I'm sorry, I'm not sure I could never vote for someone named 'bo bye'.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 9, 2025 6:37 PM |
Bobo
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 9, 2025 6:45 PM |
And you thought Buttigieg was hard to pronounce!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 9, 2025 6:47 PM |
Buh-bye!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 9, 2025 6:47 PM |
Another lib-tard playing military dress-up.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 9, 2025 6:50 PM |
You'd think that with a grandfather named Birch Bayh, the family would be on guard against dumb names.

It’s pronounced Bo Bay, you retart!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 9, 2025 6:59 PM |
It's pronounced By, r7.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 9, 2025 7:01 PM |
"you retart!"
Oh, dear!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | October 9, 2025 7:02 PM |
The brand names may be our best bets in red America.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 9, 2025 7:09 PM |
His name is not actually Beau.
It's Birch Evans Bayh IV.
And he has a twin.
And they can both FMH. Or DP. Whichever they prefer.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 9, 2025 7:10 PM |
Evan was/is a total asshole. Thin skinned, egotistical and just a real shit. If his son is anything like him i take a hard pass. He was sanctimonious, self righteous and he tilted Conservative. he was a DINO.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 9, 2025 7:11 PM |
You kinda have to be a “DINO” in red America to survive, R13, something purists, who have low political IQ, never seem to grasp. And we desperately need to start electing these so-called DINOs. Because even half a loaf is unquestionably better than ceding all power to MAGAts.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 9, 2025 7:19 PM |
Posing with a gun? Uh, no thanks. Bo bye!👋🏻

Leave it up to people like R13 and the Dems will never be in the majority again.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 9, 2025 7:58 PM |
R16 must think that Mamdani types are the answer to winning red states.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 9, 2025 8:02 PM |
R16 must be thrilled that Manchin was succeeded by a Republican. Now WV Democrats can busy themselves finding a candidate suitable for blue America.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 9, 2025 8:08 PM |
Isn't he the quintessential NEPO baby the DL relentlessly repudiates??
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 9, 2025 8:10 PM |
Sure so let's elect people like Joe Manchin. How'd that work out. Every time we take a hit, the trolls crawl out of the woodwork insisting we become Republican Lite and tack to the Right. That's not going to work. We need to own what we stand for: Inclusivity. And we need to own what we want to do: access to affordable healthcare, increase minimum wage, etc. Every single Democratic POTUS with help from a Democratic Congress, has been good for the economy. We want clean drinking water, and breathable air. We want access to a good solid public education. We take out oath to the Constitution seriously. We do not demonize and divide and lie and sow fear to gain votes. We do not scare people about Haitians eating their pets. We believe vaccinations work. I could go on but I don't feel like it. I won't be put on the defensive by anyone for being a progressive Democrat with a real desire to make things better. That's the job. And to those who are in a position to do great good, and yet chose to do great harm damn them to Hell.

Democrat Ron Sand, the sitting state auditor, has a fighting chance of winning the Iowa’s gubernatorial contest because he’s separated himself from the national party. He even thought about running as an Independent.

We can only hope he's as successful a vote-getter in ruby red Indiana as his father was, R27.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 10, 2025 1:02 AM |
His grandfather is the gold standard—don’t any of you know history?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 10, 2025 1:14 AM |
Birch Bayn was a pal of Teddy Kennedy's. They were in a plane crash together.

[QUOTE]self righteous and he tilted Conservative. he was a DINO.
[QUOTE]His grandfather is the gold standard—don’t any of you know history?
Yeah. I don't know about self-righteous because I tuned out of Indiana politics right after the '88 election (more about that later). I moved from California to Bloomington for grad school in '88 and had some familiarity with his father who was in the news frequently.
When I first saw his campaign ad, I was really confused because he sounded like a Republican to me. It wasn't until the end of the ad, in small writing at the bottom, that it said "Paid for by Evan Bayh, Democrat for Governor." Huh? I guess it's what he had to do. Some classmates saw him campaigning at Nick's English Hut with his wife. The assessment? Stiff as hell. Wife a Barbie with helmet hair.
I was shocked on election day that I had to wait in line for an hour to vote. In California (and later in Chicago), I'd walk in, no wait. It was explained to me that the Republican Secretary of State directed fewer voting booths to Monroe County and other Democratic parts of the state. Huh? I immediately re-registered in California where my vote might make a difference (Back then California wasn't so blue).
Now Bloomington is in a Republican district thanks to gerrymandering. Not even a college town is safe.

I want an FDR/Eleanor-type wedding so we can have a woman named Kitty Bayh Bayh.

Word salad:
You mention the father, then the son —without specifying. which is which. Then you digress to CA and IL. Then you further digress to local voter habits.
A second set of eyes is your friend.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 10, 2025 2:33 AM |
I guess I gave posters here too much credit for having read the previous posts or having pre-existing knowledge about the Bayhs.
A first set of eyes and receptive language skills would behoove you, dear r37. Despite posting the Wiki word salad page, you appear to not have processed the words in it.
I'm afraid you're envious of my superior first hand knowledge of the political shift in Indiana while the best you could do is post Birch Bayh's Wiki page.
Also, you really shouldn't use clinical terms you don't understand. You never know who you might run into.

It took you 35 minutes to “craft” that response? You’re too much🤭
I’ll be breaking away from you at this point.

Yes. Trying to assuage your bruised ego.
I should wait 36 minutes to post this so you can get your evening's chubby, but I'm not that nice.

How could one twin look fat and beefy with a football player’s build and the other is a skinny twink? Even fraternal twins tend to have the same body type.

DOA.

IF - and that's a big if - he got elected in Indiana as a Democrat, it doesn't make sense that he'd THEN change his party affiliation.

[quote]Yeah. I don't know about self-righteous because I tuned out of Indiana politics right after the '88 election (more about that later)
That parenthetic phrase alone was enough for me to turn my attention elsewhere.

Thanks to R38 /minions for your FFs triggering a mandatory time-out. Who knew a post clarifying Birch Sr’s place in history could lead to trauma? LOL
