Rippon's also U.S., and working the U.S. media, while Radford is Canadian. Radford has a boyfriend, an Olympic bronze, and achieved what he wanted to in sport, including two World titles. Compared to where he came from, a totally middling skater who transformed his career when he paired with Duhamel (and he did the same for her), I don't think he has Rippon's motivation to be a media star. Rippon used to work a totally different look - Art Garfunkle crossed with Cherub. But he has always been campy, and Radford isn't.
