I am surprised that there is no thread on this already. Tom Cruise will never escape the rumors and he will go down in hollywood history as a closet case. All his efforts are for naught.
National Enquirer Cover Story - Tom Cruise Gay Rumors True

Hi OP, I started the other thread about this. Can you paste the article into DL? because the NE site isn't accessible to some countries outside the US...

David!!! Get me a baby to rescue out of a burning building! NOW!!!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 22, 2010 12:22 AM |
I can't find anything on there about Tom Cruise, but Heather Locklear was arrested for a hit-and-run, or something.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 22, 2010 12:40 AM |
Is he fucking Justin Bieber? Give us the details!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 22, 2010 12:42 AM |
Where is the Tom story?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 22, 2010 12:47 AM |
There's no story. On the right, above a subscription link, there is a cover with Tom Cruise and wife pictured and a caption about "gay lies." You can't really tell how old or new the cover is.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 22, 2010 12:48 AM |
R3, look on your left hand side. There is a small photo of the front page.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 22, 2010 12:48 AM |
It's the current issue. I saw it in the news stand.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 22, 2010 12:52 AM |
National Enquirer cover
The National Enquirer reports on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes marriage, saying Tom has made “shocking confessions” about male lovers and drug use.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 22, 2010 12:54 AM |
Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Who gives a rat's ass what any middle aged man does to get his jollies?
If The Enquirer story is true, it's 30 years too late for anyone with taste to care.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 22, 2010 1:17 AM |
R10, An, no one would care if you came out but plenty of people with and without taste would care.
It would be vindication for the gay community. It would expose the hoops people are willing to jump to avoid the discrimination that comes with being gay.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 22, 2010 1:28 AM |
Tom is not gay! Tom is not gay! Please get this straight. He is married and has a child. (which he fathered with his own very masculine sperm!!) He is a very heterosexual man and is a big big BIG movie star!
However, if he decides to leave our church, all bets are off.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 22, 2010 1:31 AM |
Is he the one coming out on May 5th?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 22, 2010 1:32 AM |
It would still have an impact but does nothing for the trials and challenges that gays have had to endure for the PAST thirty years that he has been a star.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 22, 2010 1:34 AM |
Cruise and tRavo,ta aren't gay
They've been saying this shit about htem for years now.
No proof. Except for Travolta kissing his assistant. Like men don't kiss their friends.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 22, 2010 1:40 AM |
There's no good flag for you, R15! Like, there's no WTF ? flag. That would do!

R10- get off the fucking GOSSIP board, ASSHOLE!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 22, 2010 2:13 AM |
I don't care whether Tom Cruise is gay or not other than it would make the public realize, as other posters have noted, that there is such a stigma associated with homosexuality, at least in Cruise's view, that he would go to such pains (marriages, lawsuits, etc.) to hide it. That may raise public awareness that it should not be something about which one should be ashamed or hide. If one of the biggest movie stars, who was a symbol of masculinity and who was adored and admired for years until he started acting publicly weird, is gay, and the public made him a star, then perhaps they can start accepting that it's fine for anyone to be a homosexual: sons, daughters, clerics, co-workers, public servants. It may be a long road, but it would be a step in the right direction.
What I do care about Tom Cruise is at 4:47 of this video: his amazing ass.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 22, 2010 2:13 AM |
actually, r21, he deserves to be outed.
And big time.
He perpetuates the myth that gay men must hide in the closet and lie about themselves to be "accepted".
He's been skirting the issue for years.
Let's see how this plays out....
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 22, 2010 2:18 AM |
Totally agree with R22.
Staying in the closet and covering up screams the "shame of homosexuality". There is no shme in being gay of lesbian.
It is who we are.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 22, 2010 3:31 AM |
Okay r10 (Bitch), whatever! I simply want people to log into the National Enquirer. Yawnnnnnnnn
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 22, 2010 3:57 AM |
r19 - I remember that posted a long time ago too and am still waiting for the answer.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 22, 2010 4:01 AM |
Fifteen years ago, I was at a small social gathering where I was introduced to Tom Cruise's partner also named Tom. He was a real estate attorney. A nice looking guy but not into "Sharing Tales". Very gracisous but kept diverting questions away from Cruise. He seemed like the real deal because of details he shared that Cruise friends knew to be true.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 22, 2010 4:02 AM |
Tom doesn't have his eye on Bieber. He has the hots for Taylor Lautner.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 22, 2010 4:17 AM |
So if Cruise was outed (definitively this time), would all the people he's sued and won money from over the years for suggesting publicly that he's gay have a case for getting their money back from him? Or does the law not work (so to speak) that way?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 22, 2010 4:18 AM |
Yes, a possibility in getting money back for all the lies taken back.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 22, 2010 4:21 AM |
I'm so sick of the he is no he isn't routine! Why doesn't this jerk just come out of the closet! He isn't even that good looking. His nose is big as a beak on a toucan.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 22, 2010 4:27 AM |
It's simply not true.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 22, 2010 4:27 AM |
He won't "go down as a closet case" to the general public unless there is more "proof." People are idiots and do not view the situation the way Dlers do.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 22, 2010 4:35 AM |
I absolutely think it's a legit story. Cruise has sued people for calling him gay.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 22, 2010 4:43 AM |
Look more closely at the wording. The "Gay Lies" are probably the same tired shit about how he's sued anyone who dares to suggest he's gay and won. I couldn't find the article either. I've read lots of these articles; they just repeat all the accusations, and how Tom sued and won. I doubt there's anything new to see here; they've just lingered over Bullock's carcass long enough, and need something fresh.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 22, 2010 4:44 AM |
They are using "gay lies" in their front page to refer to the "lies" told ABOUT Tom Cruise. No way are they going to out the creep.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 22, 2010 4:56 AM |
r26 -- Tom Davis?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 22, 2010 9:04 AM |
They better have their facts in order about Tom's supposed gay hookups, because if they don't, Tom will sue their asses off.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 22, 2010 9:10 AM |
Re R28's question, I remember Cary Grant suing Chevy Chase when Chase implied Cary was gay. Carty won some sort of settlement. After CG died, stories started coming out. Did Chevy get his money back? I'm sure he could use it now.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 22, 2010 9:41 AM |
"Stories" may have come out, but stories are not proof. Without proof or an admission, Chase doesn't have a case.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 22, 2010 9:46 AM |
They're discussing it on the Crown Princess Marie Chantal of Greece gossip board. As one does.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 22, 2010 10:02 AM |
But it's not May 5th yet.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 22, 2010 10:28 AM |
So?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 22, 2010 10:59 AM |
Cruise sued and won against a UK tabloid which went too far with the buzz about the Kidman marriage. UK tabloids have long memories, and being bullies, hate to be seen to lose - and pay big costs. If they could trumpet 'We told you so' in the most extensive way, they wouldn't lose a second.
Don't know how the NE has couched its story, but it's interesting that it's been splashed at all. One wonders what the meta-story is here.
Then of course, there's Andrew Morton and his Cruise biography - never published in the UK. Pressure was brought to bear. The book I suppose was incompatible with that victory in court.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 22, 2010 11:00 AM |
But didn't Morton's biography say Cruise was not gay?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 22, 2010 11:15 AM |
So?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 22, 2010 11:17 AM |
Andrew Morton is a wimp.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 22, 2010 11:26 AM |
If he were really gay, how can there not be conclusive proof? In this day and age someone would gab or have photos or be selling their story.
I don't believe it.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 22, 2010 11:36 AM |
You are right R47, there are NO closeted gays in Hollywood because we don't have conclusive proofs.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 22, 2010 11:46 AM |
I agree, R21: say what you will about Tommy, his ass is just perfection. I could eat and fuck that ass for days.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 22, 2010 11:46 AM |
R1 and everyone else, this is a great site for covering your IP and enabling you to read sites blocked in your country. It's how I read the Enquirer online in Europe.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | April 22, 2010 11:46 AM |
Oh, the link to National Enquirer is gone. I can't read the article.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 22, 2010 11:50 AM |
Tom Cruise is done. Cooked.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 22, 2010 11:55 AM |
I'll check it out, R50. Thanks
by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 22, 2010 12:03 PM |
As a long-time tabloid reader, I can't believe anyone is falling for this headline. C'mon, this is what the tabs do best -- create enticing headlines and then write stories that either don't live up to the hype or directly dispute what the headline says. If the Enquirer was going to truly out Tom Cruise, it would be a huge cover story, not just one of several stories on the front cover. As others on this thread have stated, this story is probably going to emphasis the "lies" part of the headline. It will probably be something along the lines of, "Working on the set of a new film, Katie heard crew members gossiping about Tom being gay. That night she confronted him and he assured her that these 'gay lies' have been following him throughout his career. Tom told Katie that he has sued to prevent these stories in the past and will do so again, if necessary."
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 22, 2010 12:25 PM |
r54, that's the point. The Enquirer, really, has almost always posted truthful real gossip. Liberace, Hudson, Edwards, Hart, Clinton--all the great real truths out there were uncovered by Enquirer.
This is no different.
Knowing how sue happy Tom Cruise is, they must have real proof that these allegations are spot on.
If true, and his career tanks, it's not due to homophobia...it's due to his treatment of who he really is, "religion" or not.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 22, 2010 12:29 PM |
R54, this is the cover story.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 22, 2010 12:32 PM |
Thelma's COOKED!
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 22, 2010 12:58 PM |
As a Scientologist who blasted Brooke Shields for taking perscription drugs, I would love the allegations of drug use by Cruise to be true, too.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 22, 2010 1:01 PM |
There are no gay Scientologists, only men who sweat too much.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 22, 2010 1:07 PM |
R58 hit the nailon the head. The surprising element is not the gay part - there have been rumors for ears, but NOT the drugs.
In any case the very nature of the story is proof of how Hollywood has changed, in that the thugs employed by the big stars to kill such stories - any way they can - are in prison or easily caught due to the latest technology, and the days of Peggy Siegel calling Liz Smith to lie, I mean to write a favorable column is no longer possible.
Tiger Woods is the prime example, but look at Sandra Bullock, who probably did nothing wrong herself but was torn apart at the very pinnacle of her successful career. This never would have happened 10 years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | April 22, 2010 1:13 PM |
Wait, there is a Marie Chantal gossip board? How in the world could I have missed that? Any hot photos of Pavlos?

Oh Tom, Tom, Tom. Wishing you well.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 22, 2010 1:45 PM |
R54 is right -- you are being played, suckers.
The headline is "Gay Lies Exposed." The headline is NOT "Tom Cruise is Gay."
Who knows what 'Gay Lies' are? If they had the goods, they'd go with the better headline. They don't.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 22, 2010 2:12 PM |
R55, the National Enquirer does get some good scoops, but this is not one of them. If it were the headline would be "Tom Cruise is Gay!" or something along those lines. This is your typical Enquirer story where the headline promises a lot and the story backpedals to the point that it pretty much denies the headline.
R56, if the cover I saw last night on the Enquirer website was correct, this was just one of several stories on the front page. If it were truly a Tom Cruise outing, there would be a single story on the cover...they've done that kind of thing before for their most important stories.
I'm not understanding why so many people are believing this cover. Haven't you seen this kind of thing before? At least once every couple months they have a story about "The Truth about Oprah and Gayle" or "Oprah Addresses Gay Rumors" and the articles turn out to be a rehash of everything we already know, followed by a line or two saying that Oprah has always denied being gay and still does.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | April 22, 2010 2:22 PM |
Good lord, now we're going to have to be subjected to fake "Tom and Katie takes Suri shipping/to the beach/to ballet practice/to the bakery for another cupcake" pictures.
Whenever this story surfaces, Tom goes into hetero father/dad mode.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 22, 2010 2:44 PM |
Has anyone actually read the story?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 22, 2010 2:46 PM |
We must never forget the THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER was established in the first place as a CIA "cut-out." Yes, THE ENQUIRER specializes in ridiculous stories ("My Daughter Had an Alien Baby" etc.), but a surprising number of leaks that later turned out to be accurate first surfaced in its pages. (And it is no accident, no accident whatsoever, that the first person to die in the anthrax attacks of October, 2001 was a NATIONAL ENQUIRER photographer. His death was "collateral damage," but the attack on THE ENQUIRER in Florida was no accident, no accident whatsoever.)
I wonder if Tom Cruise has gotten on the bad side of the Cryptocracy. If he has, then it doubtlessly has something to do with his involvement in Scientology, a New Age religion that has had deep intelligence ties from its very start in California after World War II.
There may be more to this story than we think...
by Anonymous | reply 69 | April 22, 2010 2:57 PM |
And we should not forget his involvement in Stanley Kubrick's EYES WIDE SHUT. Yes, the whole thing is a mess that Kubrick never should have made, but the film's theme of secret societies on the loose is one that may have cut a little too close to the Cryptocratic bone.
And Cruise was an enthusiastic participant in Kubrick's picture. Indeed, he was so anxious to participate in the project that he pretty much put his life on hold during the time that the film was being made. Kubrick died very soon after the film was made, and I have often wondered whether Cruise's participation in EYES WIDE SHUT may have made him a potential target of Cryptocratic action.
I don't know. I am just speculating...

[quote]this story is probably going to emphasis the "lies" part of the headline. It will probably be something along the lines of, "Working on the set of a new film, Katie heard crew members gossiping about Tom being gay. That night she confronted him and he assured her that these 'gay lies' have been following him throughout his career.
That is EXACTLY the type of story they'll publish. They're NOT going to out him. They're going to have a story about Tom accusing people of lies. Look at that front page headline with the view of it being a story about "lies" - NOT a story about Tom being gay.
In doing so, the National Enquirer sucks foolish people into buying this issue because they are stupid enough to think it's going to "out" Tom Cruise.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 22, 2010 3:38 PM |
Of course if he is GAY, DRUGS are involved.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | April 22, 2010 3:57 PM |
The reason the Enquirer couched the headline in the form it did is to inoculate itself against lawsuits. Longtime Enquirer readers totally "get it". Remember the John Edwards story? The mainstream media as well as 99% of the population didn't buy the "ridiculous" story of a pregnant Edwards mistress. Except loyal Enquirer readers. We knew that he was nailed. Dead to right. oh, yes!
by Anonymous | reply 73 | April 22, 2010 4:12 PM |
That's it OP...just clobber your own kind. That would encourage so many other celebrities to come out of the closet.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | April 22, 2010 4:12 PM |
R73, that's true.
Enquirer readers usually know the score.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | April 22, 2010 4:31 PM |
So since they got the Edwards story right they are now the most accurate newspaper in the US? OK. When are the martians landing?
by Anonymous | reply 76 | April 22, 2010 4:38 PM |
There's one thing I think we can all agree on: there cannot be a particle of truth in the story, or indeed any breaking news story, until the HRH Crown Princess Marie Chantal of Greece Message Board says so.

I told you!!!
by Anonymous | reply 81 | April 22, 2010 8:28 PM |
R80, okay you said it.
I always thought that.
Andrew Morton is a master of getting the things he needs for his book, and he claims there was nothing to the rumors that he was gay. All I could think was, "you didn't look hard enough."
Tom was apparently fucking his own stand-in for years.
Tom has fucked around with guys, so how he didn't 'find' anything is ridiculous.
Oh, and I heard about him fucking Thomas Gibson long before it graced the threads of this site.
Tom is the Rock Hudson of our era--it'll all come out and unfortunately for him, it won't be pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | April 22, 2010 9:55 PM |
I think Tom Cruise may have had gay hook-ups in his past, but both he and Travolta smell of smug, self hating "ex" gays.
Not to say they don't lapse now and again, but their religion does not allow for homosexuality. So I doubt they are having out in the open homosex and when/if they do, they are in the same denial that other completely closeted religious men are.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | April 22, 2010 10:04 PM |
R83, I'm still trying to figure why Tom had David Beckham move right down the street from his house.
That said, I think he and Will Smith had a fling. Man are those two close.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | April 22, 2010 10:10 PM |
The Enquirer also got a lot of info on OJ Simpson during his trial. Mainstream media grugingly acknowledged the Enquirer's accuracy.

Big Red was found alive in London working at Westminster Abbey, seriously... Big red also outed Randy Travis, Antonio Banderas, Garth Brooks as well as Cruise. The fact is, The National Enquirer is spot on accurate in certain areas. OJ Simpson story, Gary Hart Story, John Edwards Story to make a few that had national significance. Sometimes they lose credibility (and long time readers of the NE can spot it in a second) when they print articles that are obvious plants from publicists or others with an agenda.
Usually, they are completely accurate.

I found this stuff at link below. I have not idea if it true of not. Baressi says Big red is Theodore Ragsdale.
Regards to Baresssi hideos cruise claims - it is matter of commnicate w/ correct people. There are certain facts that can be established with uncanny corroborating evidence: 1) Red was in London in 1999. A passport check was done on him and there are countless photos of him at events around the UK recorded for that year. 2) Tom Cruise WAS INDEED living in Highgate, North London at the time and he was filming Eyes Wide Shut; Stanley Kubrick was contacted re: production scheduling and this has been confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt. 3) Cruise had a body guard named Mickey, he was definitely British much to Pelicanoâs dismay when he confirmed this and it has since been confirmed time and again and he had hairy knuckles. Red described these knuckles in fantastic detail. Per the American Anthropological Association, knuckles are something one notices last about someone he or she normally meets. Red would have to have spent considerable time in Mickeyâs presence. This has been recorded time and again by various reliable sources. 4) FACT: Mickey is serving a life sentence for a murder conviction. Pelican did research and then went to prison himself. Barresi used this fact to corroborate redâs story as true when it was convenient for him to do so; then when it was inconvenient for him to promote this âstory âany further he changed things on ridiculous blog sites and cheap tabloids but he has never commented on the âMickeyâ situation and refuses to do so countless times. 5) Mickey proves beyond doubt that red was in the presence of Cruiseâs personal bodyguard and probably geographically close to cruise, in London UK, 1999. PERIOD! 6) Sir Roy Moseley who has written Biographies people that he clearly know intimately proven by âE-Channelâ, MTV and BBC Productions as well as countless press releases and photos, is seen in various photos at famous places around the world with âRed.â Among other bios written: Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Duke of Edinburgh, Grace Kelly, Princess Victoria of Sweden, Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, John Lennon, Vivian Leigh, Joan Plowright, Elizabeth Taylor, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Ronald Reagan, Maria Callas, Mick Jagger, Marilyn Monroe, Robert Redford, Cary Grant, Barbara Stanwyck, Marlene Dietrich, Elvis, Fred and Ginger, Noel Coward, Ralph Richardson,. Barbra Streisand (an it is confirmed that Red dated for her son too / not as a hooker! IT was real! & More to be revealed!), Mae West, and others⦠In a book in redâs possessions that he left in his flat in London a book entled A Life with the Stars and many other books signed by the author were left behind. Confirmed by roommates and landlord. 7) Also in redâs possessions were deeds to an apartment in the Paris 7th arondissement (on rue du General Bertrand) as well as a country house in St. Martial de Viveyrols (Dordogne / Perigord / Aquitaine). 8) Red did work at Westminster Abbey; we are in possession of his ID and pay stubs; we are also in possession of redâs 2007 rent receipts for a flat near Goodge Street Tube Station in London and they are signed by a âBill Panifer.â 9) It is also a fact that Roy Moseley personally introduced red to Pitt, Cruise and Banderas at a 2002 Santa Barbara Event. There are many witnesses. 10) Fact: red was interviewed by a certain Rene Zuiderveld in the Netherlands (and was photo graphed in Gronnighan, Marken and Amsterdam) in 2001 and there were references to the Cruise events. This was in May 2001 before red met Barresi in July 2001 through a certain Nick di Martino. 11) Fact: The letter from Bertram Fields to an unknown recipient is dated 17 months after Barresi claims to have interrogated red. 12) Fact: red was interviewed by a certain âAdam Smithâ at the National Enquirer in August 2001 and again in August 2004.

13) Fact records from Pelicanoâs office show that red visited there a total of 6 times and only one time states that Barresi was present. 14) Fact: tape recordings from Pelicanoâs office demonstrate a conversation where Pelican asks red to describe B. Pitt and red described in great detail a scar under Pittâs left eye that the public never sees due to make-up. He also describes a cruise scar on a knee and reddish brows and lashes (these have been confirmed by reliable sources representing cruise and pitt). 15) Fact: Pelican has been in custody since 2002 and all his office material and records have been examined thoroughly! 16) Fact: red was a known art collector and was in possession of a painting by Picasso whose previous records according to Swiss insurers was Nicole Kidman. This is currently on loan to a museum in Moscow. 17) Fact redâs estate has paintings on loan to museums in Europe, Israel, Japan, Korea, Australia, Brazil and the United States. 18) Fact: a famous Hollywood psychic to the stars named VOXX predicted a public and embarrassing trial for Pelicano, indictment of Barresi and Fields. Fieldsâ disbarment and 3 year sentence with parole after 14 months and a 14 year sentence for Barresi with no parole and judgments against him to lose his home and every possession

I have read the article. Several of you were right on about the story. It does NOT say he is gay! It says that he has told Katie that all of the stories are lies, thus "gay lies". He also told her that he didn't do drugs. When I first read the headline, where it said, "male lovers", I thought it was going to be an outing, but it is far from it! I'm thinking he could possibly sue the Enquirer for that headline because it sure is misleading!

The Bagman, the Author - Paul Barresi
He has conducted regular, consistent and extremely lucrative business with the tabloids, law enforcement, and celebrities caught up in serious scandals: Michael Jackson, Tom Cruise's alleged gay lover, O.J., Eddie Murphy, sports doper Barry Bonds, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone - he had a piece of all of them. And over the course of two decades, he has trafficked in the most sordid, vile, disgusting troughs of decadence and despair the culture of Hollywood has produced - the raw sewage of the star-making machinery, the slagheaps and spill-off of the entertainment-industrial complex.
But unlike most people in this town, there are a couple of things he won't do if you are straight with him: He won't lie. He won't cheat. And he won't steal. He'll make his money honestly, the old-fashioned way: He'll earn it. Meanwhile, almost everyone around him - the movie stars and their man-handlers, the power mavens and their procurers, the agents, managers, aspirants, hangers-on, whores and the lawyers - especially the lawyers - will do anything they think they can get away with.
He can document every relationship he's forged and every job he has ever done; these aren't just idle claims or accepted truths. Name a Hollywood scandal in the last two decades and he played a role in it: If he didn't leverage one of the principals, he brokered some of the inside information. If he didn't know the targets, he knew the grifters who targeted them, or the P.I.'s or shysters or crooked cops they turned to to get them out of it. Because when a world-class celebrity comes butt-up against the consequences of his infinite desires - and believe me, he will - he will do or say or pay anything to get himself out of it.
That's where he comes in. He is the bagman. He knows this world like he knows his own skin, and its reek and stench is his oxygen.
He is one of the most sought after interviews in Hollywood today thanks, mostly, to his association with convicted super Private Investigator Anthony Pellicano.
How do I know all this?
He was the subject of an award-winning story I co-wrote and inspired an entire chapter in the "we told you so" book I co-authored that inspired this web site.
His name is Paul Barresi. He is writing a book with biographer Raymond Strait.
After the jump, Hollywood, Interrupted presents a WORLD EXCLUSIVE sneak peak into "Pellicano's Enforcer" - the story of how the self-styled PI and the Pelican dealt with a porn star accusing the heterosexual family man Tom Cruise of having a feisty, sexual affair with him.
Enjoy...
Exclusive excerpt from "Pellicano's Enforcer" - a book-in-progress by Paul Barresi with Raymond Strait:
The Bagman parties with Victoria Gotti at the Pelican's former client Steven Seagal's biz partner Julius Nasso's estate
CHAPTER 1 Seeing Red
"A man's reputation is not in his own keeping, but lies at the mercy or the profligacy of others. Calumny requires no proof. The throwing out of malicious imputations against any character leaves a stain, which no after-refutation can wipe out. To create an unfavorable impression, it is not necessary that what is said be true. The damage is done in the mere telling of it." William Hazlitt (1778-1830)
On the day that the Feds arrested Anthony Pellicano in the fall of 2002, I'd just finished dousing a potential five alarm fire about to engulf the career, reputation and livelihood of Pellicano's most prized Hollywood motion picture star client. The role I played in this particular case involved much more than your average everyday investigative footwork; the culmination of several weeks of intensive probing, interviews and background research into allegations about Tom Cruise that, if proven, would have deep-sixed his multi-million dollar film career forever.
He called himself Big Red. When not traveling around the world, offering up his sex for hire services to wealthy Johns and lonely rich widows (who splurge on stud services when not blowing their money on botox, mini-face lifts, full body mass
