Does the number of straight married men curious about gay sex surprise anyone?
On Reddit, there's a sub called r/ straightturnedgay that is all about straight men expressing their desire to suck dick and experiment with another man. It has about 200,000 members. A frightening number have wives and girlfriends.
Are straight men more open about their curiosity or has this always been the case?

Str8 men love to get their nut off, some do not care if they use a Gay Man!
They still claim to be str8 but love to get off.

Always been the case. Straight men still want to experiment, as long as no one else finds out about it. As the Marines have been known to say, “A hard cock has no conscience.”
What they seem to love most is to be sucked off, since the women they’re with often refuse. But straight men are frequently amenable to experiment with anal, something they usually know nothing about. It’s enlightening to see their delight when they have their prostates massaged, or holes licked.

Not me. If I had a nickle for every "straight" guy I had sex with Id buy an island. One thing no one ever talks about is how many boys hit puberty and mess around with other boys because its who they are around most. When you are a dorky teen with no appeal to a girl that blowjob from a friend is mighty enticing. Id vewnture to say most straight boys experiment but would die before admitting it. So later in life when they are horny and no pussy is available they think about that blowjob or that ass they got and its not such a big step to accept it again. Of course never speaking of it . Ive told the story many times on here of how in my lower working class neighborhood I went through those boys like a hot knife through butter. For just that reason.

This is a typical post from that sub:
35 years old and married to a wonderful woman. But since I was about 20 years old, I’ve had curiosities I didn’t tell anyone about. And now it’s my truth. I’m a married man who is “straight.” I don’t have a romantic interest or attraction to men, but damn do I have a submissive thing for older cocks.
I finally gave in about a year and a half or two years ago, don’t remember the first day. And I’ve sucked a few since then. What I’ve learned, I’m ashamed to say; is that I can’t get a good BJ from my wife, but it’s not her fault.
She does a great job and I love her a lot. But when I’m laying back and receiving, two thoughts enter my mind that I can’t shake. 1) how if I were sucking, I’d do things differently and better. And 2) how much better men suck cock.
And then I think… how did I get here???

I think that most " straight men" fall into some homosexual experience of some sort. I say homosexual because " gay " is a lifestyle- a form of expression that connects to homosexual feelings or desires. Thus one of the reason straight men never touch upon upon gay. They aren't gay. They don't live like gay men- Thank God- and they don't act with the same general stereotypes of gay men. But if you and Jake have been drinking and smoking all night, there was no pussy at the redneck bar worth having, but you are jacked up- the cold , dark cab of a pickup truck, and another hand or mouth giving you pleasure from someone who won't tell can be more enjoyable than " fucking some piece of ass".

Sexuality is on a spectrum. Even so-called exclusive heterosexuals aren't necessarily 0 out of 6 on the Kinsey scale. Many are 1-3, either had some thoughts are attraction to the same sex, or even acted on it on some level. Some men have even sucked dick or have gotten fucked at some point in their lives, and still consider themselves strictly straight.

My suspicion is, even if some of these are legit, they’re guys who were so heavily conditioned to be heteronormative they never considered sex with other men, although gay.
But I think most of it is sex fic written by gay guys fantasizing about hetero guys wanting gay sex, or even women who get off on gay male sex. There’s a surprising number of girls, especially Asian girls, who fetishize it.

[quote]Sexuality is on a spectrum.
When I came out after college, I still had a lot of straight friends from the before times.
A surprising number of them started acting different around me even though I hadn’t changed.
Some of it was harmless, like asking what I thought of their outfits or telling me about their relationships. Some started opening up about their sex lives and asking about mine, sometimes with way too much detail. A few sent photos asking what I thought of them, photos clearly meant for women. Others would randomly take their shirts off or hang out naked or nearly naked while talking to me like it was nothing. (Which never happened with any of those guys before.)
One who swore he was straight kept trying to get me high so we could make out.
Most of them are married now. Some are divorced. I think a few were somewhere on the bi spectrum, or at least curious. Maybe some just felt safe being open with me since they knew I wasn’t going to call them names or make them feel weird for it.
Either way, it was strange. I didn’t want any of them. By that point I had known them too long. It mostly just showed me how blurry people’s lines can get when they finally feel like they can be honest about what they want.

I have been with more "straight" guys who later married women than I have actual men who identified as gay. The first one was my high school boyfriend (we weren't out but I'm sure most assumed). He and I were together for three years and everything was great especially the sex but we later lost touch and he married and had a daughter and is living the typical suburban family lifestyle in another state. The rest of the guys I was with ended up marrying as well. Maybe I turned them straight?

I think there are simply a lot of men out there who are truly bisexual but want the domestic family experience that comes with having a wife and kids, which a gay relationship won't typically bring them. They have to make a choice, and I think 99% opt for the wife and children over their enjoyment of fucking dudes. Most of them tend to sexually dabble with men in their twenties and "get it out of their system" so to speak before settling down with a woman. These types are the real, true heartbreakers for many us of gay men.

I'm sure that was true roughly 30 years ago, r39. Everyone knows that two men can raise a family and live a boring domestic life if that's what they both want. The institutional barriers to gay people having that lifestyle are gone, for now.
I think many bi guys end up with women because that side of the dating pool is so much larger no matter where they live. If they go to a party where there are five attractive gay men and thirty attractive straight women, the bi guy is probably going home with a woman.
There are bi men who are in serious relationships with men but they get ignored because they don't fit into the "bi men prefer women" narrative.

It's always just seemed like common sense to me that at least some straight men, and really probably many, would be bi-curious. I don't know why the very idea is such a trauma to some gay men. That the slightest thought of another guy's cock makes them gay, gay, gay, 100% gay, repressed, admit your true nature, leave your wife and head to the nearest gay bar. Sometimes I'm sure it's just sex and curiosity. Not sure why that is even surprising to anyone.

Straight men are known to fuck produce and farm animals. Straight men have been known to fuck men if the conditions are right. See "prison" or "british boarding school." This is known. It's long past debatable. Some straight men just see a hole as a hole. Straight men are fucking pigs. No, literally, they'll fuck a pig if it comes to it.
But straight men don't join a reddit full of extreme closeups of male-on-male anal penetration to post breathlessly and repeatedly about their unrelenting desire to suck other men's cocks. That's a closet case.

Some of the fraus from that straightspouse sub are Helen Keller blind. Like this one:
"I think my bf is gay
He never wants to kiss and when we do kiss itd normally just a peck no intimacy. He has to be drunk and in the mood to have sex which is rare. He constantly talks about women but it seems more like overcompensating. He hardly ever (maybe once a year) goes down on me. He wants head more than sex and acts like sex is more of a favor to me than something he wants. Everything has to be planned beforehand. He will reject me if I am wearing lingerie even named he's rejected me for sex. Even when we plan on having sex a lot of times he'll tell me to wait so he can smoke more or say he isn't in the mood."

When will everyone realize that sexuality is more flexible than we've been led to believe? It is only religious, cultural and social taboos that have tamped down, psychologically and behaviorally, very effectively, these natural desires. R70 agreed. My sexuality is fixed, for better or worse—there's no universe in which I'm suddenly muff-diving. The "straight" men who do have homosexual desires and regularly fool around with guys/fantasize about cock are not entirely heterosexual.
That being said, there is a significant subset of men who are really into trans girls because they get the penis presented in a feminine package. I wouldn't say those men are entirely straight, but they're definitely not entirely gay either—as with muff-diving, there's no universe in which Ic Ould ever be attracted to a trans girl because of the feminine qualities they present. When it comes to sex, I want masculinity.

r70 Fail. The implication which you present in your first sentence is a false conclusion in being a non-sequitur which assumes that men and women are equally desirable under comparable circumstances. In other words, "apples and oranges." Your second statement has the fallacy of begging the question: You're positing that straight guys are not going to start sucking cock or taking a dick up their ass when the very contention at hand is that (a significant portion of) straight guys [italic]do[/italic] start sucking cock and taking a dick up their ass.

I wouldn’t say it’s a “narrative.” Most bisexual men, the vast majority in fact, are “heteroromantic.” And on a scale with homosexual on one side and heterosexual on the other, most are closer to the het end of the spectrum with regard to who they prefer sexually. Bi and homoromantic bisexual men are a small minority, though they do compose the majority of the small minority (a study suggested 12%) of bisexual men who are out, which certainly skews perspectives.

[quote] obsessed with anal, says it's "his thing". When we do have sex, it always involves anal and he likes to do it from behind. says his neighbor friend's penis is the biggest dick he's ever seen...he said he was showing him pics of fish on his phone and accidentally scrolled past a dick pic he'd taken. says he doesn't need sex from women and doesn't pursue women and is fine without it
[quote] mentions wanting a threesome with another man often and comments (positively instead of jealously) on other men's attraction to me like "damn I think he wants to fuck you" or "bet you made him hard" like I'm a tool to arouse other men, like I'm some sort of connection for him to other men. he says "for some reason gay guys constantly message me wanting to hook up and I'm like 'fuck no! r85 It's a foundational building block of their self-esteem that no man, most especially not a husband, could ever prefer a male to female them that they'll grasp at anything to deny the reality. Much of disbelief of those females about a straight man possibly preferring a male now and then stems, I think, from a sort of "sour grapes" concept: [italic]If my man prefers another man to [female] me, there must be something wrong with him to start with.[/italic]
The lady would-be logician who has bestowed her enlightenment on us to the effect of denying that a straight man could [italic]gasp[/italic] ever choose to have sex with another man, concluding that said person must therefore be gay, [italic]and then [/italic] turning around and querying rhetorically and doubtfully if a gay man could ever wish to have sex with a woman, has failed to reconcile her system of beliefs with what is the actual subject of this thread, married men curious about gay sex--in other words, men who presumably have had sex with their wives and yet are curious about gay sex. She would have it that these men are gay because no one but a gay could want to have sex with another man, and yet she would also say that no gay man could ever have chosen to have sex with a woman (as these married men have chosen to do by marrying women). The human mind is a most curious thing.
