Now that you said it. Maybe he is standing on tiptoe leaning over Lee’s shoulder to see something, like a phone Lee’s holding, for example. Or his right hand is holding something in front of Lee and both are looking at it.

None of that would be strange for two people who are dating, but the circumstances of the photo. It would be pretty strange to suddenly show them together like this after having taken care to not show them at all in other photos from the farm. It’s like, if it’s okay to show Matt draping himself all over Lee, why does every other photo and video avoids even putting them in the same frame?

It reminds me of the Costa Rika photos where they were barely shown standing next to each other and then suddenly a video panned over Matt either hugging Lee or crying into his chest (that’s what it looked like to me, though not likely, realistically speaking). But Costa Rika was before the coming out so such caution was necessary. Still you could easily identify Matt because of the group's isolation in another country.

That's not girlish, that's playful. And he was like that many times in PD interviews, look up some old ones on youtube. The serious or bored look he often has in Hobbit promotion, he hadn't used to have it before (that's exactly why some people said RA sucked his joie de vie out of him). Just google something like "LP PD Interview ActuStar" or "PD E! interview" or "LP discusses the kissing dream" (full name and title of course). The "serious introverted quiet farmer Lee" is an after-Hobbit occurence. In a lot of early videos he is flirty and playful and energetic exactly like in those Hobbit bts scenes. You can see a similar behaviour in this Venice interview, though much more subdued but the way his face keeps changing expressions and he is smiling so often. He isn't like that at the press conference, he assumed the serious introverted face again then.

There are PD con videos where he is laughing so hard he almost slides off his chair. Laughs and giggles actually. Can't watch that without giving him a smile too from this side of the screen, that engaging. And another E! interview where he holds champagne and steals looks down the journalist's low cut dress and they both seem positively dizzy. And the making of Marmaduke too where he plays a practical joke on the cameraman just like he played a joke on the makeup artist in Hobbit.

If he never appeared, it would have meant a fight or even a breakup. I’m anxiously awaiting the day Lee gets bored with all this, but I doubt the day will come any time soon.
