Alleged Pacific Palisades fire suspect, 29 year old Uber driver, arrested in Florida

Sounds like a classic firebug. He left quite an electronic trail for authorities to find him. Either he's not to bright or he wanted to get caught. Fun fact: His parents were Baptist missionaries. More in next post.

[QUOTE]Federal investigators said Rinderknecht had been working as an Uber driver on New Year’s Eve. Two passengers from separate trips told authorities that he “appeared agitated and angry” that night, officials alleged.

[QUOTE]After dropping off a passenger in the Pacific Palisades, investigators say Rinderknecht drove toward the Skull Rock Trailhead, parked his car, attempted to contact a former friend, and walked up the trail.

[QUOTE]“He then used his iPhone to take videos at a nearby hilltop area and listened to a rap song – to which he had listened repeatedly in previous days – whose music video included things being lit on fire,” the Department of Justice said in a statement.

[QUOTE]Sensors detected the Lachman Fire at that location at 12:12 a.m. on January 1. Rinderknecht called 911 several times over the next five minutes, initially unable to connect due to poor cell phone range, authorities allege. He later connected and reported the fire from the bottom of the hiking trail, and then he drove away.

[QUOTE]“Rinderknecht then fled in his car, passing fire engines driving in the opposite direction. He then turned around and followed the fire engines to the scene, driving at a high rate of speed,” the DOJ said. “Rinderknecht walked up the same trail from earlier that night to watch the fire and the firefighters.”

Described as quiet, shy, "a really nice guy," but had a problem with disagreements and became contrary according to friends/roommates. Oh, and the meth problem, cruelty to a girlfriend, and property destruction at an AirBnB,

It sounds like his parents were itinerant missionaries during most of his childhood and youth.

[QUOTE]Rinderknecht's mother, Jennifer, is originally from Florida, according to Pastor Shawn Hurley with Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Lima, Ohio. His father, Joel, is a French citizen, and the couple live in France.

All these young white men raised by "Christians" and their murderous sprees!

The family must have been awfully afraid of him to abandoned the home to hum

[QUOTE]Two months after the fire, in March, Rinderknecht got into his car and drove to Melbourne, Florida, where he moved into a house with his sister and brother-in-law about five months ago.

[QUOTE]In the past month, local police were called to the Florida house twice, the first time after Rinderknecht allegedly threatened to blow up the home during an argument, and the second time after he allegedly said he had a firearm and would use it in self-defense against his brother-in-law, according to ATF Special Agent Thomas Harrison.

This is from the NY Post:

[QUOTE]Rinderknecht allegedly threatened to shoot his brother-in-law, prompting his father to call the cops – with investigators allegedly finding a gun hidden within a stuffed animal when they searched the home.

[QUOTE]Rinderknecht was allowed to stay at the house while his sister and her family moved out.
