As a gay teenager coming of age in the mid-late 2000s, none of the teen sex comedies of this era were truly relatable for me, but I always found this movie charming. I presume most heterosexual teen boys appreciated it for Elisha Cuthbert's beauty, but looking back at it, it has more heart than a lot of similar movies from this era. It feels more like an '80s comedy with a millennial facade. I can see why so many men fawned over Cuthbert. She is gorgeous in it, but still has a relatable screen presence. Emile Hirsch played the cute nerd very well, and the supporting cast is great (Paul Dano, Chris Marquette, James Remar, Timothy Olyphant). It also has a wonderful soundtrack. Dare I say this film is underrated?
You and I are probably similar in that we’re the same age and we watched this for Emile?
It does seem a bit dated for its time except for her being a former porn star. I don’t think John Hughes would’ve gone there, but Porky’s would have!

R1 I would’ve been around 13 when this came out and saw it when I was around 14, so yeah, similar age presumably. Emile is adorable in it.

She is an undeniably beautiful woman, but it was Emile who made me feel things watching this film.

Emile Hirsch wanted to do the nude scenes but he was underage at the time so that's not his real ass.

Enough with the hetsex. I come here to escape it, not wallow in it.
