The few times I've seen Harper look like an ordinary kid have been in pics with just her and Armie. I suspect that when Liz is around, which is most of the time, everything about the kids' day is staged and styled and organized to the nth degree, so as to be fit for sharing on IG. Even their Christmas morning pics looked like a photo shoot instead of family photographs, with the matching pajamas, multiple outfit changes and perfect hair and makeup. As R34 said, these children function as accessories as much as a son and daughter to Liz. I totally expect that she will get both kids into acting within a few years, so as to maximize their contribution to her brand.

On another note - I just finished the book upon which this movie of Armie's is based. It will be interesting to see how much of the book gets used for the film - for one, it's pretty short, and it ends right as things get interesting, which I don't think will work for a movie. Assuming Dakota is playing the girlfriend and Zazie the friend Armie's character wants, both are pretty unremarkable characters in the book - typical love interest roles. So unless they get beefed up for the movie (which rarely happens with female roles), I think it's safe to say a big reason for Dakota taking this part was to work with Armie and with the director. But if her character is pretty much in line with the girlfriend in the book, no wonder her shooting schedule is so light - there's just not much to it.

Given the name and avi, it seems like it would be a CMBYN fan account. But it's private and has 2 followers (one of them being Ashton) and 4 following. It's Armie that is taking jobs that take months in NOLA or NYC or abroad or whatever. it was made to JOKE about the idea of Armie and Dakota getting together. The whole thing is now and has always been a joke, based on Armie's freakiness and issues and those pics of him and a googly-eyed Dakota in Aspen, along with the fact that she has been in his orbit so frequently in recent months. But I seriously doubt many of us truly believe something is going to happen with them.

Even as recently as late last year, we wouldn't have had to actually explain any of that - but the sensibilities of these threads have been eroded since then. Whenever you see someone bleating that we're not being nice about Elizabeth (as if she knows or cares about anything that's said here), which happens way too often - that's pure Tumblrina, not DLer. It's sad to see, especially for those of us who remember how fun the early Armie threads were, and how everybody seemed in on the joke and operating with a DLer's sense of humor back then.

Well said R597. I enjoy the pointless bitchery, and the silliness of our absurd hope that Dakota will be able to seduce the manchild away from the clutches of the overbearing birdbrain. It feels like we have to defend our right to be assholes all of a sudden. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen (I'm looking at you Liz, and any Bird Bakery employees tasked with trawling the interwebs to defend the shiny image of the delusional queen).
