Let's Revisit the Hilarious Sitcom "Trial and Error" from 2017

Some random show no one has ever heard of

Such a fun show.

R1 It was about a young lawyer who goes to a small town to defend one of the town's citizens who's accused of murdering his wife. It was kind of a comic takeoff on the documentary "The Staircase."

They actually did two seasons, the second season featuring Kristin Chenoweth as a defendant. But the first season with John Lithgow was the best.

I loved Sherri Shepherd's character, who every week had some new rare medical condition, from not being able to remember people's faces, to suddenly fainting when viewing something beautiful like artwork, to laughing at tragic events.

And what's even funnier is that all the conditions she suffered from are actual real, rare medical diagnoses.

One of my favorite scenes - "to completion."

I loved that show. Just two seasons though, but so enjoyable.

I loved it too. I wanted to rewatch it, but couldn’t find it.

It really was an amazing show. My brother-cousin still loves it.

LOVED IT and I had a major crush on. Nicholas D'Agosto, He was in the first Final Destination movie too.

I don’t remember him in the first FD.

I loved this show so much. The humor was perfect. The actors were perfect. The direction was perfect. Yeah. It really was. So of course it got cancelled.

R12 He was in the fifth Final Destination movie.

Did it consist of a film crew following them around endlessly for a documentary?

R13, R12 - you are correct. FD 5 was the prequel and how it all started. Thanks for correcting me. And, love that franchise.

Marla Gibbs guest starred so that's a definite pass.

I loved the first season but unfortunately I gave up on the second season because of Kristin Chenoweth. Just don't like her. BUT the first season with John Lithgow was great and the supporting cast was excellent.

D’Agosto pretty much disappeared after this. Too bad - he’s adorable

He was one who always played teens even when he was in his thirties. Can he still do it?
