I've known a few people with many qualities like Tommy, and I never got the sense they enjoyed anything. One time while vacationing, I was on the beach and putting sunscreen on. I happened to glance at the tube and saw that it had expired about 10 years earlier. I put the sunscreen on anyway, but it was the very last left in the tube. So, didn't have enough sunscreen to cover my entire body; parts of my legs were not covered.

From there, Tommy has been able to gain more and more followers and occasionally get into publications like People and of course on Rachael Ray's show

In one of his posts Tommy did refer obliquely to online haters etc which might have been a reaction to his critics on DL.

Tommy's millions of On-Line Haters are warded off, even negated, with positive thinking, jumping selfies, pops of color, matcha and kombucha smoothies, and Disney Corporation comps.

Spoiler alert: Greece was amazing!

How many photos were taken of that photo to make sure it was right? Also, any serious traveler would let the landscape speak for itself, rather than making themselves front and center of everything.

Tommy's Greece Getaway didn't seem to take in polluted and impoverished urban locations, smog-filled skylines, crumbling monuments and housing projects, rural poverty and dislocation, formerly middle-class people living hand-to-mouth, and ubiquitous graffiti.

The Greece Book Report Part 1

Crystal clear water, cliffs lined with bright white and blue homes and sunsets so beautiful you think you’re dreaming. It’s safe to say that everywhere you look in Greece is picturesque. This is a country that my husband and I have talked about visiting for years, and it’s definitely one that I recommend putting on your travel list. The people were kind, the sights were breathtaking and the flavors of the food were spectacular.

We began our trip with one day and night in Athens with a mission in mind: see the Acropolis. It’s one of the most iconic historical sites in the world, so to be standing in the ancient citadel next to buildings like the Parthenon was surreal. It’s said to be the place where democracy began. The Acropolis was also known as the center of Ancient Greece. The majestic entranceway to the Acropolis, known as Propylaia, was mesmerizing.

It’s full of grand white marble steps and towering columns. Nearby you can also see an ancient theater, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, built in AD 161, the Temple of Athena Nike, and other historical sites. Just make sure to dress for warm weather if you’re visiting in the summer because it’s very hot on top of the hill. Also be sure to wear shoes that have a strong grip because the steps you climb to get to the top are very slippery.

We worked up an appetite so we headed to one of the most famous vegan restaurants in Athens, Avocado. It was delicious! Between the fresh guacamole, crispy tofu, lemongrass veggie stir fry, and juices and smoothies, I was in heaven! Athens is a city that is very vegan-friendly which was exciting to discover.

After lunch, we visited the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble. It hosted the first ever Olympics, which is why this spot is so famous. At night, we met our friends who happened to also be visiting Greece for a delicious dinner at The Albion. The manager, Christina, created an entire customized vegan dinner for us. The hospitality and ambiance were unmatched. We called it a night to get ready for our journey to Mykonos in the morning.

After a two and a half hour high-speed ferry ride, we arrived in sunny Mykonos. Our hotel, the Semeli, was in the center of town which was perfect for walking through all the action. The thing to do in Mykonos is to pick out a different beach club each day where you swim, have lunch and relax (or sometimes dance) all day long. Some must-visit beach clubs when you are in Mykonos are Principote, Nammos, and Scorpio. While the days are pretty zen, at night the beach clubs turn into actual clubs so you better be ready to put on your party hat!

The Greece Book Report Part 2

Of course we found our vegan spots in Mykonos like Bowl, which is a trendy spot full of local, organic, healthy foods. Their grain bowls, smoothies and juices were unreal! I also became hooked on fava, a popular local dip made from white beans. The manager of The Albion in Athens invited us to their other restaurant, Farma, when she knew we were heading to Mykonos.

She gave us yet another incredibly special dinner at this farm-to-table restaurant in the quiet countryside of the island. Christina created another custom vegan menu and joined us for dinner as we sipped local rosé and learned about each others lives. It was a beautiful night that is one of my favorite memories of the entire trip.

The last stop on our trip was the picturesque Santorini. Within five minutes of being on the island, I realized why it’s one of the most popular honeymoon destinations. It’s calm and quiet, in contrast to the party scene of Mykonos. Everywhere you look screams romance. The Andronis properties on the island are spectacular.

With views overlooking the Aegean Sea and a staff that couldn’t be more welcoming, it was the perfect spot to catch up on some rest and relaxation after the busy first half of the trip. In Santorini you spend the days at different infinity pools and the nights trying different local restaurants. On the final day, we took a boat around the entire island that stopped at the hot springs near the underwater volcano and near the red rock and white sand beach before watching sunset from the water.

Greece was a trip full of many wonderful memories. We celebrated life with friends in Athens and Mykonos, and had a special getaway in Santorini. I’ll never stop craving seeing the world, and to do that with my love, well, that’s just priceless. ❤️

Tommy wants to be a comedy writer? The book reports read like a sixth-grader's "what I did on vacation" writeup. Totally dry and it's obvious he doesn't have a sense of humor or wit. A lot of it also just doesn't make sense. "... you spend the days at different infinity pools and the nights trying different local restaurants." So you don't eat during the day? And of course the restaurants are local. He makes it sound like dinner is a restaurant crawl, when in reality it's just the normal act of eating at a restaurant. I normally wouldn't care so much about someone's writing, but since Tommy makes a big deal of being a writer, I can't believe how pedestrian and reductive it is.

Their sex life is hot and deliciously filthy. Trust me on this one.

The restaurant manager traveled 2 and half hours by fairy to another city to cook another meal for them? Why? That sounds very unusual. He's writing this as a guide for others (wear shoes, it's slippery) but this is not the normal behavior of restaurants in Greece that people should be expecting.

omg guess what's finally on youtube!!!! We're late but last year someone uploaded the entire season of the CW flop reality show High Society from 2010!! That's the show Tommy was featured on as the bf of the gay cast member. This aired in the spring 2010 so I assume it was filmed in the fall of 2009. It seems like Tommy's part was completely scripted. Paul Johnson Calderon at the time was a spoiled, mean, scrawny, feminine, alcoholic smoker so I don't see Tommy being attracted to that. Tommy's acting skills were definitely put to the test but it's hilarious. Most of the people who were on the show ruined their reputations because they came off as so awful. Yes, Tinsley Mortimer who's now on Real Housewives of NYC was on this show too.

I'd love to know if Gio has seen Tommy's work on this show.

If the 100k IG followers visit 10 times each in a month, that is 1 million views, but even if you count people who don't follow him but still click on his stuff, he will be a far cry from 1 million unique visitors (the more important statistic of the two).

To his credit, Tommy is getting an occasional gig, so it is a start. Does the extreme overselling and 'fake it til you make it' approach work, or is it needed for what he is trying to do? Which I am guessing is to try to become some form of celebrity.

An occasional gig would be a nice get when you are 23 or 24, but Tommy is in his early thirties. The extreme padding of the CV looks desperate. And, as you said, r518, he's trying to become "some form" of celebrity. There is no one talent he's trying to foster or develop. He wants to be everything: model, fashion consultant, nutritionist, fitness expert, screenplay writer, equality advocate, etc, etc.

Tommy is so busy at his 88 different careers. He probably hasn’t even had time to vacation in days!

to be fair it's impossible to speak correctly all the time. I constantly hear news and talk show hosts mispronouncing words, using the wrong word at the wrong time and even stumbling over words like what Gio did. As long as it's not frequent for a given host, there's nothing wrong with it. Sometimes our brains just go blank for an instant

One of my favorite ways to start the day is with a warm matcha latte. Matcha is a fine green tea powder that comes from crushing the tea leaves. Aside from the steady stream of caffeine throughout the day (unlike coffee, which often times can cause the crashing effect), it has a bunch of health benefits and is antioxidant-packed. Matcha boosts your metabolism, is packed with magnesium and vitamin C, and is a natural detoxifier for your body.

It’s even found to have tremendous cancer-fighting properties. Matcha is also delicious and adds a punch of flavor to your favorite baked goods! One of my favorite desserts to make is chocolate chip cookies, but sometimes I like to switch them up. Grab some matcha, and start mixing because these cookies taste just as good as they look! Vegan Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups almond flour

2 teaspoons organic matcha powder

3 tablespoons coconut oil (in liquid form)

¼ cup organic maple syrup

½ teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (note: this helps to moisten the batter, you don’t even taste this)

½ cup vegan dark chocolate chips from Enjoy Life

Optional: A small dash organic vanilla extract

Total Time

25 min

Prep Time

10 min

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the dry ingredients (almond flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and sea salt) into a large bowl. Add the wet ingredients (coconut oil, maple syrup, and apple cider vinegar) and spread evenly on top of the dry ingredients. Mix until a smooth batter is formed. (Note: the batter will seem a little dry when mixing, but once thoroughly mixed, a slightly sticky batter will form). Add in the chocolate chips and fold into the batter.

On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, use your hands to create small balls of dough, evenly pressed into a cookie shape. (Note: the cookies won’t expand very much in the oven so make sure you keep the sizes small and proportional).

Bake for 10–12 minutes.

Cool for twenty minutes before serving.

Enjoy!

The opening of the segment is at the link below. Rachael introduced Tommy as a "lifestyle expert." But she never said that Tommy was joining the show as any sort of a regular contributor, which is how Tommy has portrayed it. Gio has also played along with the nonsense, introducing Tommy as the "lifestyle expert for the Rachael Ray Show" when Gio and Tommy co-hosted the ABC Pride special.

Tommy filmed a second segment back in April or May, but that segment has never aired. Tommy mentioned it again a month or two ago, saying that he was told it would air sometime "later in the summer." Do the math. The Rachael Ray show is a daily show. The segment was filmed months ago. It still hasn't aired. Clearly, the Rachael Ray Show isn't all that thrilled about Tommy and never had any intention of making him a regular fixture on the show.

The Rachael Ray Show definitely was a big "get" for Tommy, but it seems that, like everything else Tommy has tried, it quickly fizzled.
