"Addicted," that is.

In between fucking everyone but his wives, I guess.

They should have done a "casual stroll in Central Park" interview outside the studio, with the ratings busting gotcha moment where Whoopi says, "And this is the exact spot where he dumped the bear cub carcass!"

She lied when she said Fauci said that if people got the COVID vaccine, they couldn't transmit the virus to others.
Fauci NEVER said that. What he did say in the early days of COVID was that the vaccines MIGHT reduce transmission by lowering the amount of virus in a person's system. He noted that this was promising, but that more research was needed. Like actual doctors with medical degrees and years of expertise say.
I'm surprised no one on the panel called her out for spreading that obvious bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 14, 2025 11:36 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 14, 2025 11:40 PM |
There were a lot of missed opportunities to really stick it to that bitch during her appearance.
Someone on the panel should have asked her about that time a few years ago when she and "Bobby" held a fundraiser at their house and the invitation said that guests would need to be vaccinated or show proof of negative COVID testing before being admitted.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 14, 2025 11:41 PM |

R9 here...As much as I cannot stomach Hostin & her perpetual higher-than-thou stance on everything she approaches, regardless of how little she knows about whatever the topic at hand is, I have to be fair. Her husband, it appears, has settled. Of course, settling a case doesn't mean there was no wrongdoing on her husband's part. Still, this doesn't change the fact that Hostin has no issue proving herself as a hypocrite & a liar several times over in the past.

[quote]I always think it must be hard when your spouse changes politics dramatically
I wouldn't call what happened with RFK a dramatic change or a change at all. According to his family he always had crackpot ideas and questionable judgment, and was prone to conspiracy theories. He's been anti-vax for decades.
Holding one opinion that is "left" or liberal (being pro-environment), or doing a few good things here and there (like defending workers exposed to toxic chemicals) --these random dots don't negate a lifetime of excessive privilege, bullying, and morally bankrupt acts like goading your vulnerable brothers and cousins into using drugs or driving your estranged wife to suicide over your rabid, constant and open philandering.
"Bobby" was always this way, and Cheryl Hines knew exactly who - and what - she was marrying.

This past summer, Sunny Hostin was in The Hamptons and on Martha's Vineyard pushing her new summer book in bookstores, podcasts, etc. with interviews and Q&A sessions. Can you imagine if she was doing her interview and the host turned around and started asking questions about her husband's legal turmoil from earlier this year, when he was accused of alleged fraudulent Medicare claims ? How comfortable would Sunny be if the interviewer turned attention away from her new book and focused on her husband's legal trouble? Imagine if it were four interviewers doing this to Sunny ? Something tells me Sunny would walk out on the interview rather than take questions, remain calm and answer them.
I'm no fan of RFK Jr and his loony ideas and conspiracies, but I do give credit to Hines for staying the course (not talking about her book) and answering all their questions rather calmly (it never got heated).
Just my opinion.

I'm not wanting to defend RFK, Jr. or his wife (I don't know that much about him but my impression is that he mostly promotes junk science), and I didn't see this interview (I'd only watch The View at gunpoint, and maybe not even then), but here's what Fauci said well after the general population had been vaccinated and he was asked about nine people on the NY Yankees having just tested positive for Covid (at the 1:25 mark):
"Although you don't like to see breakthroughs, the fact is, this is one of the encouraging aspects about the efficacy of the vaccine...it'll either protect you completely against infection or if you do get infected, the chances are that you're going to be without symptoms and the chances are very likely that you'll not be able to transmit it to other people."
And at the 3:04 mark:
"Even if you do get a breakthrough infection when you're vaccinated, the chances of your transmitting it to someone else is exceedingly low. So a low likelihood of transmission, a low likelihood of getting infected, and if you do get infected the chances are you're going to be without symptoms. When people are vaccinated they can feel safe that they are not going to get infected, whether they're outdoors or indoors. That's the bottom line...you get vaccinated and you're really quite safe from getting infected. There will always be breakthrough infections, but given the denominator of people who are vaccinated, that's a very rare event." (He also said that the vaccines are very effective against variants.)
Since doctors can never say never, this is a doctor pretty much saying that the vaccine will prevent transmission from an infected person.

"I wouldn't call what happened with RFK a dramatic change or a change at all."
It all began with his alcoholic mother who would rather attend the opening of an envelope than stay at home and actually parent the children she kept spitting out.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 15, 2025 1:25 PM |
(Again, my post wasn't meant as a defense of RFK, Jr in any way, shape or form. I'm just surprised at the claim that no one said the vaccine would prevent infection or transmission.)

[quote]R48 Thank you for affirming that he never said if you get the COVID vaccine, you can't transmit it to others.
The entire interview was Fauci assuring the interviewer and his viewers that if you're vaccinated you're safe from getting a Covid infection, but in the "very rare" event someone gets a breakthrough infection, the chances of transmitting the virus to others is "exceedingly low". That's a doctor saying if you're vaccinated you won't transmit it.
(I'm not holding it against Fauci, and I'm not on the side of anti-vaxxers.)

I just watched the clip. Why would they send this nitwit out to defend her nitwit husband? Is everyone in this administration a nitwit?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 15, 2025 6:13 PM |
R45, today I read this in social media:
‘ Not to speak ill of the dead, but I once had to wait for a stomach pump because Ethel Kennedy was using it. Truth. My Dad was raised in Connecticut. When I was around five, we went from Ohio to Cape Cod for vacation. Under the kitchen sink of the rental cabin was a bottle of ant poison. The poison was super sweet and sticky, so I drank it. My parents freaked out and took me to the closest hospital.
Well, it seemed that Ethel had drank a shit-ton of booze and took some pills, so I had to wait until they were done with her, and they sterilized the equipment. This may account for some of my weirdness.’
I think the RFK family was in a much worse state than what was reflected in the media after his death. Perhaps that wasn’t her onlysuicide attempt. It’s impossible for a healthy individual to come out of that family. All of her children are so weird . RFK Jr was so wasted in his teenage and young adult years

[quote] I just watched the clip. Why would they send this nitwit out to defend her nitwit husband? Is everyone in this administration a nitwit?
Geez, the administration didn't send her anywhere, and defending her husband was not the reason she was booked on the show.
She was booked through her agent (not the administration) to promote and talk about her new memoir,, which was released yesterday. The hosts decided to ignore the book and focus on her husband's controversy. I'm sure she was expecting that, but not to that degree of her whole interview dedicated to that. Not once did they ever mention her book. (What happened? Sunny didn't read her advance copy the night before, as she couldn't put it down - like she tells ALL the celebrities pushing their books on the show ?)
by Anonymous | reply 55 | October 15, 2025 6:58 PM |
R55 If Cheryl thinks people are interested in a book from B-list actress and not the fact that she's married to a dangerous lunatic, she's even more stupid than I believed.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | October 15, 2025 7:04 PM |
And R55, the only reason she got the god damned book published is because she's the spouse of a deranged maniac who happens to hold a position of power with a lot of other deranged maniacs in the Trump administration, the king of deranged maniacs.
Otherwise, she'd still a nobody out pounding the pavement, making pitches to potential publishers who don't give a rat's ass about her life or her "career."
by Anonymous | reply 57 | October 15, 2025 7:16 PM |
Cheryl is a cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | October 15, 2025 7:57 PM |
R 56 / R57 That very well could be, and honestly I don't care what was behind her book deal. (Maybe the hosts could've asked her why she wrote her memoir now ?) I was just addressing you (or someone else) in R53, where it was falsely said 'the administration' sent her to the show to defend her husband. Again, 'they' didn't send her and 'that' wasn't the reason for her visit to the show. That's all I was clarifying above.
