Gay life is brutally ageist. Despite the recently popular daddy fetish, in general gay men feel they passed their prime at 30. Just grateful to be alive after 50. Never thought it would happen.

You only become and "elder gay" when you allow yourself to funnel inordinate amounts of energy and value in looking "younger" than you are. Botox, fillers etc, all reaffirm the incorrect notion that age is unattractive. I guess those things can work in moderation, but in excess, they amplify desperation rather than fooling he eye of the casual observer.

It's easier for some than for others to realize that self acceptance and affirmation is all you need and probably all you wanted your entire life, but were seeking from peers or other men. Where is your value? Where is your attractiveness coming from? It's not from your age.

We all know people who "shouldn't" be hot, but somehow are. They know something many of us don't.

Age is only good on a gay if he's very masculine. The aging queen is not an object of lust for anyone. Which is sad, because we all deserve to be loved.
