Huh. R2 is very similar to a weird Datalounge posted that was surfaced on Reddit. Redditors wondered if posts like this were some kind of code being used for nefarious purposes.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 2, 2017 3:26 AM |
Pretty sure r2 is Matt. He's posted that before when he was on a spamming bender.

Okay, I found a thread from last March with that stupid gibberish song. Whoever is doing it has been here a while. Didn't PPSM used to spam lyrics, too?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 2, 2017 3:37 AM |
The post at R2 has been around since 2013 at least and apparently has meaning to the cognoscenti.
I have my own ideas what it's signaling but I'll keep that to myself.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 2, 2017 3:46 AM |
Hint: It's not the lyrics to any known song.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 2, 2017 3:48 AM |
I saw theories on Reddit but I think it's probably something semi innocuous, like a spammer testing their scripts. The lyrics have changed over the years, too.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 2, 2017 3:53 AM |
Kennith, what is the frequency?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 2, 2017 3:53 AM |
R10/R11, what do you think it means?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 2, 2017 3:58 AM |
It's not spam. It's only found on DL and rarely here. (The Redditor copied it from here.)
The messages are linked to variations.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 2, 2017 4:00 AM |
Compare R2 to the version found at R9 and the version found in the first reply below.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 2, 2017 4:07 AM |
Interesting. Are those encryption keys?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 2, 2017 4:10 AM |
Well, the person who posted the lyrics tonight is also over in the Atkins thread (he posted "Link,. please"), so it's not just a random drive-by.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 2, 2017 4:18 AM |
Huh, R18, that’s strange. Why does he post these lyrics? Is it the same poster posting this stuff for years?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 2, 2017 4:21 AM |
Strange events are escalating everywhere, why not here? Wild days ahead!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 2, 2017 4:23 AM |
This is the perfect site for this. Big enough that it would fade into the background noise. Small and specialized enough that no one who shouldn't see it would see it. DL content is often bizarre so this would raise any eyebrows.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 2, 2017 8:11 PM |
R22 that thread has 500+ replies. Where did you find it? How did you find the 2012 thread? Google often won't show DL threads before 2013.

R25 I wasn't familiar with the numbers stations but have you heard about UVB-76?
[quote]UVB-76, also known as "The Buzzer", is the nickname given by radio listeners to a shortwave radio station that broadcasts on the frequency 4625 kHz.[1][2] It broadcasts a short, monotonous buzz tone , repeating at a rate of approximately 25 tones per minute, 24 hours per day.[1]Sometimes, the buzzer signal is interrupted and a voice transmission in Russian takes place.[3] The first reports were made of a station on this frequency in 1973.

You do realize that spies and such have one time keys and they have to have ways of knowing which key on which day to use. So they use innocent or even nonsensical messages to convey what key to use, on which day at which time.
Now watch, something will happen in North Korea soon.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 3, 2017 5:49 PM |
So spies are using Datalounge to communicate?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 3, 2017 7:36 PM |
I dunno, but let me guess, OP.
73 is your age. 526 is your weight.
???
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 3, 2017 7:49 PM |
The version at R22 (located at reply 432 on that thread) has some variations as well. For example, it's the first time I've seen a verb just before the final line:
"Bubble, lubba, lubba lipton is
A simulated Holland treat"
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 3, 2017 11:56 PM |
R23, I actually did find it by Googling. I just sifted through all the results to locate the oldest posting. Most of the posts are from 2013 (random threads) but the old post I located was on that thread from 2012 (7/26/12, to be exact).

HD 73526 is a yellow dwarf star (G6V) about 330 light-years away in the constellation Vela. The star is cooler, more luminous, similar mass, and larger than our Sun. This star is 22% older than our Sun and with metallicity nearly doubled with the Sun, based on its abundance of iron.

The second part is correct.
The first part is his IQ.

The OP of this thread started a pro-Trump troll thread not too long ago so I'm thinking this was also a troll. Or maybe a note to himself to organize his online trolling schedule.
