Trump Is Withdrawing His Controversial Bureau of Labor Statistics Nominee
The criminal Trump nominated rightwing economist E.J. Antoni after ousting the previous commissioner, whom he baselessly accused of manipulating jobs numbers.
Trump is pulling his controversial nomination for rightwing economist E.J. Antoni to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The White House confirmed the switch-up following reports from CNN and The Associated Press on Tuesday, saying Trump “plans to announce a new nominee very soon.”

“I don’t think I have ever publicly criticized any Presidential nominee before. But E.J. Antoni is completely unqualified to be BLS Commissioner,” Jason Furman, a top economic adviser in Barack Obama’s White House wrote on social media at the time. “He is an extreme partisan and does not have any relevant expertise. He would be a break from decades of nonpartisan technocrats.”
Antoni has also advocated for getting rid of social security, repeatedly slamming it as a “Ponzi scheme” during a radio interview from last year unearthed by The Washington Post.
Asshole--and replace Social Security with what?!

He avoids the truth. He doesn't want people to know how many are unemployed.

They conveniently have an excuse not to release the jobs report this Friday, the 4th of October...
With the government shutdown, this is one of the jobs deemed "non-essential."

Just an anecdotal story regarding prices, tariffs and overall sales...
With the October 14 deadline looming when Microsoft will no long be servicing Windows 10, I just bought a new laptop with Windows 11 at Best Buy.
The laptop I bought happened to be on sale. However, the salesman told me that most laptops have increased in price by about $200. Meaning, if a laptop was previously $600, it's now approximately $800...and if a laptop was $800, it's now approximately $1,000, and on and on, etc.
But the salesman also said that overall, sales in general have significantly dropped since the Trump tariffs began which has affected the Best Buy workforce.
