by Anonymousreply 7July 14, 2018 6:52 PM

So young!

by Anonymousreply 8July 14, 2018 6:55 PM

The poor woman had a rough life. Childhood sweethearts, they married fairly young, and she supported Frank as a stenographer while he worked as a singing waiter and tried to establish his career. Then she bore and raised all his children. He cheated on her constantly, and ditched her for Ava Gardner, whom he married almost immediately after the divorce to Nancy came through and then divorced two years later. Nancy never had another husabnd, and spent the rest of her life devoted to the children and to charities.

by Anonymousreply 9July 14, 2018 6:55 PM

Frank was never a stenographer.

by Anonymousreply 10July 14, 2018 6:58 PM

Was she the horrible mother who let Frank Jr be kidnapped?

by Anonymousreply 11July 14, 2018 6:58 PM

[quote]The poor woman had a rough life.

Oh, please. She lived as a socialite, never again having to work or know what it was like to worry whether she’s going to make her next mortgage payment. Her only responsibilities were what time to show up for her appearance.

Real rough life.

No one has problems as real or as rough as yours, r12!

by Anonymousreply 13July 14, 2018 8:17 PM

You’re damn right, Orphan.

Now pull yourself up by your flip-flop straps, go down to the mud hole and grab yourself a drink. It’s on me.

(BTW, I absolutely LOVE the Darfur Orphan. You’re cool!)

by Anonymousreply 14July 14, 2018 8:45 PM

What R9 said. She seemed like a nice lady, maybe he should have stuck with her.

by Anonymousreply 15July 14, 2018 8:50 PM

I was referring to the Robert Wolders post at r1

by Anonymousreply 16July 14, 2018 9:12 PM

R4 Wiki had his death listed as 2018, but I noticed this morning someone had deleted it.
