Bertinelli's back with a new memoir 'Getting Naked'!

Our gal Val just won't go away !

'Getting Naked' is a candid account of Bertinelli's perspective on insecurity, vulnerability and growing older. "It’s never too late to make peace with yourself," a synopsis promises.

Getting Naked addresses Bertinelli's "insecurities that have haunted her for decades," including body image issues and a persistent need to be perfect — insecurities that a wide range of women can identify with, per the book's synopsis. "It’s about the myths we believe when we’re young — about beauty, love, success — and how we carry them until they break us open," the synopsis reads. "It’s about unlearning the script that says women must please, endure and stay silent."

Bertinelli tells PEOPLE she's thrilled for her new memoir to come out — and a tad nervous. “I’m excited if not a little nervous because this book is almost uncomfortably personal," Bertinelli tells PEOPLE. "I’m hoping it reaches the right people so that they can see themselves in it and know that there’s a way through all the challenges we have in our life.”

"Getting Photoshopped."

by Anonymousreply 1October 4, 2025 10:44 PM

Nobody wants to see that.

by Anonymousreply 2October 4, 2025 10:45 PM

She's had no work done, and could easily pass for 30.

Take a lesson girls, this is how you age gracefully in Hollywood.

by Anonymousreply 3October 4, 2025 10:58 PM

You really have to hand it to her - her most notable credit is a sitcom from 50 years ago and she's managed to stay in the public eye ever since. All of the other cute young tv actresses from back then are long gone, but Val's still here hustling like nobody's business.

by Anonymousreply 4October 4, 2025 11:09 PM

Who is she fucking at People magazine to get these constant write-ups? JFC . She must be paying her publicist a mint.

I'm so tired of hearing people talk about body issues. She gained 100 pounds. She's rich, beautiful, famous - she could hire a nutritionist, chef and trainer.

Guess what? Everyone has things on their body that they wish they could change.

Like she has anything new to say on the matter. And hasn't she claimed this shit before - then ballooned up, the Jenny Craig dieted her way down like 15 times?

by Anonymousreply 5October 4, 2025 11:14 PM

Val would market her own feces if it meant continued publicity.

That's not her most 'notable', that's the one which launched her career. I know many younger fans of her who never saw ODAAT, but know her from 'Hot In Cleveland' and on the Food Network.

by Anonymousreply 7October 4, 2025 11:19 PM

Her stints on Touched by An Angel and Hot in Cleveland are far more remembered than One Day at a Time, which hasn't been in steady syndication for decades.

by Anonymousreply 8October 4, 2025 11:21 PM

Dude. GO THE FUCK AWAY. PLEASE. No more- Go cry alone.

In the end you die in your own arms, Val.

by Anonymousreply 9October 4, 2025 11:23 PM

Who? Mae Martin?

by Anonymousreply 10October 4, 2025 11:25 PM

“Now shocking revelations of what went on behind the scenes of ‘One Day at a Time.’ The boys, the booze, the drugs, and now Valerie blows the lid off one television’s biggest scandals set to shock Hollywood. Bonnie Franklin’s secret lesbian lust, tonight on Access Hollywood.”

by Anonymousreply 11October 4, 2025 11:45 PM

I'm sick of her.

by Anonymousreply 12October 4, 2025 11:47 PM

Transfer emergency power to the soft light generators!

[quote]"It’s never too late to make peace with yourself," a synopsis promises.

That sounds more like a threat than a promise.

by Anonymousreply 14October 5, 2025 12:12 AM

There's only one way to put this, Val, we don't give a fuck.

by Anonymousreply 15October 5, 2025 12:15 AM

Getting naked was never a problem for Val.

by Anonymousreply 16October 5, 2025 12:30 AM

The little whore was naked all the time!

Why do you think I turned to the drugs?

by Anonymousreply 17October 5, 2025 1:21 AM

She's constantly chasing validation.

by Anonymousreply 18October 5, 2025 1:23 AM

R18 - no - I think she's addicted to fame and press.

And unfortunately, she probably has a great Q score and high ratings for over 50 women. They wouldn't put out so many stories about her if people didn't click and read them.

She gives post-menopausal women what they want - self-care talk, acceptance, challenges of getting older, clips and reminders of their youth, etc.

We're not the audience, clearly.

by Anonymousreply 19October 5, 2025 2:18 AM

She’s pathetic at it though.^^

She’s failed. Over and over.

by Anonymousreply 20October 5, 2025 2:28 AM

Some women must love her. I have two sisters in that age group. They find her insufferable. But you're right, there are many middle class women who want to be told that they are SO brave because they live a life that is more luxurious than that of 95% of the rest of the planet, and because they got a divorce and got money from their ex and then re-married and the second marriage didn't work out. Oh, you are fascinating and courageous! And she is a cute-enough but short, dumpy little thing and again, the average frau wants to be told that (while she is in fact mediocre), she should consider herself sexy and desirable and adorbs. It's the Live Laugh Love crowd.

I'm tired of Valerie and her oversharing. Basta!

by Anonymousreply 21October 5, 2025 2:34 AM

Jesus Fucking Christ, Val. You're a broken record. Don't you have any hobbies?

by Anonymousreply 22October 5, 2025 2:47 AM

All of those Romano women were whores

by Anonymousreply 23October 5, 2025 2:48 AM

Apparently the word "oversharing" isn't in her dictionary.

by Anonymousreply 24October 5, 2025 2:55 AM

I remember seeing her on one of the talk shows a long time ago - can't remember which - and the interviewer brought up that he heard she had dated Steven Spielberg. How'd that go he asked and she responded that he didn't like pasta. She knew it wouldn't work she said because "I'm Italian!" I thought, I like her, she's not afraid to be honest.

by Anonymousreply 25October 5, 2025 3:02 AM

if Bonnie Franklin had released a memoir called "Getting Naked," every Gen X gay man i know would have bought it, but for the wrong reasons.

by Anonymousreply 26October 5, 2025 3:22 AM

“Check out my new book!”

Why hasn't Wolfie made her a grandmother yet? I think he's been married for a few years now.

50 year old women were just being born when One Day At A Time was in the air.

by Anonymousreply 29October 5, 2025 4:28 AM

And a Welcome Back Kotter to you too…

by Anonymousreply 30October 5, 2025 4:33 AM

"Don't you have any hobbies?

—The ghost of Eddie Van Halen"

Dredging up her stories of Eddie IS her hobby.

by Anonymousreply 31October 7, 2025 5:55 AM

Is Bertinelli one of those Italian directors who wore wraparound sunglasses and a cape and made black and white movies?
