Not a bad list, OP -but I'd remove the musical version of Phantom of the Opera and replace it with the Lon Chaney version, and add The Legend of Hell House in there somewhere.

Three British TV horror miniseries from the 1970s:

The original Lawrence Gordon Clark "Ghost Story for Christmas" TV specials (the recent Mark Gatiss revival series isn't as good)

"Supernatural," Gothic tales produced and (mostly) written by Robert Mueller, the best two episodes featuring his wife Billie Whitelaw

"Beasts," animal-themed horrors written by Nigel Kneale of "Quatermass" and "Halloween III" fame

You’re supposed to list a movie for each day. Don’t you all know how this works?

by Anonymousreply 9October 6, 2025 2:34 PM

The 1965 version of 10 Little Indians is ruined by the ugly house it takes place in.

The original Halloween is much better than its usually given credit for being, as are the first Nightmare on Elm Street and Hellraiser.

Others that should be added: Carrie, MIsery, The Shining, The Lost Boys, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, Alien, Invasion of the Body Snatchers,
