That’s a very honest statement and I’m sure a very frustrating predicament for him. I hope things begin to shift for him soon in terms of the types of projects he gets offered. He clearly wants to stretch himself, but you can’t do that if there are no opportunities to do so.

He seems to be in the right trajectory since filming call me,but I feel he will never be really a star and that's probably the best thing for him because hollywood likes the "american dream" kinda stories for their actors not someone who comes from his rich background (even if he didn't benefit from it or even if his fam is super shitty),but taking unusual roles and focusing on the performance without much award fanfare will reward him in the long run.

On a slightly positive note, he's doing well among indie producers. Obviously the money is less, but a career path like Robert Pattinson wouldn't hurt.

Type casting is hard to break out of but it can done. Maybe it's time for Armie to make some management changes. And be patient and more selective. It's a good, complex lead role, rare for young male actors. The director has done good and not so good but Joel Edgerton tends to do well with films he writes. Netflix seems like a bad thing on paper but it takes the box office pressure off with him being in the lead. Ultimately just glad it's nothing superhero related though.
