I live a block from Stephanie's new house (the one with the pool). It was used as a set a few years ago where Billy Zane played some hotshot attorney in a TV show/miniseries. The previous owner had to rent the house out as a 'party house" to make ends meet. The neighbors complained about the wild parties and the multitude of cars blocking the street. It is on a narrow private street, just across from LeaAnne's outspoken wealthy friend residence.

47 here again. It is the house with the inside pool in the living room that I was referring to. The new house is in the Turtle Creek area of Dallas. Their prior house was in Irving. I take my dog to the dog park where the housewives had that argument last week. The show is not great, but it is fun to see what scenes were filmed in my neighborhood

47 here again. I never heard of Dr Mark before this show, but I don't run in those social circles either. He thinks highly of himself, doesn't he? Dr Mark's office is pretty close to Stephanie's new house. I have volunteered for the "Grace Project" charity for HIV+ women. Leanne does a lot of volunteering for them. There was a florist boutique that Leanne attended the opening of, I think they designed her hat to wear to the Mad Hatter's Tea. That florist went out of business about two weeks ago. The florist was located in Cedar Springs, across from the Gay bars. I haven't really eaten at any of the restaurants shown.

R58 I think it's Housewives fatigue in general. Also, the fact that there wasn't a real must-see moment from last season to keep people talking about this city. OC is terrible this season, so as a lead in, it's probably not doing much for the Dallas ladies.

Its a fine show but I agree with R59. Housewives fatigue is what plagued the Miami version which was actually really good.

The other new launch - Potomac - is not really doing great either. It was clear with this season that the bulk of its audience comes with the ATL lead in. When ATL finished, Potomac collapsed.

Not in the video but I can't believe Cary and Dr. Mark are having sex 5 times a week. In another part on WWHL Cary mentioned how Mark has 2 older kids (17 and 21) from a previous marriage.

Unpopular opinion: I really like Cary. I don't know what it is, but I dig her. She doesn't seem to take this shit too seriously but also it's clear she just wants to be as close to her daughter as possible and I completely understand her attitude toward Mark.

The two new women are awful casting choices. They don't fit in with the other ladies at all. The blonde is a terrible performer--she can't make a fight or argument look even the tiniest bit real. It's like she's reading cue cards.

My biggest eye roll moment when one of them tried to break up a fight by announcing a group trip to Mexico. I know it's fake but can't they put a tiny bit of effort into making it seem real?

R61 I think your right. I think fans of housewives shows are so invested in the franchise's that have been around for years like Atlanta, NYC, Beverly hills, and OC! That when it comes to Dallas and Potomac. It's just really a lot to get invested in the new wives and learning new personalities and new drama with new settings. That you just kinda stick with watching the cities that have been around for the last decade or so. I watch a little bit of the new shows. But I'm not as invested in them as I am with, Atlanta, NYC, and Beverly hills. I don't really care for the OC franchise. They've always been very boring and depressing to me to watch. Which is why I don't watch them. Beverly hills is OK. But my two favorites are Atlanta and NYC!! Which is why I'm really looking forward to season 10 of Atlanta. I have a feeling season ten is going to be epic.

I think LeeAnne understands this is a reality tv show and so drama is needed. Her problem is most viewers can see how contrived it is. No wonder her acting career in hollywood never took off. Other than Brandi vs. Kameron, there are no other feuds that don't involve LeeAnne.

This is just a guess, but my take was that Cary probably did say that the doctor had patients that had died on the operating table. (I doubt she would say the doctor KILLED them. Everyone even semi-involved in the medical world knows there can be many circumstances that contribute to a death.) However, whatever she said, it was off camera, and I can see why she would lie because she doesn't want to damage her or her husband's reputation in the medical community in Dallas.

She and Mark were on Good Morning Texas, the local morning show, shilling their practice a couple weeks back.

I hope they don't cancel this iteration. This show is more enjoyable than O.C., New Jersey, and Potomac. I think the lower ratings are due to Housewives fatigue as r151 mentioned and the fact that this airs at 10pm. Most of the other Housewives shows are on an hour or two earlier.

Without the Atlanta lead in, Potomac does not do much better than Dallas.

Dallas needs to be paired with NY. Having it paired with OC is not doing it any favors, especially because viewers are pretty much over OC. The stagnant ratings for OC are basically just loyal fans.

People must just watch OC out of habit then because the ratings are still good.

Dallas is very enjoyable. Also, their ratings are actually pretty solid so I think we'll get another season.

Andy Cohen isn't doing enough to propel the show. The season is more than half over and he hasn't had Leeanne, Kameron or D'andra on his WWHL show yet. He did have on Brandi, Stephanie and Cary but they were all crammed onto the same night. WWHL is where a lot of the back and forth between cast members on various shows happens. 1 guest will say something and then someone else watching from home will tweet a reply.

Dallas ratings may be bad, but with continued critical appeal, plus the relative cheapness to produce another season (it's Dallas, for God's sake, not LA) probably makes it a nice transition series between the bigger franchises. It worked PERFECTLY as a nice little 12 episode, end of summer, show. I can't imagine all the ladies getting paid anything more than a couple hundred thousand combined. (Probably 30k each for the season)

So LeeAnne claims she won't be on season 3. I don't know if that means the show is getting canceled, she was fired or she decided to take a break. Or she could be just bluffing.
