Let's discuss "Shadow of the Vampire" (2000)

This historical drama/horror film focuses on F. W. Murnau's making of the silent classic "Nosferatu", during which cast and crew come to suspect that Max Schreck, the actor playing the titular vampire, may not really be an actor at all. Willem Dafoe stars as Schreck, while John Malkovich portrays Murnau. Cary Elwes, Catherine McCormack, Eddie Izzard, and Udo Kier also appear. The film is based on the oft-repeated urban legend that Schreck was an actual vampire. Dafoe received nominations for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy and Golden Globe Awards for his performance. It is a fantastic film that, despite having a cult following, never seemed to have really caught on.
