Awards and medals become basically meaningless when undeserving recipients are awarded them. Rush was the subterranean low bar for this award. Kirk is basically on a similar below sea level status.

And ever since the gave Gerard Ford the JFK Profiles in Courage Award in 2001 for pardoning Nixon, I consider that award not just flawed, but pure trash. Pardoning Nixon for his crimes while president basically gave the flag for subsequent corrupt presidents to act with impunity.

TOUSA can now use "Presidential Medal of Freedom winner" on its fundraising materials. They have it in them to do it.

And those people would be a virtual subset of the people thinking Charlie Kirk was the living embodiment of a saint.
