Stacy is playing both but she’s already left. The show was thrilled with Stacy’s performance and was open to her doing more but now with Eileen out at Y&R, Stacy could be out of a job. Days wrote all of this figuring Eileen would be available. When Y&R said no, the story was pushed back a few months and a recast was done. The show was stuck as they already led up to this storyline happening. There was no other option. Eileen would have blown the roof off of this storyline. It’s THAT good.

Sony distributes Days. Corday produces Days for Sony. Sony owns and distributes Y&R and produces it through its CPH (Columbia Pictures Holdings) division with Corday Productions also owning a piece of Y&R.

My prediction, based on the spoilers above, is that Kayla tells the Mexican Murderess that she cannot have any more children, because of her prison injuries, thus prompting vengeful Gabi to make sure it looks like Amy Steel's baby's father is Stefan O.

I always thought Kyle Lowder and Scott DeFreitas could have been brothers. Or at least played them on daytime.

I think I actually did read some of those circa 2002!

Ron loves soap opera and it shows in his writing. Is he perfect? Far from it, but he is the best writer days has had in 10 years. Based on what I've seen on other boards, the people who don't like Ron don't like him based on agenda driven fanbase bullshit.

If you think Days has crappy writing and betrays history and lacks cohesion, please tune in to one of the other soaps and you will be appalled at the mess they're in. In my opinion, the only thing that keeps Days from total greatness is the 6 month ahead taping schedule. People complain about the budget and that is a factor, but that taping schedule damages the show because it doesn't allow the writers to tweak current story based on audience reaction and the way actors are playing the material.

Taping so close to air time has always allowed soaps to quickly adjust and Days can't do that. As for the budget, it would nice if Days had a few more pennies, but they aren't filming in Peapack, so that's something right there.

I'm sorry that some of you don't find Ron's writing up to snuff, but compared to the other 3 soaps we have the best one currently in the game, writing our show.

I fucking love this Gabi! Her rage is barely hidden age she listens to the self-absorbed Prairie Girl drone on . I am so here for Gabi exacting payback on Stefan & Abby. After making them pay I could see her hatred of Stefan turning into a possible love match. TC has much better chemistry with CB than he ever had with MM.

I really loved the scenes where Horita said I love you.

I pisses me off that Days didn't negotiate with SN. WTF couldn't they cut Kate's much higher episode count & give some to SN? I for one think Kate is on too much.

And like you suggest, I, too, would like to see a recast for Paul. I think it would be better if there were a mini-break between actors, though. First 6 months of Ron's tenure was great. Bonnie and Hattie assuming Adrienne and Marlena's identities, Will returning, Sami coming back to find Will. Days was must see TV for me during that period.

Second 6 months has been more of a mixed bag. The Stefan DiMera character has pretty much been a bust. Abigail's multiple personalities didn't really fly. Rafe and Hope were yawn worthy.

Despite that, show is infinitely better now than it was under Dena. That's what the Ron haters keep forgetting.

Every actor has his or her go to tics and crutches when performing. It's up to the director to work all of that stuff out during rehearsals. We continue to see these things, so I'm assuming that the director is fine with what Chandler is doing. Personally, I think it gives the character an "aw shucks" kind of charm that makes him relatable.

Grinning and smirking during serious scenes isn’t an acting tic.

Chandler played the scenes with Leo and Sonny exactly as Will sould. Correct emotions all the way with no smirking or eye rubbing.

I think CM's acting only reflected how ridiculous this story line was. I prefer CM in more intimate one-on-one scenes. FCF was also over-acting his outrage, while GR was camping it up like it was his last day at work (which I suppose it was). The whole setup was shaky and made minimal sense.

R367 Killing Leo was just to quickly abort the nonsensical sexual harassment law suit and it was an opportunity resurrect WilSon at the same time through their shared secret. But it just all fell flat. Chambo and FCF still have some chemistry but only the friend kind, so not enough to make it interesting. It's actually distracting to have them talk about Will getting his memory back while moving Leo's dead body. Mixing the two plots weakened them both.

A few points...

1. If you are looking for a soap opera message board, DL isn't it. This is a thread on a gay message board that we are allowed to have here because Muriel relaxed her rules a skosh. So this thread is going to cast a wide net. You are going to cover storylines, actors and whatever else people want to discuss. 2. Stephen Nichols is an idiot. He wants two days a week, the show wants to give him one day a week. But here's the deal. Chandler is back on Days because he was a fan favorite and Chandler has bills to pay. I think Days is the last place that Chandler wants to be, but it beats waiting tables and gives him a platform to talk about issues that are important to him. Days schedule allows him to audition and keep acting and a host of other perks. Plus he's cute and nice and a progressive democrat, which is going to give him a pass from a lot of people on DL.

Freddie has committed the ultimate gay sin of putting on a few extra lbs. Freddie is hardly the only actor on this site that gets picked on for putting on weight. Look at some of the other non soap threads. This place is brutal when it comes to weight. Hell, gay people in general - in real life - are brutal when it comes to weight. It's just something we do. They also go after Freddie because of his side hustles, but Freddie brings that on himself.

When Will and Sonny are together, it's always about what they had once and recapturing that magic, instead of developing new feelings about each other from the chemistry they have now (which unfortunately, is next to none). With Ben and Will, you can write a crazy soapy story from murder to love with just the dynamic they have now. Sonny is better as the trouble-making ex.

r447 Will and Ben have really good chemistry. I hope at the very least those two become friends on the show since Ben seemed slightly obsessed with Will in his scenes with Marlena and Ben looking longingly at his photo seemed to be foreshadowing something.

I tend to think that they will not reunite WilSon permanently. I get revisiting the pair and having Will realize it's not working and moving on, but long term I don't think they work since the chemistry is gone imo. Chandler sparks with a lot of people on this show, especially the men. EJ, Chad and Ben are a few examples. I think the show is going to have to reintroduce another character for him, maybe someone he knew when in Memphis? or a legacy character that can be brought on. Personally, I'd love for Will to end up with Alexander Kiriakis (Sonny's older brother) it would be so soapy and Alex has been teased for YEARS. Have Alex claim Titan and steal Sonny's ex-husband while Sonny eats cake and whines while plotting against them. Chandler is too hot, and Will is too young not to have passion with his other person in his pairing. I can see Ron having a new person cast after a test run of WilSon (if he already isn't working on it now).

Though Will is ready to help as a friend, I don't feel like WilSon can (re-)build their attraction from that.

EJ was like that by the time they finally settled Sami and him down. I think WilSon is too boring of a pairing not to mention chemistry free, and I can't see where they will go story wise if kept together long term. They really need to bring on another contract gay to replace the loss of Paul for Will.

This is my problem with Paul and Will. Paul is now what Sonny was until Dena changed the character and Ron continued the job. Even the dialogue is straight out of classic Wilson with the "Are you sure and Very". The only thing missing was motivation, especially on Paul's part. I'm gonna need for Will to remember how he viewed Paul before the strangling, especially since Paul has developed his own amnesia where old Will is concerned.

Will is main lead in the gay storyline so the gay story will always be about him just like Sami and Marlena led their respective storylines for years, and Will needs an equally strong/attractive leading man. I agree, that Paul has been neutered, and I also loved Paul being pushy with Will. I think they changed Paul due to them also having to change Sonny into his CEO/mobster type when Will "died" so they needed a balance to that and we got this version of bland Paul.

lol I remember a Soap Opera Digest article in the 90s that made fun of how low income people on soaps didn't wear the same clothes twice. Soaps for a long time did the thing about lower income people living in boarding houses like the Brady Pub rooms or Kelly's rooms on General Hospital. There was also the "poor farm" families who had multiple people living in the farm houses like the Snyders on As The World Turns.

One thing Ron takes personally is an actor fucking with the work of his scriptwriters.. BF has an over inflated ego & superiority complex.

Ad libbing, inserting subtexts, and throwing other actors off...I can see that from Future Razzie Winner BF. He seems the type.

Given that there is no time for rehearsals and reshoots, it's really unfair to the others.
