Don’t do it. Fungal infections are more common than people admit. And with women, they can paint over their thickened yellow toenails. But men can’t hid it when one or two or several nails begins thickening and turning yellow and gray from fungus growing under the toenail. It’s gross.

Find a place where they give you a great foot massage to go along with it. That's my two cents.

To avoid infection, take along your own personal implements for any procedure that involves cutting and scraping cuticles and callouses. That, or instruct the pedicurist to push back the cuticle, not cut it.

I was in Houston for Rodeo some years back. I walked by a manicure place there was a row of grizzled over-50s cowboys getting foot spas.

R24 they were probably cowboy queens who never changed their image.
