Anyone had him?
A religious gay? Eww
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 9, 2025 8:00 PM |
I'd never heard of him until now. Curious if the religious Jews who "like" his comedy realize he is gay?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 9, 2025 8:02 PM |
I've seen some of his stuff on Youtube. He's very funny. R2, there's no way they couldn't realize he's gay; it's part of his schtick. Doesn't hide it at all.

You mean the Indian Prime Minister?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 9, 2025 8:22 PM |
So weird, I was just reading this article on the NYTs website. He has a cute Catholic boyfriend 22 years younger.

^ I think they are married??
LOVE HIM
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 9, 2025 9:21 PM |
Yes I have, in a way. If you want details. Just ask.

My wife is a huge fan.

He’s funny, but even I (a former Bar Mitzvah boy) don’t understand what he’s saying when he uses certain Hebrew words.
He’s a triple-cursed “Orthodox” Jew: he’s gay, he’s married, and it’s to a gentile.
He and his husband met on a subway train, and their relationship took off from there. It’s kind of a “Bridget Loves Bernie” or “Bear Loves Boychik” thing.
He has another (apparently Orthodox) Jewish comedian friend named Dov Neuberger who is straight but obviously gay-friendly. Like any good Yeshiva boy, he talks like a man who believes men are the center of the universe and women are accessories (hey, that’s kind of gay I just realized). He’s on Modi’s podcast (on YouTube) a lot, and as long as I turn the volume down, I think Dov is hot (my guilty pleasure).

Modern Orthodox Jews (not to be confused with ultra Orthodox) are most definitely coming around to acceptance of gay marriage. They're still not performed by Orthodox rabbis, but there's certainly no shame in it. He probably gets far more flack for marrying a gentile than for marrying a man.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 10, 2025 12:53 AM |
Is he a gay?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 10, 2025 1:08 AM |
He looks great for 37.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 10, 2025 1:12 AM |
What the fuck is the problem with a Jew gay man marrying a Gentile man? It is not like they are going to have kids, even if they do, only one can contribute sperm at a time. And, because Modi is a man, his sperm does not a Jewish child make, officially.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 10, 2025 1:28 AM |
I just tried to watch him....not funny.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 10, 2025 1:45 AM |
I thought this was going to be about Kal Penn. (His real surname is Modi.)
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 10, 2025 1:49 AM |
I'll pass
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 10, 2025 2:02 AM |
How does he compare to the other Orthodox Jew comedian, Alex Entenmann’s?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 10, 2025 2:30 AM |
A Jewish comedian? Well, I never.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 10, 2025 3:04 AM |
R23 That's a good point. I think in gay Jewish marriages, it's more about the concern that marrying a gentile (who isn't willing to convert) means that you won't have a Jewish family. A family is made in marriage even when there are no children. The (practicing) Jewish population is incredibly tiny, and waning more and more each passing decade. Marrying someone of the faith (particularly if you are Orthodox) is a greater assurance that you will continue observance. Orthodox Jews observe nearly every Jewish law, many of which are domestic in nature--keeping kosher just for instance. Observing that many traditions while in partnership with someone of a different faith is close to impossible. Two practicing Jewish partners strengthen the other's observance, whereas often the opposite happens when marrying/partnering outside the faith.

Does he live in a gay ghetto?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 10, 2025 3:37 AM |
In reference to R19's comment, I'm an observant Reform Jew and my partner is a non-religious gentile. Even I can confirm that not being able to share those traditions with him which are important to me (both religious and cultural), is difficult. We're both atheist, so it's not a disparity of faith, but just, well, tradition. I sometimes wish (though not enough to be a deal-breaker) that I had a partner who could participate in that very important part of my identity, and who could understand the unique generational traumas and cultural/familial quirks. It's not unlike interracial dating/marriage in many ways. Not impossible, but also not without its own struggles.

The Lower East Side.

He's hot and hilarious. I'm a fan.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 10, 2025 4:32 AM |
Vile. Not funny.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 10, 2025 4:46 AM |
R24 What makes him "vile"?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 10, 2025 4:53 AM |
He’s a Zionist.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 10, 2025 5:03 AM |
Fuck how did that happen?
Anyway, to R19/R21's point, my partner and I know an observant Jewish gay couple, and yes, I would say having that shared cultural background would definitely make a relationship easier. If I had not met my current partner and met a nice Jewish boy I'd definitely be up for the challenge and hell, I cant stand bacon and ham so thats a good start
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 10, 2025 5:08 AM |
He's not very funny and gets by on lazy crowd work. If he weren't a gay Orthodox Jew there would be nothing interesting about him.
Also his husband converted to Judaism.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 10, 2025 6:10 AM |
R21, your partner probably feels.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 10, 2025 9:17 AM |
They are a cute couple, both handsome and sexy in their own way. I guess Modi's mother can sleep at night again knowing her son is now married to a nice Jewish boy.
I'm kind of surprised I don't find him funny. I really like Jewish humor and I'm good at it for a goy, according to a Jewish ex.

No one asked after I posted at R7, so I’ll just share my experience.
This was a very long time ago, late 90s, when I was a gayling in NYC. I have a voyeuristic fetish and I used to hook up guys from AOL chat rooms and host them and watch them fuck. It was only successful a handful of times - but it was like live porn. People get off on being watched. And I found a few big dick top guys, exhibitionist, who were into me finding bottoms for them to fuck while I watched.
Modi was one of the bottoms I watched my buddy fuck. He wasn’t out then and described himself as straight. He must have been 28 or so, older than me. It was at his apartment in Murray Hill I believe. He wanted it dark. I sat in the kitchen area and my buddy fucked him missionary on his couch. I do remember he came from getting fucked. I didn’t get to see too much because it was darker, but it was hot. He wasn’t pretty quiet, repressed in enjoying himself. But still hot.
I completely forgot all about him years after until I saw him on the first season of Last Comic Standing in the early 2000s. I don’t even know if he was out by then. After that I’d see him every once in a while around the city. but he had no idea who I was.
So yeah I didn’t have him but I watched him get fucked.

Deeply unfunny.

Thanks, R34. That was an interesting and hot story. Luck you.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 10, 2025 3:02 PM |
The husband's Tiktok suggests he's a bit high maintenance.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 10, 2025 3:36 PM |
r31, sometimes just having a viewpoint or stories to tell that's different from what audiences are used to is enough to make a creator successful.
In other words, you gotta have a gimmick.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 10, 2025 4:36 PM |
R1 No but I;m now on a mission,
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 10, 2025 5:10 PM |
R34, how big was his dick? Cut or uncut?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 10, 2025 5:20 PM |
His lip injections make him look odd.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 10, 2025 5:20 PM |
R41. It would be bizarre indeed if he were uncut!
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 10, 2025 5:30 PM |
R41, I really didn't see how big he was. I was a bit further away than I usually was. He was nervous, anxious. So I kept my distance so he could relax and enjoy himself. I am sure I saw something. But this was over 25 years ago. What I do remember is faint, outside of what I described. I just remember feeling he was a closeted guy nervous about hooking up. He was either into being watched or just so horny he didn't care if I did.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 10, 2025 5:34 PM |
Then how did you know it was him if it was so dark?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 10, 2025 6:02 PM |
Because he met us at the door and we hung out a little bit before things started r45.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 10, 2025 7:17 PM |
He's so fucking hot and handsome. Any nudes?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 10, 2025 7:22 PM |
R7, details please
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 10, 2025 8:10 PM |
God, this dude is not funny. Who’d he pay for this ridiculous article?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 10, 2025 8:13 PM |
Most comedians are not funny. Most think shouting obscenities and discussing disgusting things is somehow funny, they are not. At least he doesn't do those things from what I saw.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 10, 2025 8:18 PM |
Modi's husband would be handsome but I can't get past his hideous tattoos. He seems to try to hide them but I think his torso is all tatted up
