How did he get to be a judge in the first place? Don't they vet candidates?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 28, 2018 3:04 AM |
Brett's face when he was answering FEMALE Senators was full of disgust. Even when a male Senator went after him like Durbin, he was much more respectful. He hates women.

Corker announces he will vote to confirm.
[quote] “I know it took courage for Dr. Ford to appear before the committee today. I also very strongly believe that Judge Kavanaugh, like all Americans, deserves the presumption of innocence and that it was equally as important for him to have the opportunity to address the charges and defend himself,” Corker said in a statement. Corker said there is “no question” that Kavanaugh is qualified to sit on the Supreme Court.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) then plans a Saturday procedural vote to formally move to the nomination, with a potential confirmation vote as early as Tuesday...
Then, in the full GOP conference meeting, Murkowski, Collins and Flake offered their colleagues no signal of where they would land, according to an attendee. Rachel Mitchell, a lawyer who was retained by the Senate GOP to question Ford, broke down her analysis of the testimony to Republicans, but did not advise them how to vote. She told them that as a prosecutor she would not charge Kavanaugh or even pursue a search warrant, according to a person briefed on the meeting.

I'd love it if the Democrats could win big on midterms and then impeach Trump and Kavanaugh but that's a pipe dream I realize
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 28, 2018 3:07 AM |
Why are we pretending to be surprised that any of these Rethugs are saying they're going to vote Yes?

My wife, Ashley and my daughter Liza were saying their prayers.....
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 28, 2018 3:07 AM |
So can someone go back and give me more info on the whole Mitchell saying she wouldn't be able to proceed?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 28, 2018 3:08 AM |
Was Mitchell a fixer? She is from suspicious Maracopa county.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 28, 2018 3:09 AM |
How can ANYONE in this country not see how cowardly the Repug men are to hide behind a skirt with Dr. Ford but come out like they are cowboys when Brett is out?
They could not do their fucking job. How humiliating. These are people who actually get votes?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 28, 2018 3:09 AM |
The GOP has used politics to push this thing thing through. It blocked the release of 95% of his papers—papers would have shown he lied to the senate previously. They knew about the allegations by women fans. That’s why a petition signed by 65 women supporting him appeared suddenly).
All to end abortion and supporting the rules made by the rich
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 28, 2018 3:09 AM |
As soon as the Dems retake the WH and have control of the House an Senate, the first order of business would be to add two seats to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Collins is a shit. She will vote for him once McConnell threatens her and any legislation she supports

We are in a war, not a battle. Call your senators 202 224-3121 congressional switchboard or text resist to 50409.
Then find a race in your state and volunteer to canvass. Every weekend until November

There were never any swing votes. Don't believe that lie.

PJ Smyth is also a witness and also seems to be selling the poor girl out, through his lawyer of course and carefully parsed. He doesn’t even have the balls to do it in person.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 28, 2018 3:17 AM |
"I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as 'PJ' who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post," Smyth says in his statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. "I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh."

Or will he just pass out drunk?

by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 28, 2018 3:20 AM |
Did anyone else notice that early on during Dr. Ford's testimony Grassley kept addressing Rachel Mitchell by her first name and then all of a sudden switched to calling her Miss Mitchell? You just know there was a "Psst, Senator Grassley...." and a little advice on "optics".

new Mark Judge statement
He doesn't want to comment on anything as a result of his alcoholism and cancer recovery. He says he has no knowledge of the events as Ford described Nice cop out

Thank heaven it will be done in time for the weekend, I guess.

Mark Judge gets out of testifying because he is a drunk? Are you fucking kidding me?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 28, 2018 3:23 AM |
r33 His lying will make the cancer come back. Someone needs to tell him that.
Oh and the skeezy thing he said about his daughter suggesting THEY pray for Dr. Ford. Yes, daddy needs to pray for Dr. Ford because daddy touched Dr. Ford here, and here, and here, a long long time ago and that is how teens play.

by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 28, 2018 3:25 AM |
Lying and evasion were so evident. He just wouldn’t answer the questions. Instead he would try to attack the questioners.
Disgusting
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 28, 2018 3:26 AM |
As I was watching Kavanaugh and his LONG opening, he reminded me of a spoiled bully baby (like you know who) who, while apparently with very good credentials, but who felt he was ENTITLED to a seat on the Supreme Court. He also made things political by expressing outrage at the Dems (who weren't the ones who chose when hearing schedule), conspiracies, revenge from the Clintons, and other BS that judges, and he's currently a Federal judge, are not supposed to express. But in the era of Trump, all kinds of norms have been broken. I guess those 3 Republican senators have the means to stop this, but who knows if they will.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 28, 2018 3:27 AM |
Brett hates women with a passion. He hates the left with a passion. He is fundamentally unfit emotionally to be a SC judge. He is immoral and a complete sociopath.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 28, 2018 3:27 AM |
I'm just so angry. I'm glad I live in a blue state but I almost wish I lived in one I could help flip with my vote

[quote] PJ Smyth: "I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh."
But look at his words very carefully. "I have no knowledge of the party in question." Dr. Ford addressed this herself today. Of course none of them would remember some random party that just came together after swimming at the country club 36 years ago. It was unremarkable to everyone except the three people involved in the attempted rape: Dr. Ford, KavaNO, and that shit Judge.
KavaNo kept saying this afternoon that they others "denied" that it happened. I wish one of the Dems had said -- no, they said they don't recall it occurring and that is not the same as denying that it occurred.

Judge doesn’t get to walk away from this.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 28, 2018 3:29 AM |
The GOP Senators kept bringing up the accusation about the trains but made it so salacious as to be unbelievable.
Of course, no one ever accused Kavanaugh of participating in a train but the GOP wants you to believe that’s what the accusation was.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 28, 2018 3:29 AM |
One thing that I noticed when the Rethugs kept harping and trying to push through their false evidence that everyone signed documents that would result in prison if they falsified...
The statements they signed off on were statements that they did not "recollect," any such events.
Funny how that works, right?
"I don't recall," is definitely not the same as, "No." Therefore can't get in trouble!
Trust me, I know!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | September 28, 2018 3:29 AM |
Everyone in power is letting him r45, so he might.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 28, 2018 3:30 AM |
Sorry Im confused. So Mitchell saying that she couldn't proceed? What does that mean?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | September 28, 2018 3:31 AM |
Instead of CNN having 10 panelist, they need 10 reporters out doing reporting. Where are the witnesses? They don’t get to hide.
No wonder they’ve been last place. Jeff Zucker took NBC to last place and is now doing the same for CNN.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 28, 2018 3:31 AM |
lmao oh Susie such a beaut
[qupte]Susan Collins avoided reporters all day today, taking back staircases and elevators and working and watching the hearing in her Senate hideaway, which reporters were not allowed to stake out. She would not comment on Kavanaugh as she left for the night
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 28, 2018 3:32 AM |
This is why lazy poster need to post a link.
Mitchell was saying that if this were a trial, she wouldn’t process further without more info. which makes me think she’s a fixer. The repugs chose her after all for a reason.
Hello, start with Judge and PJ.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 28, 2018 3:33 AM |
It means nothing r49, just telling the people who hired her what they want to hear.
She is saying as a prosecutor if this case was in her jurisdiction she would decline to pursue it.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 28, 2018 3:33 AM |
Judge and PJ hold the key to democracy on their hands. You would think a news truck is in order.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 28, 2018 3:34 AM |
R49 no. She's a repub and a repub shill. Mitchell is saying based on the hearings today, she would not (as a sex crimes prosecutor) have charged Kavanaugh with anything. She was saying nothing Ford and Kavanaugh said would have warranted him being charged.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 28, 2018 3:34 AM |
[quote]Of course none of them would remember some random party that just came together after swimming at the country club 36 years ago. It was unremarkable to everyone except the three people involved in the attempted rape: Dr. Ford, KavaNO, and that shit Judge.
The saddest part is, I think the only person this was memorable for was Blasey Ford. Attempted rape while drunk out of their minds was just another unremarkable day for those two fuckers.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 28, 2018 3:34 AM |
[quote]So Mitchell saying that she couldn't proceed? What does that mean?
It means they bribed her with two dozen Krispy Kremes.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 28, 2018 3:34 AM |
It's a silly statement because officers investigate and then bring cases to the prosecution. There hasn't been an investigation yet. The Dems asked for one roughly 42 million times.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 28, 2018 3:36 AM |
They remember.
Think about it.
If they knew it wasn’t true they would come through for their friend. If nothing else, a friend on the Supreme Court is a good thing.
That’s why they won’t show their faces in public.
They know exactly what happened and that’s why they are hiding like cowards.
They were writing books and begging for public attention right up until now?
Now they are camera shy?
They absolutely know and the media is letting them skirt.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 28, 2018 3:37 AM |
THERE NEEDS TO BE MASS DEMONSTRATIONS AT THE CAPITAL AND THE SENATE OFFICE BUILDING TOMORROW!
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 28, 2018 3:38 AM |
I guarantee that Mitchell is a radical anti-choicer. More like, 'Wouldn't press charges or seek a warrant until the investigation was done," if she was honest. Then, we're back to that pesky missing investigation.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | September 28, 2018 3:38 AM |
Why was Mitchell even offering that hypothetical opinion if she was in fact neutral?
That’s not appropriate.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | September 28, 2018 3:38 AM |
We need to hear from PJ and Judge on the record. Plain and simple.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | September 28, 2018 3:39 AM |
The GOP kept calling the letters signed by apparent witnesses “at the risk of felony.”
That was a term made up for this hearing. They were at risk of perjury but that doesn’t sound as bad.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | September 28, 2018 3:40 AM |
R62 because she's a repub and repub shill. That means she has no morals
by Anonymous | reply 65 | September 28, 2018 3:40 AM |
Gloria Borgia seems drunk.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | September 28, 2018 3:41 AM |
She isn't neutral, she was brought in to represent the GOP senators. Never really meant to be a neutral party.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | September 28, 2018 3:42 AM |
Funny how no GOP Senator or Kavanaugh wanted an FBI investigation. No one wants to know what the other witnesses really have to say. Instead they seem happy with 5-6 line denial letters
by Anonymous | reply 68 | September 28, 2018 3:42 AM |
R67, they got rid of her when they realized that she was emphasizing his drinking. That’s when Graham had his meltdown— to distract from her questioning

by Anonymous | reply 76 | September 28, 2018 3:46 AM |
I truly believe that there must be a legal way to COMPEL both Judge and PJ to speak. DL Legal Department, what say you? My Constitutional rights have been violated, my liberty has been damaged by these criminals with their lies and coverups. How do I bring this before a judge?? Bull fucking shit I can’t sue them for this, a creative lawyer can plea the case. Who do I call?????

The American Bar Association is calling for a halt to the vote until the FBI investigates.
This seems pretty big.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | September 28, 2018 3:51 AM |
This is going to be a different story come Monday.
Collins and Murkowski will be wise to wait a week or two. This is going to blow up so huge.
Evil has a way of winning or these days, I will admit, but it really could be political suicide to vote for this guy. It’s super risky. He got a bump for his stunt today but it won’t hold the weekend. Every day that this goes by makes him more and more toxic.
Also, the story is moving so fast they are having trouble keeping this within the tribal, propaganda narrative. People are having independent thoughts, which the leaders just can’t have.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | September 28, 2018 3:51 AM |
I wonder how many DUIs have already been magically swept under the rug already in his life?
What if they disbar him?

No, the ABA can't do anything. Lawyers are admitted to practice by the state bar association.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | September 28, 2018 3:53 AM |
when will there be a viral video of Lindsey Graham being shamed? We've even seen McConnell get that treatment a couple months ago. Lindsey needs to be humiliated non-violently in public and have it recorded
by Anonymous | reply 96 | September 28, 2018 3:53 AM |
If Ford and her attorneys were smart, they would go first thing in the morning and file charges in Mass.....the republicans pretty much dared her to do it.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | September 28, 2018 3:54 AM |
Even if they can't do anything, wouldn't this statement by the ABA carry some weight with fence sitters?
by Anonymous | reply 99 | September 28, 2018 3:55 AM |
You mean MD, R98.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | September 28, 2018 3:55 AM |
It's a bit of a vice.... "The comments are striking because the organization gave Kavanaugh its highest rating of unanimous, "well-qualified" for the Supreme Court. Kavanaugh himself touted that rating at Thursday's emotionally-charged hearing where he denied Ford's sworn testimony that he attempted to rape her when they were teenagers.
Kavanaugh noted he was "thoroughly vetted" by the ABA."
by Anonymous | reply 101 | September 28, 2018 3:55 AM |

What fence sitters, R99?
by Anonymous | reply 103 | September 28, 2018 3:55 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 104 | September 28, 2018 3:56 AM |
R98- Honestly why would she want to do that at this point? She's already put herself in the meat grinder for this guy- why would she want to keep stringing it out and wreck her own life for nothing?
by Anonymous | reply 105 | September 28, 2018 3:56 AM |
The only thing that could shift them is polling. Hopefully somebody can crank it out over the weekend with a Monday morning release, assuming the vote is next week.

by Anonymous | reply 112 | September 28, 2018 4:00 AM |
Even if the ABA can't do anything, the optics are bad. It's not that Kavanaugh needs a death blow, but he could die by a thousand cuts. If more things like this start to pile up in the next 24 hours, they might have no choice but to delay or cancel the vote.
I agree another bad polling could help. Plus anyone else who comes forward to dispute his testimony.
by Anonymous | reply 113 | September 28, 2018 4:00 AM |
No offense to democrats but people need to step forward, let’s hear from independents too, but some politician somewhere has got to start being effective against these repugs.
There is a solution to every problem, it’s just that neither democrats, nor the public at large, can seem to figure out how to fight this.
All these rethugs are lawyers and what they are pulling is typical criminal defense attorney tricks and stunts.
Democrats need to figure out a way to fight this populism and speak to all Americans.
They need to disrupt the propaganda narratives and challenge everything and everything these rethugs do.
They need to get aggressive. stay on message and speak directly to the people.

IF IF IF IF IF BK is telling the truth and Ford is lying he should personally ask for an FBI investigation.
A little part of me actually believes he's innocent of the sexual assault allegations. But what I believe he's afraid of getting uncovered, is his shady financial and gambling past.
Honestly, if he was telling the truth an FBI investigation is a win win for him. He gets his name cleared and the seat on the court is all but guaranteed his. He's technically qualified for the job, and after this circus, even dems would vote for him. But he reeks of shadiness and has major "I need anger management" face.

I don't agree R140. Look at the way he filibustered the drinking allegations. That's the key. If he admits to getting so drunk that he blacked out, then everything else unravels. Look at his behavior today. Granted he's going through some stuff, but that behavior was out of bounds. That is a motherfucker who can rape a chick with his buddy and laugh about it while he's doing it.
It speaks volumes about his character that he has been ripped to shreds like this and his wife and daughter have been put through this and didn't step away from the nomination. Yeah, it's a good gig with good benefits and a lifetime appointment, but is it worth putting your wife and daughter through that hell. Yeah, he's gonna get confirmed, but he'll be forever known as Justice Rapey. Another institution decimated by Trump.

Sure, Gerasimov is a Russian general. R128
His doctrine, I think 2013-2014, is about waging war, psychologically and technologically. Is uses propaganda to achieve specific goals. So, for example Putin hated Clinton and so used propaganda to debase her. Russian interference in the Brexit vote is another example.
Putin wants to break up Western alliances, and assert Russian dominance in the form of a new Russian empire.

I'm from the UK but the news channels over here also covered this story majorly with live coverage of the hearings. It kind of makes me grateful that our system for appointing judges here is very different and not so party political. But exactly how many senators from the Republican side need to rebel to block his appointment and who are the most likely to do so? I thought it was disgusting the way Christine was cross examined by a barrister and the potential supreme Court judge wasn't. It would be a terrible new low for America and the GOP party if he is confirmed.

One of Brett Kavanaugh’s college roommates has come forward to talk about the Supreme Court nominee’s drinking problem, and also about a dead pigeon he found nailed to his door.
Kit Winter was an out gay man at Yale University in the early 1980’s, the same time that Kavanaugh attended that school. They lived together in a three-person suite, with Winter in a single room and Kavanaugh sharing a double room with James Roche.
Roche has already talked to the media about how Kavanaugh was a “aggressive and belligerent” drunk, and several other people who knew Kavanaugh in high school and college have contradicted his claim that he never drank so much that he had a memory lapse.
Winter, too, recalls Kavanaugh’s excessive drinking, remembering Kavanaugh and his friends as “loud, obnoxious frat boy-like drunks.”
“There was a lot of vomit in the bathroom. No one ever cleaned it up. It was disgusting. It wasn’t incidental. It wasn’t, ‘Oh, this weekend someone puked in the bathroom.’ People were constantly puking in the bathroom. Constantly.”
In an interview with The Cut, Winter describes an incident involving a dead pigeon that he found nailed to his door – the door to his room, not the outside door to the suite.
“I interpreted it as an act of social hostility slash terrorism,” Winter said. “I thought it was a very clear message. ‘We don’t like you, and we don’t want you here.’ I didn’t know who it was who didn’t want me here. I didn’t know who had done it.”
Several of his friends at the time corroborated that a bird was nailed to the door, although no one knew who did it.
“I remember that Kit was really unhappy with his roommates,” said Lori Adams, a retired psychiatrist who was Winter’s friend at Yale.
“They were jocks and Kit was an out gay man with peroxide blond hair. He was uncomfortable there. And he didn’t spend much time there.”
Winter didn’t report the dead bird to the police and he didn’t ask to change rooms, since he had already asked the dean to move him into the empty single-person room in the suite.
“I think my general response was, screw you,” Winter said. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Winter also doesn’t buy Kavanaugh’s claim that he did not drink excessively.
“Having witnessed the level of drunkenness of Brett and his crew in that dorm, and the vomitous aftermath in the bathroom, I find that very hard to believe,” that he never had memory lapses while drinking, Winter said.
“I was not a blackout drinker, but there’s tons of stuff I don’t remember because I was drinking a lot, frequently. Anybody who drank a lot in college and can stand up 35 years later and say, ‘I am sure that did not happen’ inherently lacks credibility to me.”

Someone with money and influence should hire a private investigator to ferret out Judge's employment record while working at the Safeway. The July1st entry on the calendar is important. When Mitchell referenced it in her opening questioning Graham got rid of her. And launched into his community theater level performance. Manchin is a yes if Flake, Collins, and Murkowski fold. I honestly hate the DINOS more than the Republicans at times. And I thought with a couple of exceptions, Booker, who for once came off as sincere and not pandering, Durbin, and Kamala, who might have caught him in a lie about watching Ford's testimony, the Democrats were ineffectual.

She's a fake moderate who will toe the party line in the end. I think Murkowski is leaning more no than Collins is FWIW. But that's if it makes it to a floor vote.
The only wild card remaining is whether Flake votes no during the committee vote, and if the past two years has shown anything, it's that Flake will vote Trump's way every single time while blaming "both sides" during his floor speeches. Liberals putting everything on Flake tomorrow morning is not a winning proposition. The committee vote doesn't even really matter because McConnell can still bring it to a full floor vote regardless of whether it fails in committee.

I'm still so confused about why Kavanaugh brought up the Clintons during his opening testimony. It fires up the right wing base and Trump of course but it was partisan garbage unbecoming of a Supreme Court nominee. I'm surprised he didn't bring up pizzagate while he was at it.

His partisanship - whether on SCOTUS or back on the appeals court - is now documented. How can he rule fairly? Undoubtedly, cases involving Planned Parenthood and perhaps election fraud, money laundering, emoluments clause, etc, are bound to come before the court.

A Republican-affiliated group released an attack ad against a Democratic candidate in California for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman, on the same day Republicans dismissed Dr. Ford's allegation. I live in the CA-39 district and saw it on the air last night and violently rolled my eyes. Republicans are now picking and choosing which sexual assault victims they believe.

Maybe when you become a judge you cover your evidence better than regular people...?

R242 Of course... men like Trump and Kavanaugh, they have been unabashed jerks since at least puberty, and yet they get passes through all their life to reach powerful positions in government. It is just the rotten side of American culture, that as these men gain more power and prestige, people will keep their secrets for them, and they can also suppress any accusations with the "law", hush money and intimidation.
by Anonymous | reply 243 | September 28, 2018 9:50 AM |
So I've been wondering, with his partisanship so obvious and well documented, can that be used in future cases that go before SCOTUS? For instance, if there is a case involving alcohol in some fashion, can lawyers argue that Kavanaugh has an obligation to recuse? Will SCOTUS even hear an argument like that or are you prohibited from showing that you can't get a fair trial in front of SCOTUS?

Graham is closeted gay, only to himself.
In South Carolina, it has been known since he first entered politics. During campaigns, both primary challengers and Democratic opponents have referenced it, but no material evidence is provided. Rumors about Graham and certain men have floated, but none of his alleged flings have come forward. That may be that his connections are other closet types who also have an interest in staying closeted. If he has used male "escorts" via apps or otherwise, nothing has come to light so far. If he is sexually active with anyone, he is very clever in keeping it hidden from the media and political opponents. What Trump conveyed to him at their first golf outing, certainly has led to speculation that DJT knows something, and is using it to control Graham. Graham's Emails were hacked by Putty hackers, so if some blackmail is at work, it is yet to be verified.

R202 reminds of some that struck me as creepy and odd yesterday that I haven't seen remarked upon anywhere else yet.
Kavanaugh launched into a story about some friend of his who didn't like Kit Winter got the idea to move all of Winter's possessions out of his room and dump them outdoors during a weekend when Winter was away from campus. Kavanaugh was chuckling and calling it hilarious. The senator questioning him had to drag him back on point. What the hell besides stalling did Kavanaugh think he was doing there? If he was trying to charm and amuse with tales of his "hilarious" antics it was a failure. He was cut off and all that did was further reveal his smarmy, callous, clueless self. "Ha, Ha! Look what we had planned for the fag!"
Was anyone else struck by that? Sorry I can't recall which senator was questioning him. Klobuchar? I'd been watching all day and by that time was frazzled.

Judge may spill the beans to a practiced FBI interrogator; he may say something that contradicts facts even if he's not being upfront that could be important in the investigation. That’s a woman who fears for her life. Bretty is powerful. He has powerful friends. They could off her & make it look like an accident. She knows it.

We've had one for quite some time, r322.

I am confused about the investigation by the Dem Coalition? How do we get it to an official investigation?

Apologies if this has already been posted in one of the 30-odd Kavanaugh threads.

The Dem Coalition is some wacko fake news thing.

I said that Trump would call for an FBI investigation. Go FLAKE.

Thank you r316. Your post made me laugh for the first time in two days. I really needed to.

r330, I liked that, want more. Loved when Lindsay came in and Sammy shot him down.

Dear Judge Kavenaugh:
We must remind you that an actor's monologue is usually no more than 2 minutes in length. Plus it is required to be memorized. We hereby deny you a place in our Thespian Class of 2022.
P.S. It' also has to be believable.

I like beer. Do you like beer, Senator? DO YOU?!?

Should you reapply in future, may we suggest you stick with what you know....such as a drunk scene with Miss Caswell.

This show has too many cliff hangers! I wonder if they'll kill off the judge? Or will Lindsay Graham wake up next season and it will all be a dream?

If Kavanaugh gets nominated he'll be a mean vindictive SOB.

We need to replace the performer trying to pull off the Nominee role.

What the actual fuck???
I posted this on one of the earlier threads:
[quote]"What’s the rush with Kavanaugh you say? Why not investigate? Here is why: So it is now very clear why the GOP is so desperate to get Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court by next month that they would schedule a vote before hearing from Dr. Ford or any other witness that comes forward. BIG STAKES HERE... if you check out SCOTUSblog, you will see that on next month's docket is: Gamble v. U.S., No. 17-646. Issue(s): Whether the Supreme Court should overrule the "separate sovereigns" exception to the double jeopardy clause. They are desperate. The plan was to appoint Kavanaugh early this week so that he would be seated in time for this ruling. It was in the bag. Saves everyone involved from state charges. Not only Trump but all políticos who were knowingly enriched by the $$$ funneled through the NRA into the coffers of McConnell, Graham, Rubio, Ryan, etc. So if Kavanaugh gets appointed he’d effectively vote to stop states from charging Trump or anyone else involved. Obstruction of justice."'
I swear when I looked earlier the facts seem to be in place and this was scheduled for October. I just checked the blog again and now that case has been moved from October to an undetermined date.
Proof they're all trying to fucking obstruct justice.

It hurts Brett ...cuz ur guilty as fuck
by Anonymous | reply 342 | September 28, 2018 11:04 PM |
If a SC case ends up with a 4-4 tie vote, they can rehear the case after Kavanaugh is seated and before the final determination.

But the point is R343 that's not what they're doing. It was originally scheduled to be reviewed early in October and now all of a sudden (I'm sure with no connection to the events of today) it's been pulled for some future date.

well he threatened if the senate went ahead with "advancing the nomination" this afternoon. Hopefully they'll still come forward this weekend

His clients will likely be interviewed by the FBI, and not go public, r346. That'll be the least impactful to his clients' personal life and family.

As for Senator Lindsay Graham's application to also be admitted to the next year's class of the Copacabana Class of 2022, based on his performance at yesterday's hearings and especially his questioning to Judge Kavanaugh:
You're too short for that gesture. Plus an actor needs to have a standard American dialect in order to have maximum flexibility in the public sphere.
Application (dis)Respectfully declined

R271, I saw that Washington Post piece elsewhere and thought at first it was something from The Onion. Then I realized it was real and that Thursday actually happened and then I wanted to walk in front of a bus.
