in reference to Feinstein?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 27, 2018 10:39 PM |
Kav's not so smug and argumentive now, is he? She's got him rattled.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 27, 2018 10:40 PM |
Great question with the parallelism with Gorstch.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 27, 2018 10:40 PM |
We need more Kamalas
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 27, 2018 10:40 PM |
What is Alyssa Milano doing in the audience?

A friend said he was sobbing yet their were no tears. The only moisture on his face was sweat. Is this true?

KAV IS WASTING DEM TIME NOW.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 27, 2018 10:40 PM |
She’s has seniority, R36.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
"ranking" means she is the top Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
She is the most senior member of the minority party.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
Here is fake Flake
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
How well do you think Harris did? Anyone?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
Ms. Harris is up! Here it goes:
1. Have you taken a polygraph?
- They are not admissible.
2. All 3 of the women have made sworn allegations against you have called for FBI investigations. You've been asked 8 times if you'd authorize an FBI investigation. Each time you declined. I'm going to ask you one last time - will you ask the WH to have the FBI investigate you?
- I'll do what the committee wants.
2a. No, I heard you say that already. I am asking about the FBI bitch.
- The FBI would gather witness statements...
2b. I am not debating the FBI's process with you. Are you willing to ask the WH to do it - yes or no.
- I had 6 background investigations over many years.
2c. Are you willing to do it?
- The witness statements...
2d. Ok that's a no - moving on.
3. Neil Gorsuch was nominated by this president. You're both very similar, except for the charge of sexual assault. How do you claim there is a conspiracy against you when we let Gorsuch through
- Already explained in my opening statement.
4. Can men be friends with some women and treat other women badly?
- Of course, but the point I've been emphasizing is that if you go back to age 14 for me, you will find lots of people I've been friends with (women) who talked about my friendships with them and it's a consistent pattern. 65 women who knew me over 35 yrs ago signed a letter to support me because they know me. I've sent more women to the supreme court than anyone else.
5. Did you watch Dr. Ford's testimony?
- I did not. I plan to. I was preparing mine.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 27, 2018 10:41 PM |
Love to Kamala!!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
You were saying about that signed letter of support, Brett?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
She could have been much stronger.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
I love Kamala , kamala/beto 2020?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
Love Harris. The Kamala pose. “You lying piece of shit.” pose.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
Harris' face and demeanor spoke more than her mouth did - her look said it all "You're full of shit, Judge"
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
She did OK in my view, but no KO.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
So Flake just laid the ground work for confirmation. We are all flawed.....
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
Everytime I see Flake's face, I want to throw a hard right punch at his nose to straighten it out. Never more than right now.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
I think she did well, r47. It is perfectly clear that he does NOT want the FBI to investigate under any circumstances.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
She didn't do anything, R47. She just sat there at the end and made a bitch face while he went on.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |
2nd R52.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 27, 2018 10:42 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 69 | September 27, 2018 10:43 PM |
In United States politics, a ranking member is the most senior member of a congressional or state legislative committee from the minority party. On many committees the ranking minority member, along with the chairman, serve as ex officio members of all of the committee's subcommittees.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | September 27, 2018 10:43 PM |
I can hear Flake now, "I have examined my conscience and I cannot condemn my fellow Man."
by Anonymous | reply 71 | September 27, 2018 10:43 PM |
Now GOD gets brought into this.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | September 27, 2018 10:43 PM |
She pointed out the obvious that needed to pointed out: you can be friends with some women and treat others like shit.... just like you can be great with some kids, and molest others. Just because didn't rape or molest every person you came into contact with doesn't mean you didn't do it!
by Anonymous | reply 73 | September 27, 2018 10:44 PM |
So tired of God....as If you say that you believe, you are innocent. A man of faith never sins....fuck you!
by Anonymous | reply 74 | September 27, 2018 10:44 PM |
Politico is saying Trump is loving his angry defiance. They’re going to back him and he’s going to get through. Kamala was nothing spectacular. We really don’t have anyone. Christ, we are FUCKED if thisnis what we have to look forward to in 2020.

God's embarrassed to be brought into this.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | September 27, 2018 10:44 PM |
I'm not sure which was Flake is going to go... This idea of doubt I think favours him voting against.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | September 27, 2018 10:45 PM |
There is no god. Only people that try to believe in god. WTF does believing in god have to do with anything?

by Anonymous | reply 90 | September 27, 2018 10:46 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 91 | September 27, 2018 10:46 PM |
r87, it's over.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | September 27, 2018 10:46 PM |
Most people will only see clips of testimony from both. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | September 27, 2018 10:46 PM |
What's the most painless way to end it all?
by Anonymous | reply 94 | September 27, 2018 10:47 PM |

So nothing changes, am I correct?
Repugs will vote him in, Dems will be angry, and we'll all continue to hate each other.
Protests, Protests, Protests.
Midterms will come along, one side will complain about voting interference, and we move on.
And fucking Dump is still in the WH.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | September 27, 2018 10:47 PM |
Just another day at the office for the repubs. He'll be confirmed in the morning.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | September 27, 2018 10:47 PM |
The only opinions that really matter are Senators Flake, Corker, Collin, Murkowski, and a few Democratic Senators in states Trump won who are up for re-election like Donnelly, Manchin, Testor.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | September 27, 2018 10:47 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 107 | September 27, 2018 10:49 PM |
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him. His testimony was powerful, honest, and riveting. Democrats’ search and destroy strategy is disgraceful and this process has been a total sham and effort to delay, obstruct, and resist. The Senate must vote!

by Anonymous | reply 109 | September 27, 2018 10:49 PM |
Flake totally gave his excuse as to why he will vote to confirm tomorrow. "We are all flawed and imperfect...."
by Anonymous | reply 110 | September 27, 2018 10:49 PM |
... but did he pinky swear... that's what really counts.
by Anonymous | reply 111 | September 27, 2018 10:49 PM |
Harris should've interrupted him.
by Anonymous | reply 112 | September 27, 2018 10:49 PM |
I just wanted to say that threatening violence just makes us look bad at this point, as does the casual racism on display. In fact, I don't believe it is because as a troll, I recognize other trolls and this thread is full of them.
The democrats are doing respectable, I'm glad they're not hysterical. If this country goes down, none of them can stop it anyway. History will at least remember who started the fall of the American Empire and it won't be us.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | September 27, 2018 10:50 PM |
Why if the committee is 21 members were there not 21 senators there?

Interesting...
"Fox News host Chris Wallace said Thursday that two of his daughters revealed in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh that they endured previously undisclosed incidents when they were in high school.
"Wallace said his daughters brought up their experiences as the family was discussing the allegations against Kavanaugh over email.
"[They] hadn't told their parents, I don't know if they told their friends. Certainly had never reported it to police," Wallace said on Fox News during coverage of a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Kavanaugh and one of his accusers, Christine Blasey Ford.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | September 27, 2018 10:54 PM |
Why didn't they ask Kavanaugh if he thought Clinton had paid off Ford since he implied that Clinton was behind the whole thing - really, Pizzagate territory.

WSJ originally reported Kavanaugh was watching Ford testify.

If he did watch her testimony, it can easily be proven with a photo.
If they can't provide a photo, it'll be more fodder to paint him as a leftwing target. He did stutter before answering if he watched.

Exactly some people are just too dumb to see the big picture when it comes to this sort of stuff r145. Complaining that Clinton wasn't the perfect candidate, there are no perfect candidates, there are two options of people who will wield immense power and have serious consequences.
If you didn't realize how important it was that the person was not Trump you are a fool, it was known he would have Supreme Court picks.

Not just Roe v Wade, gay marriage, etc (that's just so voters will continue to come out), but all the stuff that helps protect workers and the little people. They want their donors as rich as possible and that comes at the expense of the poor and middle class, and it'll be even easier going forward now that technology has progressed so far and yet our laws are so far behind.

Dr. Ford was polite, answered each question she was asked, and just spoke her truth.
Judge Kavanaugh was combative, tried to avoid answering questions, and told several obvious lies (The Renate refereces were not sexual in nature! Devil's Triangle is a drinking game!).
It could not have been more night and day, and who came off more as a more credible person is obvious.

they think Ford isn't credible because she didn't get as emotional as Kavanaugh.
they think Kavanaugh is credible because he was passionate and angry
they think an FBI investigation would only "tear him apart and smear him further"
they think Ford isn't credible because she "waited almost 40 years" to speak publicly about this
and on and on and on

[quote]Now: Collins, Murkowski, Flake and Manchin are meeting. Can confirm.
by Anonymous | reply 209 | September 27, 2018 11:35 PM |
Absolutely. Kavanaugh is a prime candidate for blackmail and bribery. He has a severe drinking problem, money problems caused by gambling issues and has all these people from his high school and college years swearing that he also has anger and aggressive behavior problems, particularly against women, especially when he drinks. All his debts were mysteriously paid off when his name was placed on the Republicans wish list for the supreme court. He is being considered for a well paying, lifetime job with virtually no chance of being fired. All he has to do is promise to vote the way the republications in charge ask and he is set for life. I am sure there is an ongoing payment plan for him in exchange for his following the republican party wishes on all supreme court decisions. I am sure he was promised a quick approval for the supreme court seat and that all his dirty laundry would be hushed up and all evidence of it withheld from the information provided to the members of congress. It is a perfect solution to all his problems and Republicans can be sure of a puppet on the court who will always do their bidding as long as they protect him and keep paying him off. None of this was discussed. None

Or is he suggesting that Ford’s been victimized by Democrats through some kind of brain washing campaign? They just happened to find someone who hung out with him back in the day and did some kind of mind control voodoo on her?
Nope. Miss Lindsay’s bloomers are in a plug because poor Ford didn’t get her claims investigated fast enough. In other words, she’s telling the truth and has been let down by the process. It’s bizarre that no one has grilled Graham on this.

[quote] In Kavanaugh's courtroom, would he believe the defense of someone who said, "But, Judge, that [crime] is not in my calendar. That proves I wasn't there."
It may not be hard evidence, but at least he could be substantiated if you include names. Keeping a calendar is actually a good idea if you intend to seek any position of power, especially today. It's amazing he had the foresight to do it back then.
[quote] We can play the numbers game, too. Kavanaugh can be impeached after the midterms. After formal charges have been brought against him in Maryland by Ford and others.
There would be no way he would be convicted without any evidence, even if Ford's testimony on its own is compelling.
WTF was Alyssa Millano doing there? She sent a tweet complaining about Repubs being on their phone even as she constantly brings attention to herself by taking video and pictures while the hearing is going on.

UPDATE: Judge Kavanaugh said during his hearing that he did not watch Dr. Ford's testimony. He said he had intended to but was preparing for his own testimony.

I left work at 3:30 today for an appointment. I turned on the radio for a traffic report, and instead they had Brett Kavanaugh crying and weeping about what a fine outstanding lad he and his fellow boys' Catholic prep schools grads were and are.
I got news for this dirtball: I'm a boys' Catholic prep school grad as well. One of my classmates was tried and convicted of murdering a couple of people by car bombs back in the 80's. For all I know, he could still be in prison. Another classmate of mine's father was a pipefitters union president and was shot and killed while sitting at his desk in the union hall shortly after we graduated. I didn't know the father, but if he was anything like his asshole son, he got what was coming to him.
My point is if Kavanaugh thinks going to a boys' Catholic prep school ensures upstanding moral character and entitles him to a "get of a jail free" card, he is sorely mistaken.

In South Carolina, Graham is known as an unacknowledged gay. He, as some other politicians in the state, get by with it by being in the closet. As long as they yap and vote right-wing, they get by with it.
Graham has his male, personal associations, but denies anything romantic. Remember, his Emails were hacked by Russians, though they were also giving money to his PAC. Trump knows something, and it appears it was revealed at the first golf outing. That is when Graham did the 180 and started aggressively attacking the DOJ/FBI and embracing and promoting everything Trump.
Assuming there's game-changing dirt on Graham, the wrong side has it. If the public knows what Trump knows, then........

So Googling I found the Weekly Standard online, which is a Conservative magazine. But I loved this observation:
"At the end of the day, it’s no use lamenting the foolish choices that led us to this point because we can’t unmake them. The best we can do is try to figure out what incentive structure led people to make them in the first place, and then try to change it.
That’s a big question. And the most depressing possible answer is that this spectacle—like the spectacle of the Trump presidency—is merely a symptom of the larger disease.
It’s impossible to look at the Ford-Kavanaugh hearings and not see America as a nation in decline."

I strongly suspect that if only one red state Democrat threatens to vote for Kavanaugh, Chuck Schumer will tell them that they can expect the least desirable committee assignments when the Democrats take over the Senate, when ever that is. If more than one red state Democrat decides to vote for Kavanaugh then there isn't much Schumer can really do.
With Machin though they have to be careful, he could easily just switch parties.

Why would Dr. Ford provide Judge's name knowing Judge would support Brett? Because she is telling the truth, no matter where the chips fall. He is clearly hiding it did happen.

R388, Ford said that there were at least three boys/men at the party at which she was assaulted: Kavanaugh, Judge and a P.J. somebody. The July 1 calendar entry indicated that Kavanaugh had a meeting planned with Judge and P.J. It suggests that July 1 was the day that the assault occurred.

If he told the truth about the assault, he would be admitting to a crime. Everything would stop there.
If he pled the Fifth, again, everything would stop right there. And a criminal investigation into the assault would commence almost immediately.
If he said he did not assault her, he would be committing perjury. Also a crime. But it allowed him to kick the can a bit further, at least as far as the committee vote.
If a proper law enforcement investigation is commenced, he'll be in enough trouble that the feds won't even bother with the perjury problem, other to remove him from the federal court. And the Bar association might relieve him of his law license. His best choice was to lie in front of the entire nation.

An observation from Jennifer Rubin, WaPo's resident conservative columnist (who I've seen referred to hear as crazed but I find her fairly sensible... at a minimum she doesn't think much of the current Republican Party.). Anyway she wrote this and I bet a lot of women will feel this now:
"The shouting didn’t end with his opening statement. He barked at the ranking Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.). Then the Republicans got into the screaming act, pushing their outside lawyer Rachel Mitchell aside in favor of histrionics from Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and John Cornyn (R-Tex.). If President Trump loved the nasty, male grievance game, the rest of us had reason to wonder if anyone of this temperament — Cornyn, Graham or Kavanaugh — should be in a position of power. If they were women, they would be called “hysterical.”
I heard the first house vote is Saturday. If there's to be marches, it needs to be soon.

If anything this hearing alienated huge parts of the country from the government even more, and hopefully from the Republican party in particular. Hearing these people go on about their party filled youths and hanging out at country clubs just underscores how out of touch the leadership is with Americans who are in the trenches of life.
And the fact that they are treating each other with such contempt gives little hope to those with much less who want to seek justice in America.

Wouldn't you think the Republicans would want someone who isn't a liability like Kavanaugh? People like Kavanaugh don't just do this shit once. I'm sure there are more women. What happens when Kavanaugh gets onto the SCOTUS and we have a Dem Senate or Dem president? Aren't Republicans scared more serious allegations against him could possibly force him from the court. Then, if we do have a Dem Senate or president, the Republicans are screwed. They just lost a SCOTUS seat. You'd think they would want someone who they know wouldn't cause potential issues down the line.

No, R550, it's even worse with some of them. Many times, they do believe it happened and they think it's no big deal when it's an "R" and they only care when a "D" does it because of politics, not out of genuine concern for the victims.
Like that Trump supporter mother who said it's no big deal if a man gropes you - to her friggin daughters standing right there.
Many of them are immoral, low-life trash who imagine that their family is like a Hummel figurine come to life, but in reality, they're lecherous, sinful scum who think women (and non-whites) should be treated like garbage.
They're so delusional when it comes to who and what they are, that's why they see the Trump family as perfect and the Obama family as ghetto. No decent person could ever think like that - low-life trash with no self-respect think like that.
