I adore Callum but I don't think he could ever summon the necessary grit to portray Philip Seymour Hoffman. Callum is best at light comedy and whimsy.

My hubby and I ran into Callum around the first season of ALL CREATURES at a play at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London. Hubby just ran right up to him at the interval and gushed how much we loved him and, fortunately, Callum was very gracious and sweet. Nobody else seemed to recognize him (or maybe the Brits are too polite to gush).

Loved him in the Durrells. At first I liked Josh O'Connell's character much better but as time went on both Callum's character and the sister grew on me.

Does he have any known health issues? First they wrote him out for an entire season. And now that he is back he's gained quite some weight.

He's got that Allan Leech thing where he sorta goes from fit to pudgster.

Because Hoffman was known for his sexiness.

I love all the actors in the series and their portrayals of the characters but the writing week to to week has always been sheep shite.
