I've been watching this on Starz. Why didn't you guys tell me there was homosex on this show? I started watching for the delicious Tobias Menzies and it's really paid off!

We've been discussing it in the thread below. I still love it a lot.
Some would say we shouldn't call rape sex (because rape is rape and nothing else) so looking at it like that, there isn't any homosex in this show.

It became consensual at the end.

Can we just stop with the mind twisting, please? Sex can never be consensual when one person is a jailer, and the other a prisoner who is also in delirium from severe torture. It was rape from beginning to end.
Let's focus on positive representations of homo sex in other shows instead. I love this show but the source material is of its time; you can only do so much modernizing when trying to adapt it for TV.

Jamie was shock when his prostate has tickled in the end. He must have a naturally lose hole to enjoy his first penetration.

In episode 1 of season 3 Jamie and Black Jack end up in a homoerotic embrace on the battlefield!

I caught an episode where a guard was trying to woo Jamie with extravagant dinners and other favors. After eating dinner once the guard put his hand on Jamie's and Jamie harshly rebuffed his advances. Is he the one who raped Jamie?

Jamie was raped by a British soldier named Jack Randall.

Season 4 teaser is out but that's about it. There's little to discuss for now, at least until the trailer is out.

Is the historic info on daily life accurate? Just curious, it is the most interesting part to me.

r10 Here's a nice interview with the historical advisor for this show.

I assume you're talking about Lord John. He's gay and Gabaldon has written a book series about him. Unfortunately I doubt Jamie ever had sex with him. I've never read any Outlander novels but I did read at least one or two Lord John novels years ago. Lord John wouldn't probably rape anyone, he's one of the good guys. I vaguely remember him having sex with teen boys in the novels but he's no Black Jack.
