It seems to be financial related which is interesting because he just had another kid.

In another thread someone who said they knew him posted about how he sold out Amanda Bynes during her addiction/mental illness breakdown. Apparently Amanda considered him a friend and he took advantage of that. But he is someone who I would have difficulty feeling sympathy for even if that story wasn't true.

I'm in my late 40's and old enough to remember when the whole phenomena of online gossip blogs was a new thing. Perez and two or three others had great timing. He hung out with Paris Hilton sort of like her goupie and mascot. How he ever managed to hook up with her rich, entitled drug addled group of friends is anyone's guess but she collected people and loved to party.

That's how he gained access to celebrities. People like the Olsens, Nicole Ritchie, the Davis brothers who were and still are horrible pigs, Mischa Barton, Cisco Adler, even Lindsay Lohan used to chase after that crew because she wanted to be thought of as part of the cool kids' clique. Oddly Perez never took a shine to the Kardashians, back then when Kim was Paris's "shadow." LOL!

The drugs were everywhere and they had Real Estate people who let them party in vacant houses in the Hollywood Hills. Paris actually paid Perez to be her publicist at one time. He conned several fools once he had her sponsorship. In the beginning she spread a lot of $$$ around to become famous.

Perez rode that into developing his gossip blog. He wanted to become the Gay Oprah. Yes. He had his "office" at the Coffee Bean, and started plying his trade. Eventually he was throwing these big parties (for money ) where people paid to get in and he promoted clubs too, and then he started sponsoring music groups thinking he would be a Simon Cowell.

But he has an obnoxious personality, he's needy and mean and spiteful. He always managed to get in his own way with his grandiose plans. I don't feel a bit sorry for him. He has a college degree and he's had a lot of opportunities. He wanted to be a celebrity, not just cover them. He wanted his own TV show. He wanted to be picked up by E! and cover the Oscars, he even hoped to be a semi regular on The View or one of the morning talk shows on NBC or ABC or even CBS. He tried to pitch his own reality show. Still is trying with that one. He even tried to go to NYC and break into Broadway.

Now if it weren't for this thread, I scarcely remember he exists. A lot of us read his gossip in the beginning and we enjoyed a lot of his cruelty. I haven't been to his blog or kept up with news about him for years. He was always cruel and dishonest. Put it another way. Jared Eng and Perez started out around the same time. Jared is Gay too. I read Just Jared severl times a day. I'm sure Perez must hate him too. Enough said.

It didn't last.

He also tried to build up his own stable of new recording artists and bands. he was actually, at some point, making money. He hired an agent and started guesting on TV shows. He has been pitching his own Gay reality show about himself and his kids and his mother and no one will touch it. Not because it's a bad idea, but because it's Perez who is a legend his own mind.

Perez was and is a snake. It's his personality deficiencies not his brains or even his looks that hold him back. He got sued for stealing pictures from pap sites and photo agencies and not crediting them or paying for them. He shit all over people he was supposed to be helping. He's a back stabber and did foolish things, relying on his own sense of his importance to get cooperation, "confiding" in people who went back and told the target Perez was undermining them. Perez will land on his feet. He will re invent himself once again and he will be fine. His bullshit performances not withstandng. I find him repulsive.

Perez was very lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

My impression was that he was bigger than her when their relationship started. His website got millions of visitors a day then (that would soon change) and she was not well known. I first heard of her on his site.
