Let’s wokify the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise!!
Do we race or gender swap Freddy, or do we want to to keep him as a white man because he’s the villain?
Nancy will have to be an ethnic minority.
Rod Lane will be black with the cops assuming he killed Tina because he’s her black boyfriend. I guess for that purpose, we’ll keep Tina white.
Rod can be scared of cops because his brother was shoe and killed by cops.
During Rod Lane’s nightmare death, Freddy becomes “Cop Freddy” and kills Rod, who dies in prison. This results in BLM protests and riots because they think racism killed Rod Lane.
Jesse, Lisa and Grady are also included because Jesse and Gradyare questioning their securities.
Now, how do we add some trans women of color and non-binaries in here?

Joey can be a gogo boy and part-time whore. He's young, white, and pretty - we'll need to make sure he's not too uppity. Freddy can become a surgeon who sex changes Joey in a dream. Joey wakes up and bleeds to death from his severed dick - clearly his own deep hatred of women was the cause.

One of the characters can be trans and their nightmare can be Freddy “misgendering” them to death!

Just occurred to me, there is such a thing as black privilege in horror movies.
Kincaid survived part 3 (though he was the first to die in part 4). Yvonne survived part 5.
Brandy survived I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, whereas Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was white, died in the first one.
And later, the black characters in Scream 5 and 6 have been surviving.
