Twenty bedrooms, 23 baths.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 15, 2025 9:45 PM |
Ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 15, 2025 10:21 PM |
It was used as a hotel.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 15, 2025 11:25 PM |
I'll give it this: it's committed to an aesthetic.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 15, 2025 11:32 PM |
Florida: Where taste goes to die.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 15, 2025 11:35 PM |
I'd buy it and give it to G. It's as close as she'll ever get to an Oscar.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 15, 2025 11:35 PM |
Someone did that to those 3 buildings…
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 15, 2025 11:35 PM |
We know from Maralago that Florida law can be pretty loose about what consititutes a single family home.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 15, 2025 11:44 PM |
There is nothing tasteful about Central Florida. Nothing.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed a college campus. Including his only planetarium. In Lakeland, of all places.

Read my keystrokes, R10; feel free to convert them to bold, solid caps.
I am justified in my personal hatred for that God-forsaken state and, particularly, Volusia County.

Are you sure it was a hotel? Feels like someone wanted to create THE airBnB.
What a hot mess. The area isn't even great - doesn't look like it to me.
Drug money? Somebody was out of their fucking mind.

Ho.Lee.Fuck.
I would like to have a pool with a movie screen. Not THAT one, though.

It’s a foreclosure and some online listings call it a hotel. It looks like it was developed as part of a portfolio of theme proprties promoted as an alternative to large hotels.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 16, 2025 1:09 AM |
My God. That is the most tacky, vulgar house interior I have ever seen (and there's been some strong competition on here)
I'll give it this though - at least its interesting and sort of cheerful in its own vulgar, tasteless way. And as R4 says, they committed to an "aesthetic" if you can call it that. It would be fun for a one night Air B+B stay, but I sure as hell couldnt live with it
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 16, 2025 1:19 AM |
Might be a good whorehouse.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 16, 2025 1:22 AM |
R14 Indeed, it was purchased for $300,100 by a “plaintiff” at a foreclosure auction on 04/15/24. It was known as “Fantasy Island Resort Orlando,” and at one time was rentable for $2,426 per night for the whole property. On another RE site with over 100 photos, there’s a bathroom with a toilet and a urinal, not something you commonly in a single-family home.

The only positive thing I can say is that I can imagine this would be a really fun place for kids to stay.

Mental illness on display.

It reminds me of that Extreme Makeover show.

Season 352 of The Real World?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 16, 2025 3:08 AM |
I find this a little busy.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 16, 2025 3:44 AM |
Why do they call it a “home”? It’s obviously a boutique theme hotel.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 16, 2025 3:57 AM |
Some of the horse farms were okay R9. I worked at one. Except for

Good luck trying to find a cost-effective insurance for homeowners in Florida in 2025. Thanks again to Rhonda Santis, Mrs. Governia and black hole of charisma, who claims global warming is a hoax even though its impact on the reinsurance market is proving more and more cataclysmic for the state.

Is there a college nearby? could make it into a dorm.

Not a problem in that part of FL, R28. Hurricanes lose power once they move inland, so that area is a pretty safe bet. Irma did travel right up the center of the state in Sept. 2017, and it was so big it drew power from both the Atlantic and the Gulf, but that's an anomaly rather than the rule. So the insurance won't be as high as, say, if the structure was located in Daytona Beach.
And hell, R30, that place could [bold]be[/bold] a college. There's a fly-by-night school somewhere over that way called "Full Sail University" that basically trains people to go for jobs at Disney. This would be perfect for them.

Is that a theme hotel or a house?

1021 Fantasy Dr, Davenport, Florida
The address alone is enough to incite retching.
