It's not just straight women, it's lesbians, too. Lesbians think they own everything gay men create, so they don't think of themselves as invaders in gay areas. But try be a gay man in a predominantly lesbian space. You're going to be told you're LITERALLY RAPING lesbian bodies.

I know a gay guy who had a great relationship with lesbian feminists, siding with them in their skirmishes with trans activists and whatnot. Someday, however, the lezzies decided he had no place socializing with feminists, and so decided to lift his slutty pictures from his social media accounts and post them on their Facebook pages and groups until he assured them he wouldn't want to be with feminists anymore -- because who would in his place?

This is a much bigger display of harassment and bigotry than anything a gay guy has done to a woman on DL, but don't expect the our dear dour dykes (and the gashy breeders with them) to continue to moan about how hard they have it on DL, and with gay men in general, with no acknowledgement of their own homophobia.

What has enraged me are the female posters (most said they were straight) who have been posting that childhood sexual abuse either doesn't happen to boys, or when it does, it's not serious. Same thing with the whole "men can fight back" trolls. One poster (in a thread about sexual assault against gay men) was shut down by a woman who called him liar and said the he and others were guilty of taking attention away from women. Really, bitch? A thread about assault on a gay message board? That pissed me off.

Other than those instances, I don't mind the lezzies or most of the straight women posters.

Any lesbian will tell you that there are always a few straight men hanging around their scene as camp followers because they dig the idea of two chicks together, and the #1 position of "lesbian" on the pornhub search function bears that out. I think think the discomfort of gay men at women in our spaces is because we instinctively sense the sexual component to their interest, no matter how much they deny it. Nobody likes being fetishized without permission. Maybe not all of them, but a much larger percentage than admit it. The periodic "why do women read and write M/M" threads really bring them out in force.

It seems to be getting worse lately--in addition to the usual threads on topics that belong on iVillage or CafeMom like child abuse and celebrities gay men don't give a shit about, there are the LSA trolls and #Metoo trolls who I think are probably behind the responses minimizing the effects of rape and abuse on male victims. Viewed in that context, all the recent frau threads look like push-back. They sure do hate being called Frau.
