I'm not convinced those marks are from the glasses. At certain angles, when Lee is thin and/or tired, he has prominent indentations under near his cheekbones. where the sinus cavity is. There are times you can see it pretty well in HACF. I think the glasses may have been used to hide the indentations but may have also exacerbated them. He's not being paid by Thom Browne, but I will bet he either gets most things free or steeply discounted. About Lee and sexuality, I think that's part of the reason he seems to relate to Joe M (his character from Halt) so much. Joe who was obviously into boys early (he had trouble as a teen because of it), who had some shit tossed at him because of it later too, yet he is sexually fluid, he is into a person not gender and it seems to confuse people around him a lot, especially when it's guys guys guys and then Cameron and then a boyfriend again. I remember Lee talking about it too, in the vein of "well, people don't quite get it". He spoke about Joe, of course, but also many times he said he felt that he is like Joe.

R542 It's just an idea. I'm frankly at a loss here, because I can't fathom what it is about Matt that keeps Lee being in love with him or at least interested in his company for over a year. However, there is one argument against this. If he wanted all this flaunting much, why not present Matt as his boyfriend? He literally has nothing to lose, the latest NYT article painted him gay for 90% people and bisexual for the other 10%. He can't go back into the closet now even if he wanted to. Even if he brings a woman to the Marvel premiere and kisses her with tongue there with all the cameras watching (he wouldn't though, I mean even with a real gf, cause Lee is Lee), people will just shrug and say, well, he's bi after all. So why hide Matt from the public while "flaunting"? The logic doesn't quite work.

I doubt Matt lives in Millbrook during the week. It is an absolutely brutal commute into NYC. By car, at least two hours each way with traffic. By train, at least 90 minutes, considering he has to commute to the train station as well as deal with frequent train delays. It's fine for a weekend, but trying to travel during peak commuting hours is hell.

The season 3 McMillan stage sounds sad to me, though, because he was a deeply disappointed man in it. The one who found success but no personal fulfillment until the very end. And that hopeful ending fell apart in season 4 when Cameron ditched their plans.

Though in a way Lee does look more melancholy to me now. I remember the beginning stages of Hobbit and everyone was saying, this elf guy is so sunny. I had a crazy idea: now that Lee's officially out, what once was perceived as "typical patterns" became unusual ones for him. He have never behaved like a stereotypical gay, but, now, he has the chance to add this experience to his life's background! Have you seen Matty’s friend domescek’s comment on the corn pic? Hilarious!

Well, his parents and sister always made pics when they visited Lee, sometimes even Lee made pics of his parents. Last year August his mom posted photos of his sunflower field and even told they were at Lee's. They never made a secret of it and ffs why would they. That was imho the last time his parents visited the farm. His mom went to see AiA, his dad and siblings did not. He didn't spend Thanksgiving with them, what he always did! Matt is actually the first partner he didn't bring to TX for Thanksgiving (ok I dunno about James C but he even brought AL for goddess' sake). I'm not saying it's Matt's fault, but coincidentally Lees family disappeared in the moment Matty entered the stage. Lee spent Christmas with the Foleys.

R586 Foley has brought a nasty shitstorm into Lee’s life. Don’t forget how Sally had to get an out of the home job that was more secure. She stopped posting anything on every platform the day Lee came out in W magazine. Knowing that her female customer base made mostly of Lee’s fangirls would dry up. And probably to avoid the awkward questions she would have been asked. She said she stopped her at home businesses because she was sick of it but I’m not buying that, it’s a lie. She stopped the day Lee came out, that’s not a coincidence. Matt’s appearance in Lee’s life changed a lot of things.

Matt’s crew is simply more visible because they post everything on instagram.

A friend of mine was at AiA and then walked in the same direction as Lee (not stalking him lol, it just happened and Lee is difficult to miss). He met a short dark-haired woman at the street corner and got into a cab with her. The friend thought she looked like Anna F but Anna was in London so some other friend. I don’t think he only keeps the company of Matt’s people, though it does seem that Matt is trying to replace his friends with his own. That, or Lee really likes them, because they are with him like all the time. You gotta really like people to invite them to your place several times a month, right?

Adonis, but it’s not just a family that makes you wiser. You can experience deep emotional connections to people without marriage or children. In that way of course Matt can add a new experience to his life, if Lee’s emotions for him are very intense (we don’t know that, though). Anyone he loved or hated left a trace.

However, I agree Matt is holding on for dear life. Either Lee gets tired of him or he makes a mistake. No way he is breaking up with Lee, the best he’s ever had and will ever have.
