Grease star Stockard Channing, 73, shocks fans with unrecognizable face

OMG!! Stockard Channing looks like an older version of Stockard Channing!

She is completely recognizable. Stupid Daily Star.

What has happened, OP?

Okay, wow… Plastic surgery is only for beautiful people (e.g., Donna Mills, Linda Gray, Jane Fonda). If you aren't naturally pretty, don't bother… just be a character actress.

She looks pretty much what I would expect for a 73 yr old version of her. Her nose is bigger, she's wrinkly. She's gained weight. Ok, next?

Someone should create lifelike post-plastic-surgery portraits of famous faces, from Renaissance depictions of Jesus to Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe. Imagine any of them with the overstuffed cheeks and disgustingly inflated lips.

From what I've read she was unhappy with what her previous doctor had done to her mouth, giving her a Joker-like appearance so I think this recent work was more of a correction.

She always had that weird, fat nose.

She got her face pulled TIGHT in the late '90's. When she did THE LION IN WINTER at the Rounabout, she could barely speak.

I don't understand why she's trying to look "young 'n sexy" in her seventies. She was never known or hired for her sex appeal. She's a talented character actress and could have aged naturally and beautifully, a la Judi Dench. Instead, she's decided to enter uncanny valley territory. I realize she can't really reverse the face work, but couldn't she at least ditch the long wig?

What amazes me is that she didn't choose to get her nose fixed. It's more noticeable now that she's gotten everything else done.

She really should have let her early 90’s face ride, she was really quite attractive. I can’t wait for this trend of long hair on old women to be over, the implied notion of fertility bugs me. It’s worse than the excessive filler.

Still looks fine to me, she's just no longer a MILF. Had a nice run as a MIFL though, blossomed in her middle age even.

That face is a shame now. A shonda! Stockard has always been a brilliant actor (loved her since that great movie that Joan Rivers wrote in 1973, "The Girl Most Likely To". Yes, man I'm old) she has always been attractive just "not classically (read: cookie cutter) pretty" which IMHO has always added to her appeal. She was memorable from the first time I saw her. As with so many things, no one knows how to say "when" anymore. To almost anything, really. I think she looked great in the picture on the left of [R18]. And sad in the picture on the right...

Stockard was on WWHL this week and came off as more than a bit stand-offish. She didn’t engage with the other guest, Ellie Kemper at all. And when Ellie spoke, Stockard just stared straight at Andy.

I only saw some clips on YouTube, r39, but I noticed that too. Like she kept her chair turned so Kemper was to her back the whole time. I’m betting she had no idea the format of the show and didn’t realize she had to share time with someone else.

She looks like any other college freshman. Glad she finally graduated from high school!

The audience at the Roundabout must be in shock when she walks onstage if they expect her to look like the photo at link, the same one that is on the cover of the Playbill. She was on WWHL last night and she looks horrible, older than her actual age.
