He's one of my favorite actors, and seems like a very cool person off-screen, as well.
That's why I was kinda surprised that he didn't participate in the Lord of the Rings reunion, for Entertainment Weekly.
Is he pissed at Peter Jackson, or has he just decided to "move on".
Anyone have some scoop?

Viggo is one of the sexiest actors of all times
|by Anonymous||reply 3||12/22/2012|
I'll make a list with 7 actors i consider highly sexy...
Benicio Del Toro
Guys what do you think of it?
(By the way i'm pretty sure that the first two know how to satisfy you in bed, i'm pretty sure that they fuck incredibly...)
|by Anonymous||reply 4||12/22/2012|
Keanu Reeves is very sexy too, but i'm not sure he is very giving in bed...lol

Viggo is the epitome of sexiness

Viggo was a last minute replacement on LOTR
Stuart Townsend (Charlize Theron's ex) actually had the part. After the table read, he was fired and left New Zealand within 24 hours. TPTB felt he wasn't right for the part after the initial read.
Flash forward to 2004 Stuart has to sit in the front row at the Oscars and watch LOTR win Oscar after Oscar after Oscar including Best Picture & Best Director. He was there to support Charlize who won Best Actress that night.
It must of been painful.

His character wasn't even born yet in The Hobbit.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||12/22/2012|
Viggo Mortensen with Maria Bello was one of the hottest couples i have ever seen beyond the screen and the sex scene in 'History of Violence' was too INTENSE and SENSATIONAL
|by Anonymous||reply 13||12/22/2012|
The three best movies that Viggo has appeared except for the trilogy of 'The Lord of The Rings' in my opinion are:
The Reflecting Skin
A History of Violence
The Portrait of a Lady
Which are the best movies that Viggo took part in your opinion, guys...(leave out the 'Lord of the Rings')

I was a contract database manager on. a project with Viggo's brother. I don't have much but apparently, it was Viggo's son who persuaded him to audition for LOTR, and I gathered he (Viggo) would have let the chance to audition go if not for his son's fascination with the trilogy. And so far, Viggo's favorite of his films is Hidalgo.

Viggo has an inner beauty and his sex appeal is so obvious...

TPTB? Do you have to be LOTR fan to decipher this?

Viggo's three best films
History of Violence
Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/22/2012|
I liked him both in A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE and EASTERN PROMISES (HOV and EP for R8). In the latter one he and Vincent Cassel (VC for R8) had great chemistry.

Him naked, dick flopping around, demolishing thugs in a Russian banya. Best scene EVAH!

To the poster who amazingly seems not to know: TPTB = the powers that be. Used on any number of threads.
To the poster who asked what other films of Viggo's people like, I would say A Perfect Murder was pretty good (yes, I know; Gwyneth!)

USED to be hot. Not aging well.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||01/12/2013|
R26, your mouth is not aging well.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||01/12/2013|
He did full frontal in a film called Indian Runner.
It seems like a lot of people don't know of it.

Check him out in A Walk on the Moon (1998) with Diane Lane, directed by DL fave Tony Goldwyn.

He looks way better with a scruffy unshaven look for some reason.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||01/12/2013|
He only looks good in R3. He looks OLD in the others.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||01/13/2013|
TPTB is a Buffy reference.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||01/13/2013|
S-E-X-Y and a really good actor
|by Anonymous||reply 37||01/17/2013|
He is poetic and masculine.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||01/17/2013|
I want more movies with him
|by Anonymous||reply 41||01/17/2013|
Viggo is cultivated and special
Not a nerd though. Phew...
|by Anonymous||reply 42||01/17/2013|
Viggo if you managed to keep a relationship, you would be PERFECT. I wonder why a man like him can't be with a woman for the rest of his life? What a pity.
Viggo, Viggo, Viggo!
|by Anonymous||reply 43||01/17/2013|
In his prime in Walk on the Moon. That was a LONG time ago. Now is a crone.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||01/18/2013|
His sex appeal is incredible. He is so...full of sexiness.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||02/11/2013|
Nope. Viggo is not gay but he is not afraid to kiss a man in the mouth.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||02/11/2013|
OMFG, r15 I love you!
The Reflecting Skin is one of my all time favourite movies. I'm surprised anyone even remembers it, it was so weird (in a good way).
The rumour in one of the great, nuked gossip threads was that he was the sub in an BDSM relationship with David Cronenberg.
I thought it was odd, but who knows.
I'd love to see him work more with Cronenberg; he's hit and miss, but when his films hit, they are great.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||02/11/2013|
R49 i love you too baby!
Viggo is a sexy, talented man
|by Anonymous||reply 50||02/13/2013|
He is too hot and sexy to be true! I was drooling when I saw him in LOTR. Viggo as Aragorn is the hottest and smexiest character in LOTR by far!! Legolas is is too girly for my taste but Aragorn is a total hunk and so manly! He has that rugged, brooding and mysterious and his dirty and wet look makes him so attractive and sexy! I could have Viggo spread on a bread. :))
|by Anonymous||reply 51||02/11/2014|
Townsend wasn't fired after the initial read. They'd started filming, and there were scenes that needed to be re-shot.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||02/11/2014|

Yes, it must HAVE.
